About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- myrmic0 contributionsNegative Experience with Special Holidays in Rajasthan, IndiaWe were a group of 17 persons who have travelled to different countries and so had a vast experience abroad. We booked this tour through an agent in our country and the programme was planned by the travel agent and Special Holidays in India. The 15 day tour was not well planned. During the 15 days we changed 10 hotels, so we stayed for 2 nights in only 3 hotels. Most of the days we were travelling from 0800 to 1700 sometimes even later, just travelling on a minibus and stopping every 2 hrs for a pipi stop. We survived on breakfast and dinner in hotels. Imagine arriving in the hotel for dinner, and the next morning, pack the luggage and leave for another day on the bus! After the long drives we did some sightseeing of temples or forts. The local guide was always speaking about Hindu religion which he himself follows and after a couple of days we were bored with visiting just temples and forts. Imagine 15 days on a bus, barely some free time and were given twice a one-hour free time on our request to mingle with the locals in a street market. We never got to feel the vibe of the locals. Also a show at Agra about Taj Mahal was offered to us on my request while a boat cruise in Udaipur was again possible after one of us in the group requested to go. No initiative whatsoever from the local guide. The guide was telling us that he was following the programme but surprisingly enough we were forced to attend 3 visits to textiles, silk and carpets factories obviously to try to make us buy stuff in order to have their share of commission and which were not included in the program! The hotel in Pushkar was definitely not to our standard and not worth the money we paid for this tour! We flew from Delhi to Varanasi for 2 nights. This was an interesting experience and the guide in Varanasi was amazing, no words can describe his vast knowledge and his communicative skills. He stuffed us with interesting details during his one day Varanasi guiding. Pity we could enjoy his guiding skills only on a single day. The cherry on the cake was on our last day. We flew back from Varanasi to Delhi arriving at 1800, travelled on minibus to hotel and arrived in hotel at 2030 due to traffic, had dinner in hotel, rooms assigned for a shower, and left hotel at midnight to Delhi airport again for our return flight. Is it possible that no one thought about booking a hotel close to Delhi airport so that we could have had some time to relax before our long journey home? Hours and hours in traffic chaos especially in Delhi! Such a pity that our expectations were not met, since a lot more could have been covered in 14 days!Written November 19, 2023
- Monsoondreamer0 contributionsBhati Tours Goes BeyondI have been traveling with Bhati since 2005. I have gone on a private tour of Jaipur tailored to my tastes. I have been to restaurants that allowed me to feel like a local. Once, when I could not convince the waitstaff that I wanted my food “Rajasthan-spicy, not gora-spicy” Bhati actually went into the kitchen (he knew the chef as he knows everyone in town) to convince them to cook for me as I wished. I have been to the desert with Bhati. What I guess I am trying to say is that Bhati has gone so far out of his way, so many times, that I consider him a friend. Ask him about his experience growing up in Jaipur; his back story is super-interesting. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.Written May 12, 2022
- Trish P0 contributionsTour Performance Highest MarksMr Bhati took such good care of us! We did his Golden Triangle Tour - Delhi Agra to Jaipur. Our driver was so professional and the vehicle was top notch. All travel arrangements where handled with no hiccup- it was an excellent experience!Written November 20, 2021

- 557marianag0 contributionswonderful workAn interesting tour to see from beginning to end the traditional process of block printing cotton fabrics. Most notable was the positive disposition towards us of the guide, who at all times was attentive to our doubts and needs.Written February 18, 2020

