Miki took our family of four, including children aged 7 years and 5 years, on a one day tour of Shanghai. Miki speaks great English and has a very engaging and affable personality, we felt immediately at ease. She was also very good with the kids, involving them in everything we were doing and always thinking about whether they were ok, if we should stop for a break/drink etc on what was quite a hot day. Driver was included and we saw lots of interesting sites but the highlight was probably when Miki took us to a park and got out various Chinese teas for us to try. Was a lovely experience sitting in a pretty park sampling the teas and it clearly had an impact on my son who now has his own tea pot back home and regularly drinks Chinese tea! Thanks for a great day Miki!!

I made 2 tours with this agency: the whole day Shanghai City Highlight Day Tour and the whole day Hangzhou tour. Everything perfectly organized, incl. my pick-up at the airport. I appreciated a very comfortable car (van) and my guide Melody gave me a lot of very interesting information about the city and the region. We also had an excellent lunch during both tours. I would just prefer having also some free time and some more chance to decide on what we will eat. But overall, very nice experience and excellent service, I would definitely recommend this agency.

Despite a very hot day, our private Shanghai tour with Melody was excellent. There were 13 in our group. Our tour started with a visit to Yuyuan Gardens, first the food court to check out the local food scene and then to the gardens itself. Next was a brief stop at the Bund and the financial center of Pudong. After an excellent lunch near Nanjing pedestrian street, she recommended a visit to the Shanghai Urban Planning exhibition hall. This was a great recommendation since it was indoors and it was 100 degrees outside. Our last stop was Tianzifang at the Former French Concession. Each one of us also received a calligraphy souvenir with our name from the tour company. Highly recommended.

Booked this tour a few weeks in advance. Fast response and answered all my pre-arrival questions with patience.
Mary was our tour guide and she was excellent in almost every way. Great English, informative, caring and she didn't mind sharing the histories in English to me, my sister and my wife and Mandarin to my parents.
The van that took us for 2 days tour was cosy, big and spacious for the 6 of us.
Overall, highly recommended tour.

It was more than a dream. A true royal treatment, going round Shanghai with a private bus for 20 people and we were only 4 on it. Our guide Mary was more than incredible. So nice, entertaining. Always there for us. Taking wonderful and uncommon picture of us.
Shanghai is an incredible, beautiful city, but thanks to Mary it was even more than that.
She provided us with useful information and tips to maximize our holiday in Shanghai.
I do suggest with no hesitation Miki tours: wonderful!!

Our amazing guide Apple showed us the city on our schedule and interests. We really got a complete overview of Shanghai. We saw Wu Gardens, The Bund, The French Concession, the old French Park and we had an amazing Chinese lunch at a great restaurant.
Apple was smart, friendly and accommodating to our interests. I highly recommend this tour for a first day of your visit.

I visited Shanghai with my husband who was there on business - so I was on my own during the day. Having a private tour guide was the best way to see the city! Mabel was my guide - she was fantastic. Her English is superb and she made me feel welcomed and comfortable all day. We did the tour via public transport and I would highly recommend this. Mabel worked out the most economic metro tickets to buy and then we were off. Mabel’s knowledge of the metro lines was invaluable, which saved us a lot of time. Travelling via metro was efficient and made me feel like I experienced the real Shanghai. (And the metro is sooooo clean 👍In fact, all of Shanghai is incredibly clean.)
We visited Old Shanghai, Yu Garden, The Bund, crossed the river via Ferry, had amazing dumplings in a restaurant with a view of the river, walked past the French concession, visited antique shops, - all in 6 hours. Mabel took me into buildings I would never have seen on my own and gave me a real insight into Shanghai’s culture today and in the past. I would highly recommend Mabel from Miki Tours. I had an amazing day. (Mabel also helped me find a local restaurant for dinner and also helped me book a massage for the following day! Thanks Mabel. Superb service). Xie xie 😊

We booked Miki for our trip to Shanghai and Hangzhou in advance. Over email, she and her team were super-responsive and very helpful with tips, such as installing WeChat & VPNs, and suggesting what to do and what to leave.
Our pick up from the airport went smoothly. But our first day of sightseeing began on a cloudy, rainy and cold note. We were reconciled to a somewhat muted experience of Shanghai. Instead, we found a bright smiling Miki in the lobby, determined to make us have a great time!
Her infectious charm and love for the city imbued us with energy. Despite a steady drizzle, she got us out of the bus, under our umbrellas and wove engaging stories around the monuments and buildings on the Bund, the various quarters and their histories, and even managed to show us a glimpse of the poor neighborhoods of Shanghai that are vanishing with redevelopment.
Before we left Shanghai, we had a day without a guide, but Miki insisted on helping us plan it and even orchestrated our pick up and drops through her Didi app!
On our days out to Suzhou and Hangzhou, her solicitousness towards my father and his comfort were touching. She always kept an eye out for how we were faring as a group and was quick to change plans and tailor the day to our needs. Once, the driver of our vehicle was a bit unresponsive. By the next halt, she had already managed a change of vehicle over the phone!
As it came closer to the time we'd say goodbye, she regaled us with evocative Chinese songs (rendered beautifully) native to the area we were visiting. Having seen our love for the local food we ate, she had bought appropriate presents for us! We felt a lump in our throats as we bid adieu.
Months later, on Wechat, we got talking again, as if we were family, and she assisted with our plans for visiting another part of China. It felt as if we were talking to family.

For the first day of my short trip to Shanghai I wanted someone to show me the highlights and help me get my bearings, and Apple was a perfect companion. She was friendly and pushed me to see as much as possible while also giving me space to stop when I needed to, and with public transit and a lot of walking we saw a heck of a lot. I don't usually do private tours, but they seemed to be the most common option in Shanghai and I don't regret a bit of mine. Thanks, Miki!
