About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- johnbK1581LI0 contributionsMr Buller Train please slow downThe boat was good but the tour overall was awful. The tour guide was probably the worst I have ever had. I will only elaborate if you need me but I don’t want to harm anyone’s job. For a start though, after 3 hours he never once referred to me by name and he never told me his. There were only 3 on the tour ! Apart from that I found he lacked respect for a customer that was obviously having trouble keeping up but he kept going like a bullet train. So disrespectfulWritten March 20, 2025
- Paul H0 contributionsShanghai lightsGreat little tour for small groups. Tom was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the area’s history. With the hotel collection and drop off it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Got some great photos as Shanghai is very impressive at night. I would recommend.Written March 9, 2025
- Mashgiach0 contributionsMini venice in ShanghaiNice place to visit when in Shanghai its the Shanghai version of venice and traditional Chinese village. We rented a boat for 25 minutes and was worth itWritten March 3, 2025
- Zoltán F0 contributionsTrip to Suzhou and water villageThat was a bad decision. The tour guide didn't even introduce himself, he was like a military officer. The Suzhou program was quite incomprehensible. Lunch is a disaster. There were plenty of nice restaurants in the water village, it wouldn't have been more expensive, but even in Suzhou they took me to a restaurant on the ground floor of a block of flats. The guide wasn't even willing to ask for a beer - we pay for it, of course - but he didn't offer language help either. I do not recommend this service at all!Written March 3, 2025
- merryheartsg0 contributionsA magical journey through the heart of ShanghaiWhen it comes to experiencing the vibrant energy and breathtaking beauty of Shanghai, there's no better way than embarking on a Huangpu River Night Cruise. This iconic journey offers a front-row seat to the city's dazzling skyline, where the past and present of Shanghai come alive under the glow of neon lights and starlit skies. The Huangpu River, often referred to as the "Mother River of Shanghai," divides the city into two distinct yet harmonious halves: Puxi, the historic western side with its colonial architecture and the famous Bund, and Pudong, the futuristic eastern side boasting soaring skyscrapers like the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower. As the sun sets and the city lights begin to sparkle, the river becomes a mirror reflecting the soul of Shanghai. The night cruise lasts about an hour, offering ample time to soak in the views and capture unforgettable memories. Modern, well-equipped boats provide both indoor and outdoor seating, ensuring comfort regardless of the weather. As you glide along the river, you'll be treated to panoramic views of: • The Bund: A stunning stretch of historic buildings illuminated in golden hues, showcasing Shanghai's colonial past. • Pudong's Skyline: A futuristic marvel of towering skyscrapers, including the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center, lit up in a mesmerizing display of colors. • Bridges and Waterfronts: The river is dotted with beautifully lit bridges, such as the Nanpu Bridge and Yangpu Bridge, adding to the visual spectacle.Written February 16, 2025
- nicholashN6346EG0 contributionsRefused refundI don't know how the trip was exactly because the tour operator refused to pick me up from my hotel. I was not informed that they wouldn't service my hotel, which is on the way from shanghai to the first destination, until the night before I was booked to go, meaning that I was unable to cancel my booking through trip advisor and get a refund. I believe they must do this on purpose in order to catch people out. They also were dishonest to me and said it was impossible for them to cancel the booking on their end. I went through tripadvisor customer service and they contacted the operator who refused to give a refund. So they lied, they could absolutely give a refund, they just didnt want to. Very unprofessional. Maybe some people get lucky and it all works out with this operator, but I would not trust them.Written January 10, 2025
- John D0 contributionsBest of Shanghai is worth it!There is a lot to see you get a wide ranging experience. It was like our own private tour. Well worth it! Wear comfortable shoes.Written January 4, 2025
- Pr1nc310 contributionsA must do!This was by far the best was to enjoy the city in all its glory at night, we were so lucky to have a perfectly clear night to enjoy unobstructed views across both sides of the river, old meets new, the river splitting them, allowing them both to shine respective of one another. We were able to get really good spot on the boat so we didn’t need to move at all, be sure to get there early as everyone rushes to the edges of the boats to get the best views and the locals don’t hesitate to push, especially in the so-called queue area, which is rather chaotic. But it’s so worth the madness to take in the views.Written December 23, 2024
- 317shalendras0 contributionsGood Experience but poor ServiceRushed us in the morning and did not let us have our breakfast and were very rude. They went on to pick other customers for the trip who were late 20-30 minutes. We clearly advised that we do not consume beef/pork and yet we were served with pork. Ended up not having lunchWritten December 7, 2024
- GregMS570 contributionsSpectacularAs part of our tour, we ended the day with a picturesque evening cruise on the Huang Pu River, featuring breathtaking views of the city skyline and the iconic Bund. The 45-minute cruise included an upgrade to a 'VIP' private area on the boat, which we paid extra for to avoid the pushy crowds.Written November 18, 2024
- Vacation149398120860 contributionsIt was a good day spent on the roadWe enjoyed the entire trip. Get ready for a lot of traffic coming and going out of Shanghai, but it’s a good way to see rural China in the eyes of the water village. We felt the trip was well planned with a lot of things to see on Suzhou, the garden is incredible and the silk museum is worth it to learn some silk making and buy some real silk products. Our guide Elena was with us the whole time explaining about history and sights we were seeing. Lunch was actually good, would prefer to have it in the water village though. We wish we had more time to spend in the water village.Written November 9, 2024

- 125clivej0 contributionsExcellent Day Tour - Small GroupExcellent tour with Tom. Very knowledgeable. Just the right amount of commentary then you get some time to explore each location before moving to the next place. Quite a bit of driving between locations which is ok because you get to look at the city. A fair amount of walking so wear good shoes and dress for the season. Very hot and humid in September. Lunch was great. Nothing too scary for a westerner. We started at 8am and was back at hotel around 3.30pm but we were only a group of 3 so larger groups may take a little longer. Silk ‘factory’ at the end is a little bit of a hard sell but you don’t need to buy anything. Don’t feel obligated ! Fantastic clean and safe city.Written September 28, 2024
- yesplease720 contributionsA Great Way To See The CityWe took this boat cruise as part of a China tour. The night we went was particularly hot and the boat was quite full. We paid a few extra dollars and we were able to be in an area that had fewer people and the extra $ gave you a drink and something to nibble on. The cruise takes under an hour and gives a great view of the modernity of buildings and lights in Shanghai. Highly recommended and do your best to get a spot at the side of the boat so you can get great photos.Written September 24, 2024

The magnificent Tian'an men Square is giganticly big and yet one could hardly set a foot in front of the other without bumping into someone. The history is rich and tragic, military and police are presents is everywhere. We were told not to look them in the eye nor to take pictures of them.

My experience in this tour was very good, They picked me up at the hotel at 6 am and had no issues at the airport (I believe because it was December) tour was very good, the silk stop is not really that exciting I really did not waste much time over there, I just said I was interested buying anything and moved on to the forbidden city where I use the extra time to walk all over, it is a lot of walking all day so you better bring confortable shoes. Jade store was nice, good food and they gave you the option to buy jade souvenirs. Great wall was a lot of exercise, you can walk as much as you want and the guide will go with you, try to spend some time in the stores and temples around, you can buy good souvenirs there.