- ThanatR40 contributionsImpressive experience with dedicated serviceI book the tour with Bhati, the driver is so nice. My time spent with him is wonderful in Jaipur. Wander around many attractions such as the famous Amber fort, Jal mahal the floating palace, Jaigah fort and Narhagah fort, Monkey temple, City palace etc. You can also ask the driver to help you schedule the plan. The service is so good !!Written June 9, 2019
- Cecol19510 contributionsGovernment handicrafts store at Amer Fort, JaipurThis store was more reasonable compared to some outlets in Jaipur, but don't fall for the "free palmistry session" which is totally fake !!! At the end of the gibberish, you will be induced to purchase a gem stone (costly)for the good health/safety/longevity of either self/daughter/son/etc. The palmist makes it sound so convincing, my husband almost fell for it ! Don't rely on Taxi/auto drivers to take you shopping. All take you to places which give THEM a good commission !Written May 19, 2019
- mustbesuzy0 contributionsSadly disappointedWe booked a 15 night extended driving tour of the Golden Triangle then on to Pushkar, Jodhpur and Udaipur. All through the booking process Ranjeet happily reassured us that everything was going to be great, we wouldn't need to research much about the areas as his drivers would know where to take us and that the driver would be available to us whenever we needed him. Basically we were met after a long flight from London Heathrow to Delhi by a driver who said Hi to us and then spoke to the porter who was assisting my disabled husband. The driver went off and the porter wheeled us around to the taxi rank and that's where we stayed for 45 minutes in the very hot sunshine just hoping the driver would come back for us at some point, goodness knows where he'd parked the car but it was obviously a long way away. He did turn up but we never got any sort of explanation or apology. Anyway Ranjeet had said the driver would take us directly to get some money exchanged as its a closed currency and we couldn't buy any rupees at home so had absolutely nothing to give tips ect. We asked him but he said later and drove us straight to the hotel telling us he would collect us again at 5pm for a tour of Delhi by night and to change some cash, he did collect us and we drove around Connaught Place at least 6-7 times, eventually my Husband had to remind him we needed to exchange cash, he drove to a very deprived area and we walked through lots of streets with him asking directions from passers by, he obviously had no idea where we were all going but eventually we got there to find it was closed! So we exchanged at the hotel, which would have been fine all along if Ranjeet had said that was what we needed to do. I had organised a guide through Ranjeet the following day to show us around Delhi but was told by the driver that he would guide us fine by himself :O We already guessed he had no idea of Delhi, he lives in Jaipur so that night I contacted Ranjeet to explain that the driver spoke very little English, had no idea of what we were asking and didn't know Delhi! I can honestly say Ranjeet is a diamond, he came through throughout the whole trip with great guides in all the cities I requested one. I did happen to mention that the car we had been allocated was pretty tatty considering we'd upgraded to one of the companies better vehicles, the carpet was false grass, the seat covers where ripped, no cool bottled water as had been promised, in fact we didn't get cool water until day 7 after I'd mentioned it in an email to Ranjeet. The car had had a fair few bumps on the outside. Cutting a long story short, we got our fantastic Delhi guide and it was decided that we would get another car and driver for our journey to Agra and the rest of our trip. The new car was 100% better and our new driver Singh spoke much better English. He did tell us that he'd been given this job at the last minute and that he'd driven from Jaipur early that morning after only arriving home to Jaipur from a drop off at Delhi airport the night before, we felt compassionate towards him as my Husband used to be called out from work at the last minute himself. Anyway it was obvious he was tired to the point where my Husband had to keep making conversation with him on the road to try and keep Singh awake! Not good! Once we reached Jaipur on day 4 we settled into our hotel for 3 nights and told Singh to go spend time at home with his family, we only used his service in the mornings for a couple of hours and on one evening where we asked him to take us out for a meal. We were happy to give him time at home with his family whilst we were in Jaipur but looking back I think that set a precedence for the rest of our trip. He would collect us in the morning, drive us to the next hotel and usually leave us there until the following day when he would drive us round with the guide we hired through Ranjeet, there was no offer to drive us around or take us to restaurants so we were pretty stuck in the evenings. In Pushkar he dropped us at the market for an hour and absolutely refused to take us on a drive to see the lake or get a pizza and actually lied to us by saying that cars could not get near it! The following morning we were heading to Jodhpur and Singh was eager to get on the road, thankfully for us my Husband told him we were not leaving Pushkar without seeing the lake and seriously in less than a 10 minute drive we were at the lake in a beautiful spot that we could have seen the night before in all it's glory but sadly totally missed! We had to insist on breaks along the way to wherever we were heading and made to feel uncomfortable if we wanted to just spend 20 minutes having a drink and maybe something to eat, he was always in a hurry to get to our destination to drop us off and disappear. He did make an effort on the 12th night by taking us around Udaipur in a tuk tuk but that was spoilt a bit by him wanting selfies with me excluding my Husband that made me feel very uncomfortable, he offered to take me to a temple the following evening and said my Husband could stay in the car but by now I was a little bit worried and we refused. We love markets, Ranjeet knew this prior to booking but we were never allowed to visit any, Singh always said they were not for tourists until the day after we went on the tuk tuk ride, we quietly arranged for the same tuk tuk driver (Babba) to show us Udaipur which he did and we managed to visit every corner of the market and buy the souvenirs we'd wanted all along. On our arrival back into Delhi Singh said goodbye to my Husband but absolutely nothing to me, by the time I'd organised the bags and turned around the car was already heading out of the hotel grounds! We've been back home for a week now and had time to think about our trip, so our advice for anyone considering using this company...... Your just hiring a car & driver not a guide, it's a bit like hiring a taxi cab, they will get you from A to B safely but don't expect anything more because like us you will be disappointed. Please do your own research before you go so that you can instruct your driver on exactly what you want to do and see, I can happily recommend the guides Ranjeet hired for us. Don't let the driver set your pace because if you do you'll end up like us and not see half of what you thought you would! I'm not sure if Ranjeet knows most of this stuff but having met him once he seems very genuine to us and he did try to help us each time I sent him mail, maybe he just doesn't realise what's happening to his customers whilst in the drivers care or maybe we just got two poor drivers, we will never know for sure. Would I go back to India.... YES... but next time I'd use a car from different local companies along the way, being forced to spend so much time in the company of a person who doesn't appear to understand what you want until he's told in an assertive tone is very difficult, no bad words were spoken but it was a relief to be dropped off in Delhi, freedom after 14 nights of underlying stress. So Ranjeet, we think you're wonderful but your drivers that we experienced are in need of a bit of your passion regarding India. All the best Suzy & JonWritten May 19, 2019

- janeevans240 contributionsThe best car and driver package in IndiaI arrived at Delhi airport tired after a long flight on 11th March to be met by the smiling happy face of Shravan who would be my driver and excellent companion for the next 17 days. The car was kept spotless and topped up with water and fruit daily by Shravan, added to which the car had WiFi which was great for keeping in contact with friends and family back home. Shravan’s English was good and his driving skills are excellent. I always felt completely safe and comfortable in the car with him. Although I had made most arrangements myself, mr Bhati made some excellent accommodation recommendations and Shravan was eager to take me wherever I wanted to go and would research information if he did not know the answer. Nothing was ever too much trouble and there was always service with a huge smile. When I return to Rajasthan I will definitely use Bhati tours again. Thank you and namaste.Written March 27, 2019

This tour was worth taking since I didn't have to book an uber or cab when I went from place to place. It was more costly as the monuments were very close by and transportation in India is very cheap. The tour guide that we had was pleasant however, he took us into town to visit the shops of his friends so that we would purchase goods from them. This wasn't something we requested. I also saw him receive money from someone he past by. Be ware of tour guides in general.
