Three weeks in three of India's most iconic national parks
We have just returned from a memorable 3-week trip in India organised through Nature Safari India/Tiger Safari India. Initial and extremely helpful advice from Sharad Vats allowed us to plan a trip that concentrated very much on the wildlife of three of India's amazing national parks: Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Jim Corbett, and to see a great deal of the country as we made our way around. A few days in Dubai were a great way to adjust to warmer climes and time difference and we then continued to Delhi. Here we were met by Abhishek Kumar, the Tours Manager, who looked after us right through our trip, making sure everything ran smoothly and keeping us well-informed about all the travel and accommodation details. His face became a very welcome and friendly sight at every airport or new hotel - we knew we were in the right place if Abhishek was there! Accommodation at both of the two Delhi Oberoi hotels was fabulous (we came back to Delhi later for transfers), and a day out with history buff tour guide Sanjeev gave us a great overview of Delhi. We continued on to our first National Park in Madhya Pradesh and stayed at the very welcoming and comfortable Banjaar Tola lodge on the river. Food and staff both excellent and the lodge is very handily located close to the Mukki Gate. We were lucky with our first-rate tour guide Sangita Mani and local guide Dhaniram who made every square foot of the forest an amazing experience. We had some spectacular tiger sightings, including one where it was just our jeep and the quiet of the forest for many minutes as a young tiger walked by us and out into the landscape. Memorable. Then on to Bandhavgarh. We stayed at Samode, a very luxurious experience with our own beautiful villa and an excellent communal swimming pool. Food was delicious and the staff very welcoming. This lodge is a little further from the park gates, so a slightly earlier rise was necessary before the drive to the gates. The guides at Bandhavgarh are more tiger-targeted than at Kanha and although we concentrated less on the other aspects of this park, we went full-on for tiger spotting and were lucky enough to have several wonderful sightings including the famed Chhota Bheem, a massive young tiger, and two leopards. Then onwards out of Madhya Pradesh and northwards to Uttarakhand and the famous Jim Corbett National Park, the first National Park in India and recognised for its high number of Bengal tigers. At this point I must mention our brilliant driver Parveen who drove us safely for many hours through the intricate traffic patterns of the Indian roads, cheerfully and skilfully navigating city car and bike jams, rural cow, dog and chicken jams and everything in between. His good humour was unfailing. Sharad Vats had advised us that the best place to stay is actually in the park itself at the Dhikala Forest Rest House, which gets you exactly where you want to be without the long drive in and out each day. Our room at Dhikala was in a small block of three double rooms and had its own shower and loo. It is fairly basic with no heating in the winter but perfectly adequate. You turn the geyser on in the bathroom and the water gets hot fairly fast. We were there in February and I was very glad of my hot water bottle and extra blanket at night- as well as hoodies, socks and woolly hats to sleep in. Three excellent meals a day are provided at the canteen - all freshly made Indian vegetarian food, which we enjoyed immensely. No alcohol allowed! Corbett is a beautiful park with vast river beds, thick forests and views of the distant Himalayan foothills. We had fabulous sightings of tigers, tiger cubs, wild elephants and some of the many amazing bird species of India. We had a last few days at Jim's Jungle Retreat, a beautiful 15 acre oasis of rewilded land and its own kitchen garden and really wonderful food. A great safari with Neil and amazing elephant and vulture sightings. We couldn't really believe we had only been away three weeks - we had managed to pack in so many safaris - about 12 days worth of them - and seen many incredible animals and birds. With Nature Safari's help we had seasoned this with a few days to have a lie and relax so that the pace was just right. Overall a fantastic trip: we would highly recommend this company and its in-depth local knowledge and its ability to secure the all-important national park permits.

      Superb Safari Experience
The unanimously excellent reviews on TA proved to be a genuine reflection of our superb experience. We chose the company having sought proposals from several others based both in the UK (big brands) and India. The speed of response to emails from Tiger Safari India, their helpful and detailed critiques of various tiger reserves and the value for money price, made them our clear favoured choice. We made the right decision. We visited Jim Corbett, Bandhavgarh and Kanha ending with a few days on the beach in Goa. The logistics were quite complex including long road trips and internal flights but all worked perfectly. Our accommodation, food and hospitality were top class - or in the case of Dhikala the best available and best located. The safaris in the reserves fulfilled our desire to see tigers (10 good sightings in all), plus a profusion of tropical birds, a leopard and countless monkeys, elephants, deer, wild boar and various other species. The guides were all knowledgable, fluent in English, keen to maximise our sightings and optimise our experience. We have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Tiger Safari India.

