          Explore the colourful countryside
I was in chandigarh on work and decided to take this 2 day tour. What an amazing experience. I had a lovely guide in Balwinder and we had so much fun while exploring the countryside of Punjab Chandigarh was the most planned city I have seen in india with lovely gardens , while Anantpur saheb was a touch of rural India at its colorful best. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic Experience in Rajasthan with Five Senses
We had an absolutely splendid time on this Palaces of Rajasthan tour with Five Senses. Being rather relaxed travellers, the specially curated itinerary which wasn't too hectic and allowed us ample time to wind down and visit sites at our own pace worked perfectly. Several attractions and activities included on the tour were quite 'off-the-map', which really set the whole experience apart from those offered by other operators. Our guide and cultural ambassador Balwinder did a fantastic job, going above and beyond at every step, giving us some great local recommendations, and always keeping us engaged and enthused. I would highly vouch for anyone considering this tour to go for it without hesitation.

          Great slice of Rajasthan
We went as a family to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. In our group we had 3 senior citizens and 2 kids(one below 10). The trip was arranged wonderfully with accommodations and guided tours all taken care of without having us to worry about a thing. The one star that was cut was only due to the dessert safari which was a bit of a let down. We feel a little research could have gone into the dessert camp company. The company that had been arranged did not meet our expectations at all. We were looking for something more classy and unique where as what this company offered was way below our expectations. But apart from that the rest of the trip was seamless. Logistics, travel, guides all planned and executed to perfection. Our next India trip, we will use Five Senses for sure.

          Outstanding architecture and sculptures
It was an amazing 3 days of exploring medieval temples. Some of the temples had sculptures of the famous book kamasutra. The carvings were exquisite. Our guide Anurag was brilliant and made this tour very memorable. I would highly recommend this.

Get a glimpse of Hindu culture rarely seen
Tremendous experience, thanks largely to Balwinder and 5senses. The guide cleared the way through crowds and I always felt safe. Few tourists visit these towns (in august) but I believe that will change. The hilltop temple in Haridwar has dirty floors and requires visitors to be barefoot but the experience is worth it. Balwinder was able to get tickets to bypass the queue for the tram. I enjoyed being in nature for the Beatles ashram, despite a brief rainstorm. The evening aarti and experience of witnessing the pilgrims performing their traditions in the Ganga impacted me a great deal. The food and staff at the hotel were terrific, especially the pandit and yoga instructor. Wear orange to fit in if you’d like to.

Exciting 3 day trip to Jaipur which hits all the beautiful palaces and forts and leaves time for shopping!
My friend and I booked a 3 day trip to Jaipur with 5 Senses. The itinerary included the Amber Fort, City Palace, observatory and many more stops along the way. Our guide was very informative and was always happy to answer our questions. He was also a great photographer and knew all the great spots to take a picture. Our driver Balwinder was also great. He was so accommodating as we had a list of shopping venues.

Weekend Tour of Jodhpur - Big Thumbs Up!
Bottom line up front: I am a dedicated Five Senses customer and a big fan! Actually, I should say that I’m a repeat Five Senses customer, as I now rely on them exclusively to help me plan all my travel in India. Most recently, I took a trip to Jodhpur. Now, I’m not the typical foreign tourist. First, I live in India six months out of every twelve, so I’m reasonably comfortable and familiar with things. More importantly, I love Indian food – all of it – from Andhra to Rajasthan to Goa, and everything in between. Next, I’m a huge history buff, and India’s history, its kingdoms and empires, battles and conquests, customs and innovations, are all fascinating to me. However, it’s difficult to find a tour company or a guide who in India who understand how to craft an experience for someone with my particular interests, both historical and gastronomical. I should say it WAS difficult! Until I found Five Senses. All of my trips with 5 Senses have been carefully planned and curated to satisfy not only my historical curiosity, but also my culinary interests. On this trip, the Five Senses staff were experts in navigating around Jodhpur, explaining the significance of everything I saw, from forts to palaces to the stark beauty of the desert, all while making me feel less like a client and more like an old friend with whom they wanted to share their India. In a nutshell – the tour was great, the city was great, the places they took me to eat were great, the guides were great…for what more could one ask?

          Visit to the historic Khajuraho
What a fantastic wonder tucked in the interiors of India! It was a magical 3 days as we visited a dozen temples build in incredible architectural style. It is literally the Kamasutra book etched in stone. The arrangements were impeccable with Five Senses tours arranging a clean and safe car, a highly knowledgeable and patient guide and flights. I would highly recommend this tour without hesitation.

          Serene Golden Temple at Amritsar
I had a weekend free at Delhi and tried the tour company, Five senses again for my tour of Amritsar. I had heard a lot about the glittering golden temple. In reality, it was truly magnificent and tranquility personified. The kitchen experience was mind-blowing and will leave me with a lifetime of memories. It is a must do if you are around Delhi and have 2 days of free time.

          Temple hopping
Fantastic visit meticulously organized by 5 Senses and our great cultural ambassadors Vivek and Ram Sewak. Every detail of this trip from hotels to transportation and the choice of great local guides, restaurant suggestions, and an uncanny ability to revise our tour when requested to include additional visits to local temples and points of interest was handled at a moments notice with utmost courtesy and efficiency. This turned out to be a “once in a lifetime” tour that I will cherish forever.

