We had a truly memorable tour with our guide, Abhishek. We got to know more about the life and work in the slum and the experience changed how we'll see slums in the future.

The tour was amazing! They are very professional and caring for the local people. I had a local gay from Dharavi and another local from Dhobi Gut. They really explain and show you everything and do it with a lot of dignity and care for both the local people and the guest. I usually want to explore on my own and avoid guided tours, but I have to admit that without their amazing guides (I am terrible with names :( ) I wouldn't be able to know nothing about this amazing places. Highly recommending! 🙏

An excellent, well informed and friendly team that made my and my friend’s experience of Mumbai delightful and exciting. They took absolutely great care of our needs having fun with our constant debates during our travel. Abishek as our coordinator to Elephanta caves tour was so humble and understanding of our delays, and had great insight on Mumbai life and best Vada Pav. He was such a fun to be with. The native guide’s tour of the Elephanta caves was so thorough and inclusive of excellent camera angles. City tour converted to heritage tour with Masters student in tourism, Sanika was once again such an educational and fun filled experience. Shared Gandhian experience in Mani Bhavan was the highlight. Food tour with Rakesh was an absolute must exploring some of the best street food of Mumbai, cutting chai and the oldest ice cream shop selling hand made ice cream. Finally a trip to Lonovala with the driven Pavan was quite comfortable, and he was kind enough to accommodate our travel needs showing us the best sites including historical Karla caves. Overall, it was such a great experience of Mumbai with Mumbai Dreams team.

First: We did the morning tour with Abi, who was the best tour guide we could’ve wished for! Abi, living in the Slum himself, guided us very friendly, prompt and safe through the slum and gave so many information, we were extremely happy about. That lead to us asking a lot of questions as well so we had a constant talk with him. Second: The slum itself is something Europeans are not used to: a maze with narrow alleys, hardly an infrastructure, tiny factories & flats (if at all) and yes also VERY hardworking and VERY friendly people working under the worst working conditions, but still keeping a smile on their face and still GIVING back. Third: I urge everyone to go there! You have to experience it to understand what is talked about when (European) media speak about “slums”. After that, don’t plan a lot. We needed time to digest and talk about all impressions we saw as a family.

Our tour guide Abhishek was amazing with superb knowledge, the tour gets under the skin of real Mumbai, a must do for anyone visiting 😊

A tour with Sanika as our guide was a great choice. She has a lot of historical knowledge and is open to questions. She is a wonderful empathetic person who combines a passion for storytelling with a love for India. It was great to listen during a few hours of the tour about how Mumbai developed historically. We were visiting Mumbai and had only 1 day to do a tour of South Mumbai. We took the tour with Ketan who was a terrific tour guide. His English was outstanding and his knowledge of the area very detailed. We saw all the highlights and got great pictures as well. In addition, he brought us to a local tea shop as I was looking for a gift for a local colleague and it was spot on. He also gave us good recommendations for lunch and chai. We were very happy with the tour!

Despite having lived in Bombay most of my life, I am unfortunately not very well-versed with it's history. I opted for this tour along with my husband and 12 year old son to understand more about the heritage of one of my favourite areas in the city i.e. Bandra. It was a great experience. Sanika, our guide, did a remarkable job of explaining the history of Bandra and told us lots of trivia about the area. She patiently answered questions, guided us through the bylanes of Bandra and took pictures whenever wé requested. My son, who was not interested in joining at all since he presumed it would be boring, had a really great time. He is in fact,looking forward to joining in for more such tours, as am I.

This tour was very interesting! The tourguide was from Dharavi himself so he could tell me everything about it. We started with meeting the dabbawalla’s and then proceeded to the Dhobi Ghat. He arranged a personal guide that lives in the Dhobi ghat so I could see everything! After we moved to Dharavi by train. The tour was very informative and well organised. We finished with a lunch at his house in Dharavi which was cooked by his mother. I had a lovely day and i would recommend this tour to everyone!