      Great Tiger Safari in India
Smooth trip, well looked after by local staff. From arriving in the airport to being transferred to the Jungle and back to visit the historical/heritage sites in India - everything was streamlined and we were ferried everywhere with ease. Nature Safari only engages extremely experienced naturalist with tiger spotting which significantly increases chances of tiger spotting - at times we were the only ones around when the tiger was walking on the road! In terms of cultural and heritage sites, the driver and guides were all very flexible and the trips can be tailored to your liking!

      Jim Corbett safaris
We contacted Deep to plan our safari to Jim Corbett National Park where I had been 45 years ago when safari’s were on elephant. He made excellent recommendations to stay at Dhikala inside the park and also a more luxury hotel for 3 other safari’s in different areas of the park. We were picked up in Delhi early morning and arrived at camp for the afternoon safari. The rest house is comfortable with excellent fresh vegetarian meals. Prakash our guide and driver Bobby were very knowledgeable and on each safari we saw up close Tigress Pedwali, elephants , deer and so much bird life. Our hotel near Dhikuli , Riverview Retreat fronted the Kosi river and was very relaxing. Room was large and well appointed and food was very nice.

      Flawless Once Again
This was our fourth trip with Nature Safari India and once again it was flawless. Sharad and Abhishek do a great job in making sure every detail is covered and nothing is left to chance. This time, in late January, we visited Tadoba and Pench National Parks for the first time and things could not have gone better. We stayed in the Jungle Camps at both places and both met or exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the "luxury safari tent" at Pench would make the best mobile African safari "tents" look pedestrian. Of course, it is a permanent structure, but still, very cool! Our naturalists were excellent and the sightings were exceptional. Everything from airport pickups, to accommodations, to food, to guides and experience was outstanding. If I were looking to do a trip like this for the first time, I would look no further than Sharad and his team at Nature Safari India. Highly recommended.

Luxury Central India Safari - Unforgettable experience!
Wow where do we begin… the most incredible and unforgettable 2 week safari experience with Nature Safari India! From our very first correspondence on email we were met with the highest level of customer service and help with putting our trip together. Sharad and Abhishek went absolutely above and beyond to make sure everything was organised perfectly down to the finest detail. And that’s what stood out about this experience, the details. Everything was so well thought out and planned to the tee for what we wanted to get out of the trip. We started with a day tour in Delhi then covered 4 national parks in Central India; Pench, Khana, Banhavgah and Panna. These parks took our breath away. We were lucky enough to have some close up 1 on 1 wildlife encounters that far exceeded any of our expectations. We had 14 individual tiger interactions, saw 3 leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, an abundance of birdlife and so much more. The naturalists were absolutely amazing, so knowledgeable and informative about not only the wildlife but the conservation efforts and community engagement for the parks we were visiting. They would try and stay away from the crowds of vehicles and instead would make sure we had the most intimate wildlife encounters we could. We had a few days at each park so it was beautiful to really get to know our guides more personally and build those relationships. A special shoutout to Sunjay Gupta who was our naturalist at Banhavgah. He invited us to his home for the Diwali Festival to meet his family and understand how they celebrate this holy festival. Such a beautiful memory for us. Every accomodation we stayed at was absolutely gorgeous and so unique!! All centred around ecotourism and minimal environment impact which we loved. Each place was special in its own way and the staff all went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. The food throughout the whole trip was out of this world. We have not eaten that well in our lives!! The highest quality fresh authentic Indian cuisine. We were in heaven. In summary we simply could not say a bad work about our trip to India. It holds a very special place in our hearts and we thank everyone at Nature Safari India for making our time there so incredible. We will most definitely be back!

      Breathtaking!
I had a fabulous time!! From the first interaction with the firm when I spoke to Sharad Vats...through to the end when Abhishek dropped me back at the airport in Delhi, everything was perfectly arranged. All the staff are terrific and well informed and courteous and helpful. The tour was exactly as I'd hoped. We went to Bandavgarh, and saw a tiger and leopard cubs. Our guide Sanjay Gupta was so knowledgeable, and worked very hard to get us sightings. He also pointed out all the other wildlife and birds with his very keen eyes. The accommodations at BandaVilas were very comfortable and the lodge staff were all anxious to be helpful. We then went to Panna Tiger Reserve, where our guide was Khadir Khan at the Ken River Lodge. He was also tremendously knowledgeable, friendly, and worked very hard to get us the most terrific sighting of a gorgeous male tiger! I miss these guides so much now that I'm back in the US. The days we spend in Khajuraho and Orchha were fascinating as we learned about the Hindu temples and looked at the intricate carvings. And Agra was great: the Taj Mahal was spectacular at sunset! Again, the guides in each place were well informed, eager to impart their knowledge, and very helpful in every way. A special mention for Ishana, who was always available if I had questions. Honestly, I hated to leave this trip to go home...and I'm already trying to plan to return. I recommend Sharad and his team wholeheartedly! Marcia

