Expert local guide took me to places you would never be able to access without. Saw sights that will stay with me for a lifetime, very highly recommended. Booked with less than 24 hours notice and the whole process worked seamlessly. The duration of the tour varies massively due to the traffic conditions in Mumbai. Recommend going on a Sunday as it’s the quietest day of the week.

My tour was super fun. The driver was at my hotel (which was out of the city limit so I had to pay a little extra for my pickup) 30 before the departure time. His car was clean and really made me feel comfortable which was important to me because I am solo female traveler. We had to wait one hour at the meet up point (but the driver was nice enough to show me some local destinations), for the remaining members of the group but that wasn’t the companies fault, even though I felt I could have gone alone since mine was a private tour. But I am glad I got to meet the rest of the tour and we even exchanged contacts to keep in touch. The host on elephant island Dave was super polite and answered all my questions and told me so much about the island and Hindu religion . He also took his time to share a lot about their community. He is also a great photographer and took his time to take pictures and they were all great. The host for my Mumbai tour Maze was also a great conversationalist . He answers all my questions and told me so much about the city. He indulged my request to see the Ambani house. I also got at additional tour guide at the laundry factor, and he was a local who knew a lot about the area. All in all I would definitely recommend for solo traveler and groups.

We met our initial guide easily and were directed onto the boat. The outgoing boat trip took about an hour. We sat on the top for some great views. We were met by our guide for the caves who took us on the mini train. Be aware that there are still around 120 steps but our guide checked several times if we needed to stop. The guide was very knowledgeable about the caves and the religious significance of the sculptures but less so about the history of the caves themselves. There are a lot of souvenir stalls and also restaurants but we needed to get back for our return boat so did not stop to look at these. On the return boat trip they wanted to charge us extra to sit on top! We actually found that sitting on the bottom was better due to less sun and a more refreshing breeze.

I’ve just completed a city tour with Surrendra who was my driver guide. It has been incredible and Surrendra kept me informed so I knew exactly what I was looking at. An amazing city with so much to see and this was the ideal way to see so much in a short space of time.

Our guide Krupesh was excellent, native to the island and therefore very knowledgable about the caves themselves and the community that live there. Booked a group tour but ended up being just us which was lovely. Very punctual with meeting point time and assisted us with getting the boat across, giving us the option of the land train or walking route from the boat drop off. So you wouldn’t have to walk too much if you didn’t want to. Only criticism would be that food was not included but due to the timings of the tour being 10:30-14:30 and very hot temperature, we didn’t feel we needed food. Overall amazing tour and would recommend. Krupesh was brilliant!

We loved this look at the real side of Mumbai. Ganesh was a fantastic guide with a cheeky sense of humour! Loads of interesting facts and very respectful of the communities that he showed us. I’d definitely recommend this fascinating tour to anyone. (My husband was worried he might have to walk ‘too far’ but the use of local buses and trains meant that wasn’t the case). Thanks Ganesh!

As a crewmember with a large international airline, I'm fortunate to see quite a bit of the world on my company's nickel. With a day layover in Mumbai there was just time for a quick whirlwind tour of the city. I booked the tour just two hours before and somehow a guide and driver was expertly arranged! I was expecting the standard tick-the-box guided tour but was delighted by the service given by our guide Mr. Ganesh who was entertaining, well informed and spoke perfect English. At the same time, our driver, Mr. Mujib expertly navigated the infamously chaotic city traffic. Our short 6 hour tour was expertly managed and we never felt rushed or unable to enjoy the scene!

Guide was really informative and as he lived in the slums he was the perfect person to give a true insight to life in this part of Mumbai. Great tour finishing with chai after lots of walking.

We had a private programme with Hareshbasbour guide. He met us at the meeting points on time and accompany along the boat through the caves. He explained and told us many stories about the cave and Hindu believe regards Shiva. It was very interesting and enjoyable through the programme.

Many thanks to my tour guide and driver for showing me the beautiful sights of Mumbai, and what the city has to offer! No rush, and polite people who helped me understand the history and culture of the city. Highly recommend taking this tour for people who are first timers to the city.
