On this full-day tour explore the major sights of the pink city of Jaipur. Built in the 18th century, it was the first planned city of India. This was a highlight of our trip and our teenage son was really looking forward to this experience. We first set off to the vegetable and spice markets so learn about the foods used in our dishes and where they came from, negotiating the Jaipur traffic which was an experience in itself! We then took a short Tuk Tuk ride back to the homestay, where we cooked up dishes and then partook in a meal of our dishes. The guide had very basic English and didn’t have much to say at all. It was a long and boring day not to mention a complete rip off. The only good part is the temple. You can easily take a Uber there for very little money. I am not only disappointed but outraged at the cost.Written September 14, 2024