      A Wonderful Trip to India
We had one of the most wonderful, memorable trips of our lives thanks to Sharad and his team at Nature Safari India. From beginning to end, we could not have asked for better travel planners. Our main mission was to spot tigers in the wild while also experiencing some of the culture and history of India. Sharad provided invaluable suggestions about where to go and what to do, and went through multiple iterations of an itinerary that was ultimately tailored entirely to our preferences. We had to rebook a couple of times due to Covid and other circumstances, and Sharad could not have been more patient or accommodating. On the ground, he and his staff were amazing. Sharad provided highly skilled drivers and experienced guides, and he or one of his teams members checked in with us often to make sure that we we were happy with our trip. We always knew that we were in good hands. The hotels and lodges were uniformly wonderful. Perhaps most importantly, at least for us, we spotted tigers on several occasions, including one time where a large male walked right behind our safari jeep. In short, if you are planning a trip to India, Sharad and his colleagues are an exceptionally good choice to help in your planning. If we are lucky enough to return to India, I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Amazingly well-organized trip with many outstanding sights
First, we found Nature Safari India through a web search when we got interested in a nature tour in India. We contacted them to get an offer for a birding trip, which we received in a very short time. Since we live in Germany, we haven’t had any experience with an Indian travel provider before. However, the professional and polite communication and the very detailed and transparent offer convinced us. So, we booked a birding and tiger trip to Satpura, Pench and Kanha. It turned out to be the right decision, and we enjoyed a great and amazingly well-organized trip. When we arrived at the airport or were changing locations the shuttle was always ready in time, so we could fully rely on the organization. Even short term modifications that we have requested were organized seamlessly. We had very nice lodges with highly motivated staff and enjoyed great food. Our naturalist guides were very knowledgeable and showed us a wide variety of bird species, tigers, and many other mammals. We also saw several butterflies, other insects, and spiders. All in all, Nature Safari India did a great job to make our stay in India a great experience, from the moment we arrived at the airport until we returned there to catch our flight home. We can definitely recommend them without any hesitation and will travel with them again when we come to India next time.

Superb safari experience with the best tour operator imaginable
We had a truly fantastic experience on our trip which was neatly organized into the smallest detail. We had great stays in lovely lodges in Tadoba, Pench, Kanha and Sundarbans during our 2-wk tour. From the drivers hired for transports between the destinations, over the naturalist accompanying our safaris to the staff during accommodation- everything was perfect and we're so happy that we went with Nature Safari as they provided a world-class holiday and top-notch customer care. Sharad, Deepkul and Abhishek were speedy in their replies, very helpful and checked in several times about how it's going. We can highly recommend booking with them, worth every penny!

      Tigers are Wildlife Safari India
From my first enquiry with Nature Safari India, through the booking process, meeting arrangements and the Safari’s in Kanha and Bangavahr the procedure could not be bettered. I travel regularly, up to 8 times a year with Wildlife Companies and Wildlife Safari India are by far the best I have ever dealt with. Hotels and Safari Guides were excellent just wished the Company did World Birding Tours. And those 6 Tigers and the friends I made will remain a lifetime memory

Beyond Expectations! An amazing wildlife experience!!
My time in India was made perfect thanks to Tiger Safari India, every step of my journey was made smoothly and comfortably. The accommodation was of very high standard and the service from every staff member was exceptional. Food was freshly made and by very talented chefs. I came to India to see Tigers and it did not disappoint. In 10 days I saw 11 Tigers! I was very successful thanks to the fantastic guides and drivers, who had excellent skills to locate all sorts of wildlife and could predict a good spot to see the tigers. The parks were stunningly beautiful, filled with mist and large areas of forest and meadows. I already miss watching the sun rising through that scenery. This trip was an amazing experience from start to finish and would highly recommend to anybody wanting to see tigers in their natural habitat. I will be using them again!! An amazing company in an amazing country! Thanks for everything!

