We met Lijo by booking on the Jewish heritage tour. He immediately made contact with us to clarify details. Through him we also booked the Alleppy backwaters trip as well as a visit to a village and the narrow canal. Lijo is very efficient and was an excellent personal guide on the synagogue tour. His driver Romi was first class. he is polite, knowledgeable and a very safe driver. Lijo is a good man to go to first!!

The tour in Cochin India was great. It included a harbor cruise, high tea at a nice hotel, and many of the main sites in Cochin. Any tour from this company is wonderful! This company goes above and beyond to provide the best customer experience.

We opted to take the private tours of Mumbai and Kochi with our group of 6. Much more reasonable than ship's excursion and you get to see the sights more leisurely and in depth. Everything was well organized and Lijo personally met us at each port and on departure of our last tour in Kochi. Our communications with him were always replied to promptly. The vans that were supplied were very comfortable and water was always available. Highly recommended.

He stayed with us the entire time from Mumbai all the way to New Delhi. I want to Thank Lijo and his team for the best experience we could ever imagine. Our tour guide Indu Singh was amazing. Kind, knowledgeable, well spoken and thoughtful. Always making sure we all saw everything possible. From the Taj Mahal at sunrise to palaces local restaurants. Our bus was clean and accommodations in both Agra and Delhi were top notch. I highly recommend this tour and tour company. I can not say enough about what an amazing experience it was.

We actually took five different tours with this company. Two in Cochin , one in Goa and two in Mumbai. The owner of the company, Lijo, was a dream to work with. He was somehow always reachable by text, phone or in person. All of our guides were knowledgeable in their area of expertise and interesting. We would unquestionably recommend all of his tours. Finally, Lijo helped us with a miraculous “save” of a bag that we left on our last tour bus that dropped us at the Taj Palace. He stayed on the case, found the bag and got it back to us.

This was an outstanding tour of Kochi and Kerala’s Jewish Heritage . We covered so much history from Synagogues to Cemeteries and from Spice markets to dining on the freshest and tastiest fish .We enjoyed home hospitality and had cooking lessons that span traditions and tastes . We heard music and watched classical dancing . We were met at the airport and delivered to destination in supreme comfort . We were never rushed and nothing was too much to ask . Lijo's tour is worth the money, with him providing a truly unique experience. While most tours in Kochi visit Jew Town and the Paradesi Synagogue, Lijo brought me to several different synagogues in the greater region and introduced me to the people who have taken up their maintenance and upkeep, including some of the very last practicing Jews in Kerala. His knowledge about modern Judaism as well as the historic waves of Jewish immigration that brought Jews to the Kochi area were deeply impressive and I unquestionably walked away with new knowledge I hadn't even known I didn't know. He hit a few extra stops as well, regularly offered stops for food/drinks, and shared the history of his family and the region. I will never forget this tour.

I went on tours of Mumbai and Cochin with Muziris Heritage Travel in India. They were both wonderful experiences and Lijo Jose was most helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this company when traveling in India.

Mumbai as a Local. Had a really interesting and informative trip around a sticky Mumbai. Mr Vinodh took us where all the clothes washing takes place - viewing platform makes this quite a spectacle if you think this doesn't sound interesting. The Victoria Train Station - a world heritage sight - a Krishna Temple where we were welcomed with our cameras and Gateway Of India as well as the tiffin men who deliver food to the workers, the organisation needed to achieve collection from your home and take it to work was most impressive no such a scale. Plenty to see, loads of information. Oh, and we even took a train ride (where just a little exposure to the chaos of living there was observed although I'm grateful that we travelled off peak and so anyone with basic mobility could take this tour - no need for great speed or agility. With this and a trip around the markets of Mumbai the previous evening, I feel happy that we got a good idea of Mumbai. Even enjoyed a lovely beer with a mixed chicken platter at one of the cafés near to the Gateway of India. I'd highly recommend this company to any visitors to Mumbai. 😊

The tour operator Lijo and our tour guide Indu were top notch. The tours were informative and moved like smooth clockwork. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Even the Bus driver and tour helpers were all so friendly and attentive.

Lijo is an amazing tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and well-prepared. He clearly has a deep understanding of history and loves to share it, making the tour come alive. The tour was a great mix of historic sights and experiences, visiting places, people, riding on a ferry and tuk tuk, etc. The tour with Lijo was very comprehensive-he covered Cochin and surroundings extensively. Lijo also wants to make sure that we are taken care of, not only during the tour but also in general. For example, prior to arrival in India, he checked that we had our visas and also offered to help us arrange dinner. In addition, he made sure we had a comfortable and spacious vehicle for travel and a lunch restaurant with multiple menu options. He is very thoughtful as well - had we wanted, he would have modified the tour for us when our son became tired. I highly recommend touring with Lijo, his tour was a real highlight of our trip! Do not bother looking at other tour options, just select Lijo and know you have made the right choice.

We visited the Guruvayur temple, the temple elephant sanctuary and Chennai beach for a swim and meal overlooking the sunset over the sea. Overall we rated this tour as excellent because the Guide Shajasp was highly knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his Hindu dharma with us. We also got to meet and chat with some Hindus at the temple. Our driver was Romy who is Christian. Both of them were really kind, helpful and good company throughout the day. However, don’t choose this trip if you want to see elephants in their natural surroundings. The elephants were well cared for with food and branches to play with and their areas were kept very clean. We also saw them being bathed and cared for when sick. However they were all chained when not being bathed or involved in religious ceremonies which made us feel sad for them.

Outstanding! Jose the guide took me around in the aircon car and we got to see 4 synagogues and Jew Town. His knowledge is incredible and appreciated all the care and attention he gave and the respect for the buildings and tradition. Thank you Jose.
