Had the best experience in Sri Lanka thanks to Saj (& lucky). Saj created a special itinerary full of great experiences based on our needs & calendar. We saw the country through the eyes of locals. Saj showed us all the touristic spots, but also all the hidden local spots. Next to Saj, we had a personal driver that brought us everywhere. The rides in between destinations were always fun. Great music, we stopped now & then at temples, local shops, local foodshops, view points,… A trip with Saj means lots of fun, interesting facts, new foods, new friends,.. We had a tailored 5-day tour with Michael. He took great care of us, made us feel welcome and secure, and ensured we maximized our time and experiences. Despite the tour's high cost, we felt like we got bang for our buck, although some stuff that was said to be included, such as train tickets and temple entrance fees, were unexpectedly not paid for us. We enjoyed ourselves and let that slide. However, in Ella we were informed that Saj was facing banking issues, and we were required to cover our hotel expenses and transportation to Mirissa (80€). Saj assured us he would resolve the matter with the bank and pay us back. Saj did not get back to us about the refund proactively, but we had to ask about it several times, and, unfortunately, we're still not refunded three months later. During the trip, Saj had had no trouble receiving payment for the tour through a bank transfer application. I'm very disappointed by the broken promises and trust. Overall, our trip was quite enjoyable, but the unfulfilled promises and a lack of communication leave a sour note. I'm left questioning whether the banking incident was a one-off thing or a recurring way to get more profit. And that's not all! I put up the review above over a month ago. In response, my friend got some rude messages from Saj asking us to take it down. According to him, apparently, there are these bank restrictions from Sri Lanka to Europe that are stopping him from paying us back. He also said a lot of other things, which I will not write here. I did take the review down for a bit, thinking he might be onto something, but after doing some digging I couldn't find any solid info about transactions being restricted. Hearing no updates again from Saj, I decided to repost this review. If I end up being wrong and we actually do get paid back, I'll happily delete this review.

Seeing Sri Lanka through Saj’s eyes was such a unique experience. He’s so passionate about the area around Kandy where we started off that you immediately fall in love with the place as well. There is so much to explore there! We went for hidden waterfalls, local food and to discover the beautiful temples and culture that Sri Lanka has to offer. We went from Kandy to Trincomalee and then to Sigiriya and there was never one boring moment. 💃 I loved that every ride to another destination like Sigiriya for example felt like a new discovery. Always such cool stops along the ways that you never feel like you’re losing time by going from one destination to another. Highly recommend to book a tour with Saj and see the many layers of Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰☀️ can’t wait to come back!

Saj has been the best tour guide. Extremely friendly, helpful and kind. He showed us all the best hidden gems in Sri Lanka, and tailored our two days with him perfectly. We saw a beautiful quiet waterfall, climbed Pidurangala rock, went on an elephant safari, spice gardens, a tea factory, and more. We couldn’t have had a better time, will definitely be recommending to all our family and friends!

Saj is the most helpful companion, you will find in Sri Lanka. If you want to have amazing experiences from Ceylon, you have to meet him.

Saj just wants the best for you and his humer is quite funny. You just tell him what you would like to see and do and somehow he makes it happen, for a good price. My friends and I went from Kandy to Sigiriya and we then to a tea factory and to a spice garden on the way and the day after he took us to Pidurangala and he found us a really good and cheap accommodation for us.

It was my second trip with Yamu tours. First time I traveled alone and was treated like the most important person in the world, 5 days were full of fun and I visited all the places I wanted. This time I was with my friends so first they want to do everything by themselves but after checking prices on taxi or car rent and so on, especially after understanding that u didn’t have to stand in lines waiting… it was obvious we should go with Yamu tours. It was 2 days: Yala and Ella and it was amazing as usual. U can make any trip u want! Highly recommended!

It was amazing experience to travel with Sadj and Buddika to Yala National Park and Ella. It was 100% value for money for the 2-days private tour for me and my friends. We’ve seen lots of elephants on Safari, have been climbing on Little Adams Peak. Saj made pretty nice photos of us:) So we deeply satisfied with this trip and recommend this guys.

We travelled with Yamu tours to Yala and Ella for 2 days from Unawatuna. It was so smoothly organised, everything tightly to schedule and the tour guides were really nice and tried to solve all our problems. So now it feels like we have new friends in Sri Lanka:)) Highly recommend!
