India is one of the most diverse country in terms of its food and culture. The best way for someone to understand more about the local culture and wide variety of cuisines would be to interact with a local. This experience not only gives you a glimpse into the local way of life but also introduces Indian food enjoyed at homes. What's more? You get to learn the tips and tricks of Indian cooking and learn how to cook a couple of simple Indian dishes that can be easily replicated back at home. Join your host Supriya at her home in Defence Colony, New Delhi. She will greet you with a warm smile and a refreshing drink. Following this you can head to the kitchen where Supriya will guide you on how to make a few dishes. You will start with Shahi Paneer which is prepared from cottage cheese simmered in a creamy, slightly sweetish gravy made of tomatoes, cream, and aromatic spices, followed by Mughlai Paratha which is a soft, crisp and flaky unleavened bread made of whole wheat flour. Post the cooking session, sit back relax and enjoy the meal with Supriya and her family.
Note: This is not a professional cooking class, but a home based local cooking and dining experience with a family.
