B Booked this 4 days before the trip. Afterwards I contacted via WhatsApp to have the ticket delivered to the hotel that I would have to book. As soon as I knew the hotel I gave the address. The ticket was the day before departure in the hotel.Fast answers good communication !!!!!

Fantastic family adventure. Bimal did a great job putting together a custom itinerary for us. Collected from the airport by Isuru in a comfortable modern Van touring around the countryside. Highlights included seeing leopards and elephants in Wilpattu Nat park, sirgaya, spice visit, Kandy and so much more. Big thanks to Isuru for looking after us. Memories made!

Mahaweli was flexibel to give us a custamized tour based on our budget, wishes and time. We had Therkshana as our guide. Good driver He was respectful, easy to communicate with and on time. We had a great time in Sri Lanka with him. He gave us advice on other places to also visit. He took us to good resturants. We had a 9 days tour. Visited Galle, Udawalawa, Ella, Kandy and Sigiriya. Our overall experiance with Mahaweli was great. It made our time in Sri Lanka easy and fun! They had it all planned!

Historical train on historical railway. Views are wonderful but you must take seat on the right side of wagon in riding direction otherwise you can see only forest and hillsides. Comfort is very low and you feel some time as a riding on the bull. Only for historical train lovers.

We had an amazing trip and tour of Sri Lanka with Mahaweli Tours booked through Flamingo Sweden. Our guide Janaka was very friendly, cheerful and helpful with everything and always made sure to give us the most authentic experience also catering for our needs and wishes and making good detours and additional sights and activities along the way (like bathing in a waterfall, high tea at grand hotel …). Having a personal guide and driver who brings you to the hotels and sights very convenient and also feels very safe and gives great insights and aloes for good accomodation of alternate and additional activities. The hotels were all clean and comfortable and of good standard. The tour comprises key locations you need to see when you’re in Sri Lanka in a fast paced format. Our personals highlight was visiting the Sigirya/Lions rock, Minereya elephant safari and Yalla national reserve where we spotted leopards, but all parts of the program where really good and high standard, the train trip was amazing. Overall, we would definitely recommend travelling with Mahaweli Tours and be guided by Janaka!

In the need of very specific custom-made routes and times for transportation, sometimes with a tour, sometimes only a drive, Mahaweli Tours were really accommodating and have set-up all of it! Thank you, Deshani! I would like to meet you in person one day! All three drivers that took care of us were great! Calm and cautious driving, observing, pointing out points of interests (even if they were hired only as drivers, not the guides), explaining ingredients in food, stopping at Hela Boujuns, making pit stops . Did not see the Nine Arch Bridge as advertised due to being the opposite direction. Train was 10 hours- it was long but a relief to know we had seating already booked and did not have to try and find places to sit. Once booked the ticketing coordinator contacted me via wattsap to give tickets, suggest good times and any updates needed- they were always available for easy communication which gave ease to the trip.

We booked our tickets through booking.com after a lot of research. Geesara was very accommodating and we had excellent communication throughout. We opted for 2nd class reserve seating. This meant windows were open for optimum views but we had the comfort of a selected seated, and safety having our luggage stored in front of us. Geesara had the train tickets delivered to out hotel thr day before and checked in to make sure we were happy after the journey. We thoroughly enjoyed it and although it was a 7 hour trip, we didn't notice the time at all!

I used the company for a transfer from Kandy to Nilaveli. My driver Isiru was absolutely amazing showing the sights en route and he was driving very secure and safe. Thank you for a fantastic service!
