      Great tour
Excellent tour with Sateesh who was very informative about Indian history as he took me on a very varied walk around the Fort St George, St Mary’s church, the Armenian church and a temple. I learnt lots. And booked into another tour with the same company.

Five Senses and Satish: a winning combination!
Satish was a most wonderful guide, whose knowledge of history and culture of the city of Chennai was remarkable. His ability to integrate lessons from the past with life today made it an extraordinarily informative and worthwhile visit. My daughter and I were extraordinarily pleased and recommend Satish and Five Senses Tours very highly. Thank you again Satish.

      I perfect day in Chennai!
This tour was a fantastic way to see Chennai. Kannan is very knowledgeable and taught me so much about the sites that we saw. Even though it is a walking tour, there is a driver to take you from place to place, walking takes place around the areas that you are visiting. I highly recommend this tour to see the sights in Chennai. I also did the Mysore Kingdom tour the day before this tour, it was a perfect combination to see inside and outside of Chennai. Wherever I travel, I will look to see if a 5 Senses Tours is available!

      Great history lesson about Chennai.
The Georgtown heritage tour was a fun experience. I learned a great deal about the history here in Chennai and I visited many interesting churches, cafes and the vibrant street market. The guide was superb! I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Chennai for the first time.

Historical and cultural tour de force
I had a private tour with my guide Satish, who was able to pick me up from my hotel and drop me off back there. Starting at the magnificent Fort St George, I was quickly immersed in the history of the East India Company and was able to view the houses of Clive of India as well as the Duke of Wellington. The Church of St Mary in the Fort complex is stunning. Walking a short distance from the Fort, we went past the beautiful Madras High Court (noting where it was attacked during WW1) and towards Parry’s Corner, learning about the mercantile history of this area. Our next stop led us to the spectacular Armenian Church, where I was able to spend time inside admiring the altar and marvelling at the architecture. We stopped for food at Murugan Idli which was probably the best idli and chutney combination I have ever had! Special sukku coffee (spicy ginger and jagree flavour) was then had and we explored local markets nearby. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and recommend it anyone with either an interest in British colonial history or wanting a local culinary/architectural experience.

      Awesome learning experience
I had a great time on this walking tour as Nivi provided me with in depth information about the temples we visited. Hey knowledge and her friendly demeanor helped make the tour a super enjoyable experience.

Hareesh was an excellent guide! The pace of the tour was just right and enjoyed learning about the history of the Mylapore neighborhood and the insights into the religious and cultural philosophies. The booking process was easy and straightforward. Thanks to Hareesh and the 5 Sense Walks teams for a wonderful and worthwhile experience. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Chennai!

Such a wonderful and enlightening tour! An absolute must
An absolute must if you are visiting Chennai. Our guide Srikrishnan was so informed and charming, he brought to life our tour and most importantly left us wanting more! We only had one day in Chennai, as we were just passing through - I cannot recommend this enough to get a sense of the foundations of the culture and history of Chennai and the south of India.

      Perfect walking tour in Chennai
This tour was perfect - our guide gave prior notice of arrival, was on time, was very informative without being boring. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Chennai. Our guide Nivi was very helpful even when the tour was over helping us book a ride to our next destination and giving many food recommendations :) Our filter coffee break was also v delicious! Chennai is most beautiful because of the people ❤️

      First time in Chennai
What an amazing tour! Went with husband and 2 kids (18 and 20) with Kannan and driver Anand Babu for a magical 4 hours of stories and the history, culture and customs of the sites on this itinerary. We learned so much - and much more than I could through a guide book. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour, well organised and full of interesting facts. We visited 3 temples and one church. The guide Kannan was very hospital and took us for a coffee. Highly recommend this tour.

      Great tour
Mr. Hareesh accompanied us on the tour, he explained very well and guided us. We were able to see the ramakrishna mutt, kapaleeswar temple, jain temple and st. Thomas cathedral. It was a great experience.

      Far beyond the expectation
The tour was very interesting. Kannan was very knowledgeable and available to reply all sort of questions. We had similar tour in the past, in other cities, but he was one of the best ever. He did not limit the explanations to basics and he also explained anedocts difficult to find in books. We also appreciated the extra coffe experience

While Nivi was an outstanding guide, I feel that the description of this tour was somewhat misleading. It really is just a shopping experience on one very busy street. Opportunity to buy goods in stores and from street vendors. Having said that, Nivi was extremely generous with her knowledge, and in answering our peculiar questions, we learnt a great deal.

Thanks for this opportunity to host you. I am glad you enjoyed this walk with Nivi. Regarding the title and theme , as mentioned it is a "wedding shopping" walk not a "wedding walk". The streets we go is where the shopping for south indian weddings happens. It was our pleasure hosting you.

My favorite tour on my trip to India. Nivi was a great guide. She made it informative as well as fun. I felt like it was a tour with a friend, not a guide. Our driver was fantastic too. Not only did he do the tour with us, and be the bag carrier for my shopping, he
went out his way to take me to a shop to make a special purpose.. I would recommend 5 Senses Tour to anyone.

What an amazing day! Padma was a phenomenal guide as she told me so many things about shopping for an indian wedding. We visited magnificent jewelry shops. The colorful silk saree shops were incredible. So were the roadside flower shops. The best part of the walk was the conversation and the perspective you get about Indian way of life. Do this. It's worth it
