We had the most wonderful time! Our guide, Pratan, made the trip, and we learnt so much along the way about the landscape and local farming. The homestays had gorgeous views over the mountains, and the food cooked for us was divine. there were also no other tourists around, so it felt very authentic and special. A very relaxing few days in the mountains - thank you!!

Had a fantastic 5 days with Active Thailand. 3 day jungle trek - our guide Tan was brilliant. Home stay accommodation was basic but comfortable and food was very tasty. You do need to be fairly fit, and ready to sweat a lot! We then did a half day cycle and visit to the sticky waterfall with guide Three - also excellent. Final day was white water rafting, which was fun. Two nights at the Cocotier Resort, which was lovely. Active Thailand organised everything and made sure we were well taken care of. Very happy with our trip and would highly recommend using Active Thailand.

Absolutely fantastic day and I highly recommend G-ing as a guide - so knowledgeable and so lovely. We loved the cycling and kayaking.

Had a fantastic time hiking with Tan. He shared his knowledge of the area, peoples, plants and animals. We saw mountains, jungles, farms and sunsets. It was very peaceful. All 3 days seemed just right, with the longest distance on day 2 and delicious food throughout. If you are looking for a unique hike, requiring some fitness, that takes you on a little trail through the mountains this is it. I would recommend wearing long pants (not shorts) and regular running shoes with good grip - don’t bring a lot, just rinse your clothes at night. Tan will make you a hiking pole from a bamboo tree. Super wonderful!

Wonderful trip. Out guide spoke good english and gave a lot of info on culture and nature. The bikes were good and the lunch was goood

Great experience. The Guide explained us everything very well and showed uns interesting things about the thai nature and culture.The lunch was excellent in the nice Resort.

We chose this trip as we wanted a more strenuous hiking experience in order to get off the beaten track (as much as is realistically possible) and see lots of jungle, which we did :) we barely saw any other tourists or people during the trip, we stayed in a beautiful homestay on the first night and in a village on the second. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the plants and trees and was happy to answer any questions we had, he was also a great cook. Highlights for us were our picnic fried rice and the waterfall. The only downside was the that the hiking on the last day was just along a road/mudtrack, it would be great if we could have used hiking paths as we did on the first and second days. Be aware that the 'staying with the hill tribe' part included minimal interaction, they just own the accommodation. Overall a great experience!

My partner and I absolutely loved this 3 day trek with the incredible Mr Tan (our guide). The trek takes you through various stunning environments including jungle, farmland, woodland, waterfalls and forest. We found the walking to be the perfect level of difficulty whilst still being able to soak up the scenery and enjoy yourself. Mr Tan’s knowledge of the area, the plants, animals and the local tribes that inhabit each area is nothing short of remarkable! We learned so much from him and he is a lovely man with an epic sense of humour! The home stays are authentic and offer the most incredible sunrise and sunset views over mountains. Not one other tourist or group was spotted throughout the trip, which makes it even more authentic and special. This trip was definitely the highlight of our 16 day stay in Thailand. Really nice and beautiful tour! Very delicious lunch! Would really recommend. Not too hard, but the terrain is a bit unstable - but in a fun way

Very nice trip with guide Khun Sap. We had nice hike around and Khun Sap explained the different plants and we tried various leaves. Lunch was freshly cooked and we all got a fresh coffee or tea. The group of 6 was mixed and we all enjoined the day (27.12.2022)

Awesome experience cycling, hiking and kayaking in the National Parks outside Chiang Mai. Great host in Tri, great mix of activities and great accommodation

Our trip to Thailand included a 3-day mountain trek in Chiang Dao and this was most definitely the highlight of our holiday. The trek was certainly challenging, especially on day 2 with a steep climb down and then a steep climb up in the afternoon, but the experience and the views were well worth it. Our guide, Sap, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a great cook! He showed us so much and was a fantastic guide. I think we were lucky in that it was just my partner and I on the trek, so it really was a personal guided tour. The villages we visited and the homestay accommodation were in the most spectacular settings and we saw some great sunsets and sunrises. The heat and humidity were tough, especially for us Brits and there were a few moments when I doubted I could do it but it soon passed and this trek is all we can talk about! If you have any doubts, don't! Just do it, you won't regret it.

The tour was pleasant. A driver picked us up at the hotel and brought us to the start of the hike. The hike was very interesting. All along the tour, the guide explained us things about the vegetation and made us taste fruits and plants. The lunch was very good with the possibility to eat vegetarian. The hike is not very long, exactly what we were looking for.Thank you very much for the tour.

Zak is a great guy, he knows a lot and it seems to be a pleasure for him sharing his knowledge with the group. We saw beautiful landscapes and had a nice walk and bicycle ride. Lunch and transport was fine. We loughed a lot and had many moments of smile. Recommendation! Thanks Zak !!!
