The 9 day tour was organised by Mr Sunil and we were very happy with the tour schedule and hotels selected. We started off from Delhi for Shimla and enjoyed the visit to the woods. Further destinations included Kullu, Manali, Rohtang Pass, Solang valley, Dalai Lama temple at Mcleodgunj in Dharamshala, Kurukshetra, Chandigarh and back to Delhi. The hotels in the mountains were nice offering stunning views of the valleys. I could not fault the hotel selection by the operator. Our driver Manjeet was very helpful and his driving was very safe. The operators always place your safety above everything else. I will be using them again for future trips and they can customise tours to suit your needs. We had no problems with food and the sightseeing was awesome. Thank you Alkof for giving us such a great time.

The tour was incredible, we enjoyed a lot. We were received at New Delhi airport by Manoj from alkof holidays, before Manoj received us we were worried about New Delhi arrival as we visited Northern India first time. Then Manoj transferred us to hotel Lalit, and the hotel was amazing. The sightseeing at Delhi, Sunrise Taj Mahal visit at Agra, and the whole city tour of Jaipur was such an incredible experience, I can't tell you in words. During Varanasi sightseeing, we attended Ganga aarti, a boat ride on the Ganges, and visited Kashi Vishwanath temple to get blessing of Lord Shiva. Then we visited Sarnath and visited all sacred sites of Lord Buddha. It was an amazing experienc, through out the tour alkofholidays representative Manoj travelled with us, as we were a family of 10 people it was very much required. Finally I can tell you that the tour was an amazing experience and i am very happy with alkof holidays and will book my next trip to Rajasthan with them again. The trip was amazing, and well managed. All the hotels, driver and local guides were very good. Amazing response by Alkof Holidays throughout the tour. I recommend the tour and the company.

The accommodation was one of the biggest bugbears. Virtually all our hotels where in locations where it wasn't possible to go walking to explore the surrounding neighbourhood. Two hotels didn't have hot water available or any heating. Alkof Holidays should look at providing a better accommodation option although this might make a big difference to the price of this tour which was reasonable but has now gone up more than 15%. We had a misunderstanding with the manager Varun Agarwal where he did not accept that something that was mentioned as being part of the itinerary should be considered as an inclusive. So be wary of what the offering is on the tour description that can be found on TourRadar - North India Tour with Mumbai (12 days). Our driver was superb but I have to say that our guides were a mixed bag with a couple barely able to speak intelligible English. One guide who took us around at Fatehpur Sikri was positively rude as he tried to hurry us on as he discouraged us from visiting the mosque there suggesting it was too crowded and we would have to take our shoes off.

Wow, what a tour. Completely met and exceeded our expectations. There is a lot of travelling by road, and some by train. But the experiences you see from the vehicle, the fantastic sights, sounds and smells are unforgettable. Rajesh the Delhi driver was absolutely brilliant and was a very careful and courteous driver. Always on time and looking out for us. The Tour Guide was also very knowledgeable and was a really nice guy, excellent service all round. The day trip to Taj Mahal was a long one with a 3.5 hour drive each way. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There are additional fee's to enter the Taj Mahal. Our next driver, Honey, was a really nice young guy, and drove us for many 100's of miles. He sometimes was late and also drove as if he was rehearsing for Formula One, but once we asked him to arrive on time and to drive slower, he was very respectful. Also, he liked to have his favourite music playing, which was ok at a lower volume - again he respected our requests. The Delhi Hotel was lovely, with a rooftop pool, and excellent food in the restaurant, with plenty of choices at breakfast and dinner, also a daytime snack menu was available, Towels, hairdryer, toilet paper, kettle with tea/coffee, TV and safe all provided in the room. The next hotel was 5k outside of Shimla. It was located at the main Bus station. It was comfortable and adequate for overnight stays. The restaurant served a good choice of food for breakfast and dinner. All room facilities available. The Hotel near Manali was 8k from Manali town/Mall. It was isolated upon a hillside. The restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food available for breakfast and dinner with fantastic views along the valley. We arrived very late in Chandigarh so did not have an opportunity to see the City The hotel was very nice and the room fully equipped and comfortable. The restaurant was very good too. The trips each day were interesting and flexible - for example we were not interested in riding horses or bull, or visiting the Zoo, but we were able to walk in the woods and enjoy the clean air of the valley and enjoy the views, or visit a nearby village as an alternative. The highlight of the tour for me was reaching the top of the Rohtung Pass. Worth every minute of the 2+ hours drive each way to reach it. Also, the valleys are filled with Apple trees - the apples so juicy and tasty, so fresh. The train trip was really interesting and lovely to speak to local people sat by us and to see the landscape as we travelled. We were met by a driver at every arrival point, and a guide on time every time. The company kept in touch with us throughout the tour to ensure we were happy or to notify us of driver or guide names and details. They were very helpful in helping change our overnight plans on our return to the airport. We would definitely book with Alkof holidays again if we visit India and highly recommend them.

Visited The Taj Mahal, last week early in the morning and it was a fabulous scenery. Very early morning we got up, and the driver already waiting for us in the lobby of the hotel, we just rushed to him so that we do not get late. Fortunately, we were very lucky we arrived at Taj Mahal in time and was able to enjoy a sunrise just above the Taj, it was an amazing moment. We enjoyed a lot, also visited the Agra Fort, it was a replica of the Red Fort in Delhi. Overall an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend this tour. It was well organized by Alkof Holidays.

The trip was amazing, visited many sacred monasteries, enjoyed camel safari in Nubra Valley and the best part was the camping near Pangong lake, it is a beautiful destination where anyone can go, relax and enjoy the true beauty of the mother nature. The trip was well managed by Alkof Holidays and I recommend the company.

I and my friends visited South India, after visiting many wonderful temples and monument at last we approached Kumbakonam where we enjoyed the Ayurveda, yoga and meditation practice...
