About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 788garia0 contributionsAwesome experienceNick, our tour guide was amazing! Communication prior to the tour was timely and he was there exactly on time even though our flight was delayed. He was very knowledgeable about the Taj Mahal and he took care of all logistics! Made it a very care free experience.Written September 28, 2024
- H4099UUdanielar0 contributionsGreat Taj TourI felt well taken care of the whole time. We were welcomed and safe and given a wonderful tour of the Taj Mahal. Nick had so many random facts and kept us having fun the whole time.Written September 28, 2024
- Happiness5215740 contributionsBeware of tourist trapI am a tourist from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Everything on our day trip from Delhi to Agra was great, except the scams mentioned below: The owner of this tour company is Sumit. Driver and tour guide (Ishi) were good. On time and helpful. Ishi’s English was good and he was knowledgeable. He also took lovely pictures of us at Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Our guide took us to a handicraft store called Handicrafts Gallery - Jewellers & Art Dealers. We did not ask to go there. I left a review on their Google business page. >> This is how they scam the tourists. Prices are ridiculous and everything is fake. Salesmen are pushy. It is all part of a scam with the tour guide and handicraft store business. Do not buy anything. Tell your tour guide you are not interested from the get-go. <> Our tour guide from Taj Mahal brought us here. This is how they scam the tourists. Prices are ridiculous and everything is fake. - F592TJpauls0 contributionsFantastic ExperienceSumit and his team planned and executed a short but brilliant trip to Agra and Jaipur for our family and our friends, as we were all travelling together. They accomodated varying types of needs as we had an infant, you ger kids and tweens with us. The hotels were 5* and perfect, all hotel food was out of this world. Transport and tours to monuments were really well conducted. I exchanged many messages with Sumit whilst planning the trip and he was brilliant with Comms, always coming back super fast and providing great solutions both before and during the trip. Would highly recommend the company for any trips to the Golden Triangle.Written February 18, 2024
- priyankar7220 contributionsBe careful and negotiate details before your tripMr. Sumit was very professional and prompt in responding and coordinating our trip. However our driver’s attitude was weird. We were told the car would be at our disposal so that we could use it whenever we wanted, but our driver would wrap up everything in one shot and he wasn’t pleased when we went shopping in Jaipur with him parked after our city palace tour. He was made aware that I being Indian was handling the financial situation and I made the payment to him in cash in Agra, but he made matters sour by demanding a tip from my husband who’s a non-Indian even before the trip was over saying he included things like Baby Taj which were not listed (he conveniently didn’t mention that we didn’t go to Akshardham or a tour inside the Red Fort (they didn’t tell us it was closed till 30th!) and he forced us on a rickshaw ride in old Delhi which we didn’t want and was pressuring my husband to take an elephant ride ( we are strongly against any animal exploitation so we skipped that too). We omitted many other places listed on our itinerary and the last day he took us to the most remote path and inconvenient way to access Galta ji temple instead of the automobile route where you can park and walk within 2 minutes to the temple. When I met a fellow traveler who told me about the car route I asked Balbeer (that’s the driver) why he took us where we’d have to hike/trek up and down (ultimately we couldn’t even visit it) he said the autoroute was on the Agra Jaipur highway and it was dark on our return from Agra to Jaipur . This showed intentional deception on his part as he never mentioned this while he knew the only thing on the list on our last day in Jaipur (our flight was at 6 PM) was the temple and we didn’t even ask him to come during the day to take us to the old city or even for lunch, and he dropped us at the airport at 3 PM (wayyyy early for a domestic flight) so that he could reach Agra by a certain time. Overall it wouldn’t be an experience I wish on anyone. For those who haven’t been there or are non Indians this may be ok but it’s unacceptable to regular Indians. Ultimately he did get $50 in cash from my husband so I wish he’d have at least shown us the temple we wanted to as it was just an airport drop that day with nothing else on the itinerary. Be careful and negotiate details before your trip.Written February 16, 2024
- rebeccalS8639AN0 contributionsA wonderful dayBirj Kishor and Mohsin Khan were both amazing! They both grew up in Agra and knew everything about the area. We had a wonderful time. Birj was a great driver. They let us move our start time an hour earlier and were responsive via whatsapp. We had a very comfortable ride from Delhi and Birj even stopped to get us tea. Mohsin guided us around the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. He bought our tickets and we did in fact get to skip the entry lines! He told us the history, knew all the best photo locations, and let us take our time. We got to spend over 2.5 hours walking around the Taj which was a dream. As a bonus Mohsin was an excellent photographer! I always appreciate an eye for detail. I'm a photographer so I'm picky with photos, and now we have some fantastic shots of one of the highlights of our India trip. We stopped at two local businesses (marble inlay and jeweler) where they tell you a little about their craft, serve you tea, and you can buy souvenirs. We did buy something small at each. We ended the afternoon at a lovely buffet for lunch. The staff were knowledgeable about all of the ingredients and helped us avoid nut allergens. Thanks again for a great visit to Agra!Written February 4, 2024

