      Fun experience in Jaipur
Deeksha Gupta, the owner, is very nice, talented and accommodating. She spends time teaching the basics of wheel pottery, then let’s you get creative. Fun experience in a cool part of Jaipur. Head to JKK after to eat at the cafe and see some art

      Summer therapy
I did a 8 class beginners session at clay botik and absolutely fell in love with pottery. Very accommodating teacher - and very helpful staff members who constantly made sure that me and every other student who was attending found success. The studio has a lovely vibe - music is always good.. it’s always clean specially for a clay studio that can be hard. Everything is provided.. just show up and you leave relaxed and absolutely free of any worries. My summer in India was all the more special for this experience.

8 session pottery course; Highly Recommend
I came to Clay Botik and did a 8 session pottery course with Deeksha and I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn the basics of pottery!! My 8 sessions flew by, I learned how to make vases, bowls, plates, cups; glazing and cleaning. I enjoyed coming in each day and working with Deeksha. Clay Botik is a small studio which means you get more one on one attention during the lessons. I miss Clay Botik already and can’t wait to return someday!!

A fantastic way to ground back to earth with a fabulous teacher
I booked a 7 day course with Deeksha while my time in Jaipur, When meeting her I felt like I've known her before .. she so easy to get on with and we just chatted non stop! Being a newcomer to pottery since last year. It was a great joy to work with Deeksha and pick up some wonderful tips. I purposely wanted to focus on the wheel as it wasn't my strong point . But I'm sure you can do other techniques such as coiling and pinching.. by the end of the course I've managed to make a couple of bowls and 2 vases . Very impressed! And one day brought along my travel companion and he really enjoyed it that he decided to come twice.. I would strongly recommend this course if you are ever in Jaipur and just need to ground yourself again or master your techniques . A big thank you to you Deeksha and hopefully see you in the future.

So much fun learning something new!
I did the 7 day wheel pottery workshop with Deeksha and loved it! It's so satisfying to start with a lump of clay, decide what you'd like to make and then see it transform. Anyone can do this of any age. I find it really relaxing and enjoyable. You learn all the various stages of stoneware pottery, from preparing the clay to centering it on the wheel and then raising the clay and shaping it in to your very own work of art. Highly recommend trying this to anyone, whether you are just passing through Jaipur and need a break from shopping and sightseeing or have more time and can do a longer course.

      1.5 hour pottery lesson
Deeksha is lovely and a great teacher. We really enjoyed our lesson - the time went so quickly! She taught us how to prepare clay for the wheel, how to position on the wheel, how to shape the clay and how to take it off (takes days after to dry and kiln but she offers you to take your raw clay product home if you want). The studio was well signposted, easy to find. Was a perfect break from sightseeing.

      Total Fun!
Pottery is surely a stress buster.. an art which brings out your creativity. It was such an enjoyable experience for us, we learnt, laughed, got refreshed completely. If one wants to get completely engaged for sometime in an activity after which you feel so positive and relaxed this thing is for you. Moreover our instructor was so motivating and charming, time just flew while having so much fun. Totally recommended if you visit jaipur. 😊

Egoistic person, thinks too much of herself. We called her to enquire about the classes, she rudely said, "Don't ask so many questions, it's just a 1 hour activity, you are not paying for a 9 day course and then she hung up. Not Recommened!

Not at all interactive.. First we got a very short introduction. After that, we were more or less on our own. We also did not make anything ourselves. Would not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback! Workshop is schedule is for 1.5hrs only and during that time we explain the process in detail and help tourist to create pots and once workshop hrs are completed and still travelers wants to spend more time on wheel, we let them do it on there own. You spent more than 2.5 hrs in the studio and created unlimited pieces.

We had such a great time with our two boys at the ClayBotik.
Deeksha (the owner) has explained us what to do with the clay, told us about the pottery making and we could make our own clay pots, bowls, plates on the wheel which was so much fun and the boys also had a chance to paint some pottery.
Its a great experience not to miss when in Jaipur!!!

I recently booked 4 sessions for my family of two adults and two children (boys aged 9 and 11). We completed the sessions over a week. It was a wonderful experience. The studio is very pretty, painted beautifully, and well-stocked with pottery pieces that Deeksha and her team have made themselves. The sessions had a lovely vibe, with nice music, fun conversation between all of us and a very engaged instructor, who was Deeksha herself. The goal of these sessions is not so much to teach/learn pottery in a formal way, but rather, to create a wonderful experience of hands-on activity that beats stress and creates a lot of positive energy for the participants. My husband and my boys really enjoyed taking a break from our busy and overly scheduled lives, to just do something creative together and also for ourselves. Deeksha made the whole experience really pleasant. She was flexible about scheduling sessions and even allowed us to change our timings when we could not make one of the times. She encouraged everyone to take risks and not worry about messing anything up. She was able to work with the kids and the adults on separate projects in the same space - impressive! She encouraged each of us to work together but also unleash our own creativity and not worry about what it looks like to someone else! From these sessions, I walked away calm, happy and with a greater appreciation of my family members talents as well as my own! Pottery takes time to fire up, so we did not immediately get all our pieces. But I am happy to wait on that -- the process was totally fun that the end product will just be a bonus and I am in no hurry to get them!

The teacher seemed a little bored with our presence and we’re very good at teaching or explaining how to do pottery. No introduction at the start. For the price I don’t think the course I worth it.

Hello Laurids, We are deeply regretted for the inconvenience you have faced, you had a major issue regarding the price of the workshop, which was already communicated to you at the time of booking only that we do not offer any discount, as the money we take goes to the artist and secondly as you had mentioned that you know pottery and needed help in finishing the pots, that part was much concentrated for you and much brief was given to your partner because she was novice at pottery. Hope all your concerns are taken care of. Thank you