      Amazing Custom Safari Experience
What attracted me to booking with Nature Safari India were owner Sharad's thorough and prompt responses along with the detailed itinerary he provided when I made my inquiry for a custom private India safari to Kanha and Bandhavargh national parks, with a trip to Agra. This trip exceeded my expectations. Abhishek, the tour manager, was my go-to-person from the moment I landed at New Delhi until the final day with a tour to Old Delhi. He was always accessible on WhatsApp. The safari lodgings were top-notch and the Holiday Inn Aerocity near DEL airport that Sharad selected was a very convenient base to travel back and forth. Driver/Naturalists Mahesh at Kanha and Ajju at Bandhavargh were excellent in both handling the rough dirt roads in the parks and answering my questions. Mahesh in particular always knew where to place the gypsy vehicle for the best photo-taking spots. I was able to take some high-quality photos thanks to their efforts. Both drivers have served the company for quite a few years, the low turnover of staff is really a testament to how well-run Nature Safari India is. My car drivers were also highly experienced navigating the 4-5 hour trips between airports and the parks. In particular, I was running late from Bandhavargh but made it in time to catch my flight in Jabalpur due to the skillful driving of the Nature Safari driver. As for the tours to Agra and Delhi, the guides were very informative and also knew the best photo spots, but do be prepared for a stop at a carpet merchant and know how to say "No" there. A solo private tour is not cheap, but Nature Safari delivered a 5-star adventure for me and was well worth the cost.

Nature Safari India organized our private 2 Weeks Safari in Central India plus a couple of Sightseeing and we are very happy to having choose this agency. I found them on the responsible tiger tourism association (TOFTigers) and I liked them from the very first contact. From the first email more than two years ago to the end of our trip in April 2022, the service was great, the selection of the itinerary, Parks, lodges and guides was perfect. And this although the very difficult travel situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Our trip had to be postponed and rescheduled twice (we were supposed to travel at the end of March 2020), Mr. Deepkul was always very professional, competent, responsive and helpful with all my requests and he went the extra mile. We had a wonderful time in India, we saw a lot of tigers and wildlife, and we hope to come back soon.
We warmly recommend Nature Safari India to everyone and in the future, we’ll surely book another tour with them.

We spent 3 weeks in India, visiting 4 tiger reserves as well as some of the cities. Can't recommend this company enough - Sharad was always very quick to respond to my questions and nothing was too much trouble. At every turn we were met and escorted by either a driver or, while in Delhi by Deep who was always there, smiling, to greet or farewell us on the next sector of our trip. During our visit to Vrindavan for the Holi festival, we were guided and protected by another member of the team, whose patience and care was just amazing.I would return to India just to book with Nature Safaris again.

We just finished the first half of two tiger safari tours in India. The first was on the Banhavgar National Park. Our guide was Sanjay Gupta, who had 25 years of experience in the park and with the tigers. He was wonderful, sharing his experience and knowledge throughout our three full days together. He was definitely a highlight of our trip, as a great guide makes for a great experience, whether you see tigers or not! And we did see tigers, even though in the winter the tigers are more spread out throughout the park. Sanjay was able to get us to the areas fast and his knowledge of the landscape and where the tigers would be at each time of day was instrumental in us seeing four different tigers over the three days. Given there are only 4,000 wild tigers left in the world, we felt blessed that he was able to show us four of these incredible animals. We are forever grateful to him for sharing his world with us!

What an wonderful find Nature Safari India turned out to be . We had been searching for Indian Safari’s similar to ones we had previously done in Africa, and stumbled across Nature Safari India online, we were a little anxious about booking with an overseas company , but Ishana was amazing , she answered our questions promptly and quelled our fears, Throughout our 21 day tour of India we visited Agra, Corbett, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh, we had the time of our lives , everything was so well organised, we had had a lot of driving ( which we didn’t mind at all as we got to see a lot of India ) and the cars were clean and comfortable & drivers were all amazing and very obliging ( there were snacks and drinks in the car for our journeys.
The Safari lodges were all unique , and provided great safaris and we saw many Tigers and Leopards and much more wildlife too numerous to mention,
Nature Safari India knows the meaning of the word Hospitality , and are in touch often, checking in and making sure everything is going well , we had a couple of small hiccups along the way as you would expect with such a trip , but the issues were handled well and efficiently.
The Personal level of care was outstanding by Ishana and all at Nature Safari India , and we hope to book another Safari to India in the near future .