- davidtheamazing0 contributionsFour days to be amazed by India!I only had a short vacation and this guided tour was a great way to see a lot of the most amazing parts of India comfortably and efficiently. Our driver Birendra picked us up from the airport and managed all of the difficult logistics of the trip so we could focus on the the food, history, and culture. He was always reliable and attentive to his passengers while safely navigating the driving conditions. Hotels were very nice and exceeded expectations. Hotels all had fine dining and cocktails to relax and unwind after packed days of touring and sightseeing. We enjoyed the upgrade to the Jaypee Palace hotel in Agra, which allowed us to see firsthand how over-the-top Indian weddings can be. They even had chandeliers in their party tents. English-speaking guides joined us at each point of interest to explain the history and help us interpret what we were seeing. It was a little unclear which guides were included, for example, the guide at the Chand Boori (step well) insisted that his 400 rup fee had not been paid by the company. The guide at the monkey temple was great but also an opportunist who asked for a lot more, 1600-2000 rup. The shopping stops were fun but be ready to walk away or negotiate on the prices! As a vegan, I wasn't sure about food but choices were abundant and our guides let the restaurants know about our preferences. Everyone warned me that there was a high likelihood of getting sick but it didn't happen. The elephant ride in Jaipur seemed popular but we skipped it out of concern for the animals' welfare.Written December 31, 2023
- Resort035712811670 contributionsTrip of a Lifetime! The trip was very well organized from beginning to end. It is a great way to see a lot of India in a very short amount of time. There were so many highlights: the old Delhi spice market, Taj Mahal, all of the palaces in Jaipur, and the monkey temple! Our driver, Birendra, was courteous and communicated well with WhatsApp, he was with us from start to finish. Each like cal guide was knowledgeable and interesting. We had good food and enjoyed the shopping experiences as well (be prepared for some hard sales!). The monkey temple was so worth seeing (it's a 1 hour walk each way), but negotiate the price with the local guide before you go up. We loved feeding the monkeys and taking pictures with them. We were upgraded to the 5 star hotel package and really enjoyed the hotels. I would call this a trip of a lifetime!Written December 28, 2023

- C4470CElizr0 contributionsGreat tour!Today the five of us went on a sunrise tour, with Nick. He was a very friendly guide who told us the history and constitution of the Taz Mahal. Nick was kind enough to take group and indivual photos throughout the tour. After the tour we went to several Agra artisan shops. We were very impressed with the local traditional art. I highly recommend this tour.Written December 8, 2023

When you retire you set bucket list items. For us travel to exotic places is the most important. We had the Taj Majal in the top 5 of our list. We had a cruise stopping in Mumbai and thought this presented the best opportunity. Somehow we got connected with Sumit with Taj Wonder Tours and it’s the best thing that happened to us. Sumit responded to emails and WhatsApp messages instantly no matter the time. I kept wondering when he slept. He developed a very detailed itinerary that worked like a old fashioned Swiss watch. A driver picked us up at the cruise terminal in Mumbai and delivered us to the airport for a flight to Delhi. Another driver was waiting for us at the airport, took us on a window tour of the city with stops at the President’s House and the India Gate. From there he drove us to Agra to our awesome hotel for the night. Next morning we got picked up to see the sunrise at the Taj Mahal. There, we were met by the best tour guide we have ever had. Neeraj (Nick) spent the day with us and showed us the Taj Majal, the Agra Fort, took us marble and jewelry shopping, ride Tuk Tuks (motorized rickshaw), camels, and city seightseeing. He even recommended a great restaurant for lunch. Can’t stress enough how wonderful a day we had. We were driven to Delhi to spend the night at another great hotel with a ride to the airport the next day to fly to Goa to rejoin our cruise ship. Sumit and his staff did an awesome job, not only of planning our trip, but we did not have to wait on drivers, plenty of time to catch planes, great hotels, great and timely communication, and most important an incredible and reasonable price. I strongly recommend Taj Wonder Tours for your Taj Mahal experience. First class operation.

