About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Dreamer269333215130 contributionsEnjoyful business trip to MumbaiOur company, the Russian Valve Association, contacted RTT to help us organize a business trip to Mumbai. We were together with the guys from September 16th to 21st. And it was just amazing! Thanks to the efforts of Krishna and his team, we all have only the most positive impressions. It is not often possible to find such a travel agency that could implement any wish in the shortest possible time and was always ready to help. We didn't worry about anything and completely trusted the experience of Krishna's team. Hotel, transfer, interpreters, meals, etc.: the travel agency coped with all the tasks perfectly. We really enjoyed working with Reality tours and travel, and we really hope that we will have another chance to use their services soon!Written September 23, 2024
- lisanmnelliott0 contributionsGreat street food tourFantastic street food tour with Raj. Make sure you are hungry as there is a huge amount of food. Not only was the food superb but we were completely immersed in the environment too. Be prepared for delicious food, bustling streets and information surrounding the food and its origins. Great tour… don’t miss out!Written September 16, 2024
- estherlg10 contributionsExcellent and informative tourReally cool tour! Our guide was excellent - he grew up in the area himself and was able to answer all of our questions. He actually learnt English through the Reality Gives NGO, and his English was fantastic. We learnt about the many different types of industry that operate in the area, as well as the work being done by the Reality Gives NGO. We were a bit hesitant about the ethics of a 'slum tour' but this was a great experience that focussed on the resourcefulness of the people and the long-established local culture; many residents could afford to live elsewhere but choose to stay in their communities. Would highly recommend.Written September 5, 2024
- Megamart700 contributionsFascinating and educationalThis tour is fascinating and educational. We learnt so much from our guide Chetan about the workings of Dhavari and daily life for the people who live there. Chetan was great company and we learnt a lot from him. We saw different parts of Dhavari, from recycling, production of clothes, fabrics, pottery and schools for the kids. Highly recommended.Written September 5, 2024
- tonyw2090 contributionsDon't hesitate to take this tour!We had a wonderful experience on the Mumbai Street Food Tour. Our guide Raj was knowledgeable about the foods of Mumbai and taught us a lot about Indian history too. He was super friendly and spoke excellent English. The food on the tour was varied and delicious! There's just no way we'd have found all of these dishes on our own. Two things I think the tour listing doesn't mention that added to our overall enjoyment of the tour 1. You'll eat around 15 dishes! The food offering is MUCH more comprehensive than the listing describes: snacks, drinks, vegetarian and meat dishes, and dessert too. 2. The tour is organized by Reality Gives, a non-profit which trains underprivileged local people to become tour guides, so by taking the tour you're enabling a program that makes a genuine difference to the life of a Mumbai resident.Written August 6, 2024
- Ste D0 contributionsGreat Tour with a Great GuideReally enjoyable tour, a nice mix of food types sampled throughout a few different areas. The travel between areas was a nice way to break up the eating! Javed was a great guide, providing really insightful information about the different areas and foods, whilst also being a really nice friendly guy.Written May 26, 2024

- jimwT2694QZ0 contributionsReality Tours & Travel - THE company to use for holidaying in IndiaMy wife and I recently returned to the UK from our holiday in India – where we used the services of Reality Tours & Travel. And I am writing to sing their praises! This is the second time we have used Reality Tours & Travel – we had a day tour with them in Mumbai in 2023. This time we used Reality to help us book a Delhi-Rajasthan road trip. They were fantastic in every respect. In advance of our holiday, they tailored their schedule to suit ours, and ensured we had all the information we needed. My wife and I had a personalised tour and we were accompanied by a Reality Rep and driver whenever we required them over the course of 11 days. Naresh, our Reality rep, was the perfect guide, ensuring we wanted for nothing, and that all of our needs were met. He also had a series of fantastic drivers to make our journey very comfortable. If you are thinking of holidaying in India – use Reality Tours & Travel.Written April 21, 2024
- Q8032SZnadineg0 contributionsPerfect customized tour with Reality Tours & Travel - highly recommended for female travellersAfter learning that Reality Tours & Travel also offers multi-day trips, I got in touch with them to arrange a trip for a private extension of my upcoming business trip. Krishna and Shravan were incredibly patient in working with me in spite of duration and exact timing of my trip changing multiple times in the planning phase and kindly accommodated to my wishes regarding the customized itinerary, consisting of the Mumbai Slum & Night Tour, Ajanta & Ellora Caves, Golden Triangle & Rajasthan and Delhi sightseeing. As a first timer in India and female solo traveller, safety was paramount to me and Reality Tours and Travel kindly arranged everything from the pick-up at the airport upon arrival until the drop-off at departure. My fantastic guides Chetan (for Mumbai & Maharashtra) and Sourav (for Delhi, Golden Triangle & Rajasthan) always made sure I felt safe and comfortable. They shielded me from any unwanted attention, yet provided me with the opportunity to interact with locals. As both of them speak excellent English, I learned a lot about the places we visited as well as about India in general and daily life there. They went above and beyond to make my trip the best one I could have possibly had, were very approachable, well-organized and punctual and took me to places that locals would frequent. At local monuments that required additional designated guides, they made sure to find an experienced guide with suitable language skills. Chetan and Sourav were always available in case I needed any assistance and flexibly adjusted our agenda to give me the time I wanted to spend at each sight or to add Chai or souvenir shopping breaks. I could not have been happier with my trip and plan on booking with Reality Tours and Travels again.Written April 18, 2024
- J74SPvictoriap0 contributionsFantastic custom dawn market and temple tourA lovely experience! We were able to amend our itinerary and skip out some of the locations we had already been to which enabled us more times in the market and temple . The vegetable and flower market were very interesting ( wear good footwear and avoid the squidgy bits) So many positive smells and colours , hustle and bustle , and customers just getting on with their morning routine . So glad that we went ! The temple was beautiful, very interesting to see prayer and the privilege to be in the same room was fascinating. Would recommend asking for an itinerary before you depart so you can knock off the places you’ve been to so you can throughly enjoy the market . Our lovely guide also took us for a lovely chai , which was great to drink on the street with the locals! Our guide was fantastic, Nano , and our driver - who didn’t speak much English but far better than any other language that I can speak for sure ! Just a really great day !Written April 17, 2024
- D692HRdaniell0 contributionsAn exceptional tour companyThis is an exceptional tour company. Their communication before the tour was swift and comprehensive - including a precise photo guide for how to find the meeting place. The guide, Shifa, was friendly and engaging, sharing her knowledge and experience of life in Dharavi with great cheer and skill. She also accompanied a few of us to a nearby station in a taxi to ensure we got on the train back into town.Written April 15, 2024
- Essephreak0 contributionsGreat tour - I wish they'd reconsider their policy re photosAn excellent, informative, enlightening tour which certainly included areas you could not otherwise easily see. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The organization does good things. Strongly recommend. And I know that these folks have though a lot more about this than I have, but my one issue is the blanket prohibition on photography. Of course one needs to be careful and respectful when photographing *anywhere* or *anyone* in public. But the tour major streets with street-side businesses not too different from elsewhere in Mumbai and the rest of India, as well as "industrial" zones (plastic recycling, leather works, pottery), where it's difficult to see how photographs of non-human subjects would cause much harm. Residential zones, of course are more sensitive, and I can understand the overriding need for privacy there. Again, I'm sure Reality Tours has thought this through in a lot more depth than I have, but maybe this will give some food for thought. Or, at minimum, they might consider enhancing the collection of photos that they provide online for their customers. That collection has a number of portraits, but very few photos of the physical environment, the industries, the architecture, etc. Anyway, again, I highly recommend this tour!Written April 14, 2024
- 440finlayw0 contributionsRajesthan - stopping in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi! We have had an extraordinary time on our tour of Rajesthan - stopping in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi! Mr Hemraj has been a great driver/guide along the way, always on time, always open to taking us to the best spots and providing us with top hospitality along the way! He always checks in on us during the long drives and drives well even in rush hour! He’s a safe pair of hands among tuk tuk drivers, motorbikes and cows on the roads. His passion for Rajasthan's heritage, coupled with his warmth and hospitality, elevated our journey beyond our expectations. His deep-rooted knowledge and genuine love for his homeland infused each moment with authenticity and wonder, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Mr Henraj :)Written April 13, 2024