Dear Guest, Greetings from India! At the onset my heartfelt gratitude for such a wonderful review, "5 Star All The Way". Such reviews from experienced safari goers like you mean a lot to us. I fully comprehend your apprehensions in booking overseas with an online company. But this is when such reviews come into play as they imbibe lot of confidence in the provider. I will convey your kind words to Ishana. She is one of our pillars who always thinks from our guest perspective, responds promptly, and efficiently. India is indeed best seen while driving through the countryside. I am glad you enjoyed it. Our team in the National Parks works hard to ensure that our guests objective of seeing wildlife, including tigers, leopards, birds and others is met. The hiccup in the tour was the sudden cancellation of the the Balloon safari by the organisers. But we were able to get immediate refunds for you and provide the same to you as well. We like to be in touch with our guests regularly during the tour so that we know exactly what is happening. Your mentioning that we know the word hospitality means a lot to us. In India, there is a saying that, "Guest is God", and we follow that to the last mile. I will convey your kind words to Ishana and rest of the team that works behind the scenes without whom such tours cannot be seamless. THank you once again for choosing us, and we hope to serve you again in future. Best Wishes Sharad Vats

Having had to wait 3 years to be able to take this trip due to COVID travel restrictions, we can certainly say it was very much worth the wait. Sharad and his team couldn’t have been more engaged and professional in both the planning and execution of our two week visit and tour of India. The Jim Corbett National Park is an absolute must for anyone wanting to see tigers in beautiful and natural surroundings. Whilst a tour of the places and temples of Agra and khajuraho leave you in awe. We were also able to spend some time at the Bandhavgarh National Park and we were also treated to incredible tiger sightings there.

This trip was a full experience of India, riding planes, trains and automobiles to explore some wonderful areas of India. India has so much to offer and the whole team at Nature Safari India from Sharad and Abishek, to all of the dedicated guides and drivers we had looking after us, ensured at all times that we had the best of experiences. We certainly did and our thanks to Nature Safari India for truly make this a trip of a lifetime.

Dear Tim, Thank you for writing "Tiger Safari - Trip of a lifetime". I am so glad that your much awaited impending tour since March 2020 finally materialised this month. Glad you found the trip worth the wait. I will convey your kind words to our team which is relentless when it comes to ensuring that the tour is seamless. I cannot agree more with you about Jim Corbett National Park. It is India's pride, and our premium National park with amazing landscapes and bio-diversity. Yes, the cultural spots in India are an eye opener as well. The colours, traditions, language, religion, and festivals are an occassion. India dresses up uniquely every festival, and the vibrancy in the air is something one never forgets. Bandhavgarh is surely a gem when it comes to tiger sightings. Abhishek is a pillar of our organisation, who is cool, composed, and highly organised when it comes to handling the team, situations. We hope to arrange more tours for you in future. Best Wishes and Happy New Year. Sharad Vats

We used Nature Safaris to organize our third trip around India in February and March 23! This included the Kerala backwaters near Cochin, Aurangabad area caves and two weeks of tiger safaris in Tadoba, Kahna, Bandhavgarh and Corbett National Parks plus visits to Agra and Vridavan for the Holi Festival! The trip was outstanding and we saw 19 tigers plus several multiple sightings of the same and many other animals in the park! All went as planned and we were escorted and had great guides at all the parks. In addition the Nature Safari team ( Deep and Abishek) went above and beyond to meet with us make sure all went well! Thanks to Sharad and his team!

I cannot recommend Sharad and Nature Safari any stronger. The service was fantastic. Everything was planned out for me. They made me feel so comfortable as a single traveler in a country I have never traveled to previously. The accommodations were great and the parks and animal sightings were something you could only dream of. Could not recommend this trip enough and this company. This trip truly exceeded my expectations which I did not know was possible. Thanks Sharad. I will definitely be back in the future

We did the 4 day 3 night Jim Corbett National Park Tiger Safari. We left and returned to Delhi. It was an awesome and one of the highlights of our three weeks in India! Our guide VJ and driver Savage were very friendly and knowledgeable. With four separate tiger sightings (along with plenty of deer, antelope, elephants and birds and two of the six safaris were in the rain). We’ve done safaris in Africa and Sri Lanka – this experience ranks with the best. Sharad’s customer service was top notch and very proactive. There were some bumps in the road – it is India of course, but Sharad always reached out proactivity. And he was the one to reach out. He did not delegate delivering unanticipated changes to our guide. He leads from the front and I appreciate and respect that. Overall definitely a Five Star experience.