Experiencing magical Rajasthan with 5 Senses
The beauty of taking a private tour with 5 Senses is that you have total control over your time and experiences. If you read about something interesting you can add it to your itinerary. If you get tired of something you can leave early and do something else. This is impossible when you're on a group tour with a fixed itinerary and 10 or 20 people to negotiate changes with. Often your 5 Senses host will suggest activities that aren't on the itinerary once they get to know your specific interests. In our experience 5 Senses represents great value for money, and they are much less expensive than touring with international companies that have to recoup $$ spent on glossy brochures and promotion (Nat Geo, Smithsonian, etc.) They get great rates on hotels, so don't be afraid to ask for luxe hostelries if that's your thing. This year we traveled for several weeks with 5 Senses, visiting Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, among other places. There have been too many great experiences to describe here; suffice it to say that we've enjoyed every day. We were lucky in Rajasthan to have Balwinder as our host, and sometimes our hero. Example: I developed knee problems in Jaisalmer; Balwinder found a great private hospital where I could be seen by an osteopath, x-rayed and receive physiotherapy that got me back on my feet in two days (and at a fraction of what it would have cost back home). He always looked out for our best interests and tried to anticipate what we would like. Clearly, to him "job one" was keeping us happy and safe. Our advice? Don't think twice, book with 5 Senses. You won't be sorry.

          Amazing journey
This was an incredibly easy, safe and wonderful way to get from New Delhi to Amritsar. If you have the time for an overnight stop there are many incredible places to visit and it was well worth the extra time. We were fortunate to have Balwinder Singh as our travel ambassador. His polite, professional personalized service ensured that we stopped as often as we wanted and saw some incredible sites such as local temples, architecture, great tea shops and other points of interest that you won’t see from a bus or train. We spent the night in Chandigarh which was an easy four hour drive from New Delhi and allowed us plenty of time to see some last minute sites in Delhi before hitting the road. Next morning Balwinder arranged a fantastic tour of Chandigarh, India’s first planned city designed by the architect Le Corbusier. The highlight was a visit to the Capitol Complex, a World Heritage site and an architectural wonder. Balwinder lives on a farm with his family in the Punjab and we were honored to stop and meet them and share a meal and their wonderful hospitality. We also toured a few farms in the area to gain an understanding of the joys and challenges of farming and rural life in the Punjab, the bread basket of India. There are lots of ways to travel between New Delhi and Amritsar. But none of them come close to the amazing, one-of-a-kind adventure this turned out to be. Highest recommendation!

          Another great 5 Senses tour
This was another excellent 5 Senses tour (we have had many with them). Our cultural ambassador and driver was Balwinder Singh, a wonderful guy who we now call a friend. As we had asked for two nights in Agra in our customized experience, and since there was a full moon, we were able to see the Taj at dawn and in the moonlight. Magical! Don't be lazy and miss the early morning Taj--great light and fewer visitors. We also visited interesting Agra Fort, where Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son when he wanted to build a second, black Taj (and bankrupt the state). You can sit at the window where the Shah gazed at his beloved monument during the eight years of his captivity. In addition to Balwinder, 5 Senses booked a local guide who was knowledgeable and happy to answer our many questions. Finally, for lunch or dinner we highly recommend Salt Café, near the Radisson where we stayed. The food and service are great, and we ended up eating dinner there both nights. Homework suggestion: stream the Hindi film Jodha Akbar to watch before or after visiting the Fort to see how the Moghul court looked in its glory.

We loved Jaipur! We visited during our 5.5 week north India tour organized by wonderful 5 Senses. (We also spent 3 weeks with them in the south in 2020, just before covid struck.)

Because we wanted to be sure to have enough time, and not to have to rush, we spent four nights in the city and did not regret it (except when we had to leave).

Our excellent cultural ambassador and friend Balwinder Singh took great care of us, as he always does.

We got to see most everything we wanted, including Amber Fort and Palace, the Hawa Mahal, the Jantar Mantar astrological observatory, the Birla and Moti Dungal temples, Jawahar Kala Kendra (art exhibits), and the surprisingly good Albert Hall museum. Balwinder also helped us find a local barber (beard trim for me, haircut for my friend). The total bill was US $1.50.

Balwinder booked a local guide for our palace day; he did a good job too.

On our way to Jaipur from Agra, Balwinder suggested that we might like to visit Chand Baori stepwell, the oldest and deepest in Rajasthan. Interesting!

In Jaipur we stayed in the Crowne Plaza, which we recommend. Nearby is a very nice ayurvedic wellness center (called The Nature: A Complete Wellness Center, I think). An excellent, hour long massage costs just 600 rupees (about US $7.50), and the owner discourages tipping (though we cheated and tipped our guys anyway.) We visited two days in a row.

In our experience you can't go wrong with 5 Senses!

This was my second tour with this companylon and they did a great job in jaipur as well. Our driver was courteous and safe. The guide was amazing and knew his history. We enjoyed his comany as he took us to some magnificent palaces and forts. The Hawa Mahal was breadth taking and really a sight to behold. The city palace had a beautiful collection of royal possession. My favourite destination was Amber fort. The view of the city with its pink buildings
looked surreal. The arrangements of car and hotels were impeccable. Highly recommended