A few days before my trip I reached out to the operator with an inquiry - I had a limited amount of time (approx 50 hours) and wanted to cover as much ground as possible. Sumit was responsive, willing and able to accommodate my last minute booking request.
From the moment I got picked up at Delhi airport until I got dropped off there again 2 days later I felt that I was in good hands. The driver, Virander, met me at the terminal, and looked after me, accommodating my requests, the entire time. He was professional, attentive, and helpful. While driving between the cities he also pointed out points of interest.
The car was in a good condition and clean, and chilled water bottles were provided.
During this trip I visited Jaipur and Agra and was met with a guide in each city. Both guides were very knowledgeable!
(I opted out of the accommodation option, my hotels were booked directly)
I'd definitely recommend the operator, and I look forward to coming back another time and exploring more areas.

The tour company is very professional, courteous and promptly responds to all queries. The guide Ishi was very knowledgeable, explained details about the structure of Taj Mahal and the history well. He also took me to places where the artisans do in-lay work in marble, carpet weaving place and precious stone unique to Agra. It was a wholesome tour that was very well organized.

Nick and DM welcomed us at the Agra train station and right away made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Nick then took us in a tour of the Taj Mahal which included a full historical context of the UNESCO heritage site, and made sure not to miss any detail no matter how small. We then went to the Fatehepur Sikri Fort where Nick's knowledge of the history of this ghost settlement was overwhelming, once again, he made sure every detail was discussed, even pointing out historical facts in the carvings. I would conclude by saying that I would highly recommend the tour as we felt safe and all our expectations were exceeded.

My nineteen year old son had a very enjoyable trip with "The Taj wonder tours". The driver picked him up from the hotel and noticing that my son did not wear proper winter clothing, had provided his own jacket to my son for the day's trip. It was a brutally cold foggy day and the trip could have been unbearable without his kindness. My son who is not familiar with local language tremendously enjoyed his guided trip. Five starts to the gentleman (Mr. Puneet) who promptly answered my phone call (from US) and helped me through the process of booking the trip on behalf of my son. Without hesitation, they deserve a big shout out for the wonderful service!

These guys are amazing. They really went out of their way to make our day special, and also took care of getting our train tickets and Taj tickets for us so we didn't have to deal with any of the details. When we got to the Taj we got to go through a separate line and got right in. They were really knowledgeable and explained everything so well.
I wanted to get my son a souvenir from the Taj but missed out on my chance. They went back after and got him a model of the Taj Mahal and personally delivered it to me. It's nicer than anything I could've picked out myself and I was really touched by their kind gesture. They also had a birthday cake arranged for my friend at lunch and surprised her with a bouquet of flowers.
They truly go above and beyond to make the day special.

The tour group took wonderful care of us. Highly experienced and organized. Skillfully navigating many tasks that were quite daunting for foreigners. From our groups train ticket to navigating the Taj Mahal tickets, and the red fort. Then to lunch and local shops One member of the group had a birthday and they surprised her with flowers and made sure there was no dairy in her desert ( they went and spoke with the kitchen) they are very considerate helping is on and off the bus. Especially important to me as I was traveling with a knee injury. They made sure to warn me of uneven terrain and steps. They surprised us as we arrived with wonderfully smelling flower necklaces. They checked in on us often and provided us with cold water. They took pictures of the group at all the right places. In the end they surprised us with a beautiful group picture. There so many nice little gestures and kindness and made the trip stress free. Just a lovely experience and I’m so grateful to them for facilitating that.