Dear Guest, THank you for writing, "Awesome Experience! Top notch and will use them again!. Jim Corbett National Park is a gem of a park, not only from the beautiful landscpaes point of view, but also the tiger, wildlife and bird sightings. Our team there, specially VJ and Savage are knowledgeable and ensure that your tour is filled with fun, adventure and lot of learning. I am glad that you rate the experience in Corbett above Africa and Sri Lanka safari experiene. At times some road bumps do happen which are outside one's control, but we like to smoothen them in the fatest possible time frame without compromising on the quality of the experience. Thank you for giving us a 5 star experience rating. We wish to serve you again on another wild safari experience in India. Best Wishes Sharad Vats

I was in India for work and had a few days free. I contacted Shard at Nature Safari India after a lot of research on the internet to see if they could me see some tigers. From the outset Shard and team suggested a visit to Jim Corbett National Park with the limited time I had. It didn't disappoint and neither did Nature Safaris India. Brilliant communication, organisation and delivery of what was promised. I saw 3 tigers and countless other fauna. Magic. I'll be back and next time I'll come for longer. I wouldn't hesitate to use Nature safaris India again. Many thanks. Rod

In Feb 23 we finally set forth for our Indian Tiger Safari adventures, 7 years in the planning and delayed for 3 years by Covid. We combined our safaris with Indian sights, including some that focussed on family history in Indore, Delhi, Shimla, visited major Indian sights - Delhi, Shimla, Jaipur, Indore, Maheshwar, all put together beautifully by Sharad Vats. We got our feel for yesteryear and the British Raj when we stayed in an old palace in Shimla, The Woodville Palace Hotel, in a Haveli (an old mansion house) in Jaipur, and in a former palace with a current prince in residence at Ahilya Fort. We also stayed in regular hotels, generally 4 star. We visited many historical monuments and sights, visited the Taj Mahal (with amazing guide called Khizar who is both very knowledgeable about the Taj and Agra Fort and also a wizz on iPhone photography including "trick" photography. For these locations, he knows all the tricks and places and poses for "professional" pictures of you all with your mobile phone camera. You hardly need to take photos yourself), we walked through markets, made woodblock prints in Jaipur, hiked a mountain in Shimla and at loads of nice food.

Our tiger safaris were the absolute highlight of our trip and we visited three National Parks - Jim Corbett National Park (5 safaris) , Bandhavgarh National Park (7 safaris) and Kanha National Park (5 safaris). An original itinerary for 2020 had us doing shared jeep safaris, and on Sharad's advice, we changed and undertook all safaris on an exclusive basis, which was so much better. Each park gave us several fantastic tiger sightings including "our own tiger" on several occasions and these "own tiger" sightings were aided by the incredible skills and knowledge of our drivers and guides - Vijay and Pervej in Corbett, Ajeet in Bandhavgarh, and Mahish in Kanha. They know the names of all the birds and animals, and they know just where to look for the tigers, and pointed them out when we couldn't see them!

The national parks are spectacular, with awesome sunrises and sunsets and you are removed from the hustle and bustle and crowds and traffic of daily Indian life, to experience space, animals and birds and the natural environment in a peaceful way. Each park was different in its own way, and we saw all of the common animals - tigers, many types of deer, sloth bears including with babies, jackals and pups, wild dogs, elephants, many many birds including peacocks galore. I think the only animal we didn't see was a leopard.

The planning for this trip began prior to Nature Safari's visibility on Trip Advisor, and resulted from a pot luck internet search which sounded interesting. Sharad replied very quickly to my first email and it all began from there - Sharad was happy to accommodate anything we wanted to do, rearrange the itinerary and so on, and was always quick to answer emails, answer questions and provide information. When we finally arrived, we were met at the airport by Deepkul and a driver, and had drivers and guides with us the whole time we were in India, making everything hassle free and all the arrangements seamless. Deepkul maintained contact with us via Whats App and phone, providing driver and guide details to us for our new locations. All drivers were professional and safe drivers in the midst of what we saw as mayhem on the roads, helpful, and the cars air conditioned and immaculate with "supplies" of snacks, water and soft drinks, and Wifi!! They stopped when required, took us to nice clean roadside restaurants with generally clean bathroom facilities and western toilets. Some of the drives were incredibly long, but this really helped us cope with them.

If I had to say our favourite place - I would say Corbett and Dhikala lodge, it was where we saw our first tiger, and the location of the lodge within the National Park is great, and it is very beautiful overlooking the river. Its a very rustic lodge, vegetarian only, and sometimes the power goes out (take a torch), but we loved it none the less.
