Jamie was a great tour guide. She showed us around in a very comfortable pace and we had enough time to enjoy the beautiful tour. At all times she made sure that we're doing alright and her stunning knowledge kept us entertained and interested throughout the whole trip.
There was so much to see and to discover that there was no space for boredom. Shanghai was so beautiful and the places we visited gave a great impression, also due to Jamie's fantastic explanations and her professional and lively informations and stories.
We recommend you to get Jamie as your guide as she did a wonderful job and we had so much fun.

Once we started the tour we were informed that two major items on the itinerary were not available: 1) the Shanghai museum is closed on Mondays and 2) Yu Garden was closed for renovations. If the tour operator had informed us when making the reservation we would have switched our tours around to be sure we saw the Museum. Lunch was terrible. We did meet another couple of tourists from Croatia and had a great time laughing and sharing travel stories.

I (late 20s) booked this this tour with my parents (late 60s) through our hotel. We were deciding between the hop on hop off bus tour and an organized tour through the hotel. Ultimately, we decided on the gray line tour because even though the audio sets come in English on the hop on hop off bus, the bus is often loud and we preferred a more intimate experience with guided explanation at each of the sites we visited. On the day of the tour, we only had one additional person join (4 people total) so it was a nearly private tour, which was great! We even had a nice mini-van which was more comfortable than a large coach bus. Jessie was able to customize the tour to meet our needs (trouble walking long distances, dietary restrictions, etc.). Also, she was able to modify our itinerary based on wait times/closures as it was the 70th anniversary and quite crowded in Shanghai. Even my extremely picky parents only had positive things to say about our tour with Jessie. I would highly recommend this tour while in Shanghai and would suggest that if you book this tour (which you should!) that you should ask for her as your guide.

Very glad I booked this tour with Grayline Shanghai. I was picked up at the Westin Bund hotel and the guide Peter and driver came very early. We visited lots of places, including Jade Buddha temple, Yu garden and bazaar, the old French area, Museum of Shanghai , Bund, etc. Peter was very patient and taken good care of us, he explained everything we wanted to know.
We had lovely lunch at local place.
I loved this tour and this city. Hope we can have Peter as our guide on the next trip to Shanghai.

I booked on this tour because I only had one day to see Shanghai and I was on my own. I expected to be with other tourists on a large coach with brief information as we were dropped off at various attractions. How wrong could I be! I was the only person on the tour and Frank, my tour guide was delightful! Extremely well informed, courteous and friendly, it was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with him. The tour itself was a mixture of temples, tourist sights, city areas and, yes some shopping opportunities, but an excellent way for a first timer to see Shanghai. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I would absolutely recommend this tour!

I selected this tour because I only had a weekend in Shanghai and it seemed like it was the best option to see a lot of places in a short amount of time. This tour definitely delivered on that!! We visited so many different places I felt like I got a great feel for the city. Peter, our guide, was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Overall wonderful experience that taught me a lot about Shanghai and China.

I only had one day to explore Shanghai on a business trip and found this Gray Line tour as one of the few that wasn’t a “private” tour (expensive for one person). It was a great summary of the city, checking off many of the “must-do’s” across Shanghai. There were four passengers on our tour with a driver and guide. Jamie, the guide, was very knowledgeable about the city and friendly. Her English was very good and she was able to answer any questions we had!
Overall a very good tour to get to see a lot in one day!
