We just came back from the 9 day tour in Sri Lanka, it was a honey moon trip covering 4 major cities in the middle and south coast area (kandy - nuwara elliya - ella - mirissa) and it was a wonderful experience! All thanks go to our tour guide, Vimukthi Kollure or Vimu for short. His professionalism, politeness, kindness, knowledge, punctualtiy, flexibility, and patience are a rare find. It was very easy to communicate with him and he was an integral part of the trip. We fully recommend this tour with this company and make sure you ask for Vimu!

It was an amazing trip! The guide speaks very well English and gave lots of information to the different sights we visited. He is well informed and pleased to answer questions. Our tour was also adjusted according to traffic and weather prediction. Thereby we were able to see everything we wanted to. Thank you very much :)

I fouded them on TripAdvisor. Everything was great from the start to the end. All clear and understandable. Our driver Vimu was very helpful, ready for all our demands etc. We were able to make changes in our trip and there was no problem to do this. I would definitely recommend this service.

I would not book with this company and support this owner because of the way he treats customers and his drivers. We booked Lakshan from Hikkaduwa taxi service through Whats App based on good reviews. Through our texting Lakshan said he would “most probably” be our driver which was reassuring because his English is good. However when we arrived he wasn’t our driver and this was not advised in advance. Our driver had very limited English, which was not ideal but manageable. Later, when we questioned why Lakshan wasn’t our driver he said that he is the company manager and that he would “never” be the driver. The major problem came when we sought advice from Lakshan regarding the last leg of our journey, because it was beyond the scope of our drivers English. This was perceived as a complaint which led to the following: • He repeatedly and aggressively demanded immediate payment, despite our agreement to pay at the end • Lakshan threatened to take our passports • He called our hotel manager, trying to get them to take our passports • He threatened to call the police • He was verbally abusive • He invented a series of increasingly bizarre fantasies; including accusing us of intending to give him fake USD at the airport • Despite the fact we were due to pay the full amount at the end of the trip, he refused to accept a compromise of 50% payment, with the rest paid at the end. • We went from having zero contact, to him being agitated, irrational and demanding premature payment. We couldn’t make sense of his behaviour, it seemed nothing short of bullying and harassment. We checked with the hotel manager who said you don’t pay for the drivers upfront and under no circumstances to give him our passports. This went on for several hours before we were finally able to find a resolution. Although we wish our actual driver all the best, it is important for people to be aware of the unacceptable behaviour of Lakshan; as a result I would advise against using Hikkaduwa taxi service. Make sure you are clear about what you are looking for when you book a driver, even if that means sending a lot of questions. Make sure the payment arrangements are agreed in advance, so that you have it in writing.

I booked a taxi to take my wife from Hikkaduwa to YalaNational Park and had everything confirmed at a very reasonable price. Two days before leaving my phone was immersed in water and wasn’t charging, so in a panic, before the charge ran out, I sent a text to explain that I’d be using another number and inadvertently put the wrong date. On the day, obviously the taxi didn’t arrive and so I phoned and tried to change it. I was panicking as we had a safari booked for lunchtime, but the organiser sorted out another car for me as quickly as possible and Sudesz, the driver, arrived very quickly considering the short notice. He was extremely courteous and we arrived in good time at our destination 2.5 hours later, in good time. Thank you so much to both of you. I cannot recommend you highly enough!

Unpleasant experience with our driver who kept falling asleep during our trip. then he just looked at his mobile the whole journey. I was terrified.

The trip was excellent. Lashan was a good guide. We could change the length of our trip and locations. We could discuss the details in whatsapp before the trip. I would recommend taking at least 7...10 days for seeing the whole island. 3..4 days is not enough. We drove around in a very clean airconditioned Toyota van.

We had an excellent trip with Lashan showing us the amazing sights of Sri Lanka , He was a friendly , knowledgeable and very flexible with our itinerary. He even arranged a lastminute request to see Sri Lanka play an international cricket match, what an experience! Lasham took great pride in his vehicle .We particularly enjoyed hearing snippets of information about the way of life in the past and as it is today.The tea plantations , Galle Fort, and Ella were our highlights along with the view of Lion rock.Thanks to Lashan for our Sri Lankan cricket shirts ..what a holiday we had !!

We had a fabulous time with Lashan on our 9 day tour of Sri Lanka. He planned all activities and hotels for us, from visiting tea plantations, to afternoon tea, to safari, hikes and more. A very safe driver and very knowledgeable about his lovely home country. My dad was ill for some of the trip and he bought some medicine for him and was really accommodating to our changing plans. Nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended. A great and memorable trip! Thank you, Lashan.

We stayed in Sri Lanka for 8 days and wondered how to structure our trip - I was very happy to discover Hikkaduwa Taxi service. They were very helpful in scheduling a trip and adjusting the agenda the way we wanted to have it. Our driver Pubudu was great and he went above and beyond to make sure we have the best time - and indeed, there is nothing that disappointed. Definitely recommend!!

Our recent trip to Sri Lanka was entirely organized by the Sri Lanka Round Tour Company and it was an experience worth sharing. Initially, I was skeptical about the authenticity of the company and the cleanliness of their vehicles, but I was proven wrong the moment we landed. Our driver Vimu was waiting for us at the airport with a placard displaying our names, which was a nice personal touch. The sight of the sparkling clean exterior of our car was reassuring but what truly dispelled my worries was the immaculate and pleasant smelling interior, thoughtfully stocked with water bottles. Vimu was an epitome of professionalism, he was always punctual and dedicated towards making our trip comfortable and enjoyable. His restaurant recommendations were spot on, they catered perfectly to our palate. What we appreciated the most about Vimu was his calm demeanor; he was always ready to engage in a conversation when initiated, but he was equally comfortable in his own company. He was exactly the kind of person we were hoping for. Lashan made the perfect trip for us. We visited lots of amazing places in Sri Lanka. He truly can make your trip one of a kind. As soon as we arrived at the airport our driver Lahiru gave us a warm welcome giving me flowers and a Hawaiian necklace to my boyfriend. Our van was equipped every day with water for us and Lahiru was very professional and helpful, always asking for our needs and trying to provide everything we needed. Ha was super friendly and always with a smile on his face. If we saw something along the way that we liked he would stop for us and let us check it out. This was truly the best trip of our life and we will come back for sure. Thank you Lashan and Lahiru for making our experience unforgettable!
