One of those once in a lifetime things you’ve got to do!
Lakpura organised our tickets and our drive from Negombo. Everything worked like clockwork and we were at Colombo Station in plenty of time. The train ride was everything it’s cracked up to be! Relaxing, bumpy, beautiful - arrived into Ella and all its beauty 9 hours later.

          Deep in to budhism....
We were here in a private tour, all info about budism(theory and practice) were well received, we spotted the people doing prayers&ofrandes, learned not to do pictures to people/tourists in front of budha(!).We saw the famous sacred elephant(mummified). After all a religious experience for the non budhist.

Service with a smile and constantly available on WhatsApp
My flight was delayed in Dubai and May 2 I contacted Sharon they amended my itinerary and pick me up later. The Same Day without any problem they are available on WhatsApp any enquiries they get back to you within an hour. I definitely recommend this company. I have used them for my last 3 to 4 visits to Sri Lanka from the UK.

Great jeep safari in Yala National Park
The driver who met us at the port and took us to meet the safari guide was great. The safari guide was skillful in finding the animals for us to see. We were extremely pleased with the experience from beginning to end. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Sigiriya & Minneriya with young kids
Amazing trip. Very well organised by Mahesh and the team. We did three day trip to Sigiriya Rock and Minneriya National Park with 4 kids under 5. Mahesh organised the whole trip plus car seats and our driver looked after us the whole time. Would definitely recommend.

Kandy .. A must too destination
I am sure it is amazing however having already done Siem Reap etc etc Just about templed out.. The roof however when it shone across the lake was stunning but was shadowed in our opinion by the turtles, Huge Bats, Monitors, Cranes, Egrets Monkeys and Kingfishers in the most amazing TREES surrounding the lake which you can walk around for free... just saying that's all... definitely go here if you can :)

          Nice ride through the countryside!
Train ride through the beautiful Sri Lankan country side. Only downside is the cost of tickets and we found them difficult to get. There were 4 of us (2 adults, 2 kids), our seat numbers were not together, but as the train was not busy we swapped seats, so it worked out.

          Wild Elephants :)
Our guide was fantastic, very observant and we were lucky to see crocodiles, elephants :) and lots of birds. On arrival it was very busy and lots of 4x4s crowded together, mostly empty which was sad as we could have shared vehicles and reduced the traffic. However, once we got properly into the park it was much quieter and barely saw anyone else. Lovely picnic spot by the river and the baby elephant made me happy

          Amazing Views
The train is beautiful, clean and has different classes. If you go jn a not hot time, I recommend you book 2nd Class reserved seats instead of 1st Class. This is because, in 2nd Class, you can open the windows and peep outside the train. Also important is that all doors are open in 2nd class and you can hag outside while train is moving(fun). In 1st Class only two doors are open and windows do not open because of the aircon.

Temple of the tooth relic Kandy
This is a very holy place for Buddhists hence it is a must visit for religious reasons, however as a tourist you may not find it worth the money as the temple and important items in the temple are closed and open only for certain intervals of time. When we went around noon everything was closed and we saw scores of pilgrims waiting for the temple to open . As a keen tourist I had nothing much to see except for the external temple building. Additionally the walk from the ticket counter is a short walk however in the scorching sun you may burn your foot as you have to remove your foot wear before entering the temple premises. If you don’t know the correct time when the temple is open then you may want to rethink before going in.