We both loved this bike tour - cycling on the roads did get a little full on as we got later in the morning, but our guide Nano was brilliant! He was very knowledgeable and spoke amazing English, including a good sense of humour too. We learnt so much about Mumbai on the tour and about life in the city too, which we’ve really appreciated. Rishi was great too: My bike got a puncture, but he immediately swapped and sorted it out.
The dosa for breakfast was also a great way to finish!
Bikes and helmets weren’t in amazing condition, but that only really added to the experience - would definitely recommend this tour to anyone comfortable cycling on roads.

Incredible way to experience the real Mumbai. You will cycle with two locals throughout the main landmarks and amongst the city streets. Keep in mind this city is chaotic and you need to be aware of your surroundings! Highly recommended if you are an active person.

We had a great couple of hours exploring the city. Our 2 guides were both helpful and friendly. In particular, we were both impressed by the steps that they took to ensure our safety.
One thing I would say is that I would not recommend this if you are not at least a semi comfortable cyclist. In particular, if you have some experience of biking in a city with traffic.

Look no further… this was the best tour we had in Mumbai! Javed and Hitesh were our tour guides and they were amazing. They made sure we were safe throughout the tour and provided us with the best information about the city. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with our questions. We were able to see the pre-dawn magic of Mumbai while getting a fun bike ride out of it. Places we saw included: The Gateway of India, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Mandai, best masala chai vendor, flower market, cow shelter, Marine Drive, and the Sassoon Docks. They also provided us a great breakfast after the tour and recommended other places to visit during our time in Mumbai. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guides!

This was done early morning before the traffic got too crazy. We were lucky to have light drizzle to keep us cool at the beginning .
Our tour guide nashe was awesome, loved that Raoul the second guide biked
behind us keeping us safe from traffic.
This company, some profits go to a charity which is amazing as well as our guides who have great english .
The only thing I was worried about was the state of the bike helmets..were definitely not up to standard.
My suggestion is BRING an old one from home, and donate it to the company for use after your tour.
This would help so much as they only get what the bike hire people give them.
Otherwise it was an excellent adventure.....

On the bikes at dawn, at which time the streets are calm. Visit many key points as the city stirs. Guides wonderful, knowledgeable, with a safety emphasis .
The morning is capped off with a fine breakfast, allowing one to share stories and travel intelligence with fellow riders .
This is a fine value; I don’t think there is a better experience to introduce Mumbai to the maiden visitor.

An early start for this tour but you will appreciate the less traffic around when you are on a bike. The tour is about 15kms but it’s flat and you stop often. My wife and I are over sixty and NOT fitness fanatic and we found bike ride fine. Reality tours are excellent in everything they do with part of the tour costs going back to the local community.

I am a solo traveler wanna join the tour but refused by system showing that "this activity requires between 2 and 9 adults." Would you pls tell me how to do?

I received the same warning from the system, send them an email and was eventually the only guest on this very nice tour.

I’d like to bring my 9 year old and my 12 year old who are avid cyclists. Are you able to arrange for 4 or us? 2 adults and 2 kids?

Can I do this tour with young children aged 1, 5 and 7
