          AVOID KALIMPONG AT ALL COSTS
This is for Kalimpong only. Kalimpong is a disaster of a place. It is overbuilt, crowded, polluted and garbage strewn. Ugly RCC buildings built ad hoc crowd the town. The infrastructure is abysmal. The town has some cement deer sculptures as you enter. these are surrounded by garbage, one even had a packet of garbage attached to it's ear. The best restaurant (recommended by Conde Nast) faces underground parking and a mount of mud. We had to cross a pile of garbage, broken road, honking cars and climb this mound of mud to get into the building, by which time i'd lost my appetite. The people of Kalimpong need to desperately do something about their town. You cannot possibly be blind to the filth around.

A great tour across central India
Amazing trip overland from Mumbai to Delhi. It was full of amazing UNESCO sites, history, culture, beauty, and so much more. Basically Agora put everything together for me allowed me to adjust the itinerary however I wanted and were quick to reply and very fair in pricing. I had a driver the whole time and he was great. I would highly recommend Agora if you are planning a tour in India. I hope to use them again.

          Definitely a bucket list item
Travelogue diary Leh to Nubra. Our day started early with our awesome tour guide and driver Shahid from Jammu. We left at 8am to drive through the Himalayas, The highest motor mountain pass Khardungla pass at 17 982 ft above sea level. We needed to carry an oxygen tank and take medication to accommodate the thin air. The views were majestic, snow on the mountain range and the gorgeous stark beauty of Mother nature. Our sight seeing included a 14th century Buddhist monastery in the mountains, camel safaris on the sand dunes and quad bike riding on the dunes. The natural streams were crystal clear. The architecture in Leh has intricate wooden carvings on all windows and doors. It's a by law. A definite place to put on your bucket list

Incredibly Flexible Company - Custom Agra Tour that Met our Exact Needs!
We had very specific requirements to fit a Taj Mahal/Red Fort tour into the middle of a packed vacation schedule, Agora Voyages came through for us with flying colors! The company's manager, Shashi G, is unrivaled as a tour planner...excellent communication and coordination. Shashi stayed in constant contact with us for five months before our tour, understanding all our requirements and answering all our questions. He arranged our driver from Delhi to Agra, contracted a great guide for the Taj Mahal/Red Fort tour, reserved train tickets for us to meet our next tour, and advised us on where to get the best currency conversion rates. We were met at Delhi Airport at 6:00am by Shashi and met our driver, Ram. After a pleasant 3 1/2 hour drive to Agra, we met our guide Sanjay and headed to the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is simply a must see "bucket list" site. The structure is massive and the view from the main entry gate is very moving. Our guide, Sanjay, was extremely knowledgeable about Taj history and lore, giving us a greater appreciation for this amazing landmark. We proceeded to the Red Fort, where the sultan who built the Taj Mahal was imprisoned by his own son. The Fort was a big surprise, much bigger and more interesting than we expected. There is lots of interesting architecture and plenty of beautiful rooms and secluded niches to explore. The view of the Taj Mahal from the Fort ramparts is breathtaking. Again, Sanjay brought the Fort history to life, giving us the context to appreciate a period of history we knew little about. Finally, Sanjay and Ram, took us to a Agra Train Station to catch our train to our next tour. Sanjay made sure we got settled into our compartment with our luggage. This was a five-star experience and we're recommending Agora Voyages to anyone who wants to travel in India. Top-notch!!

One-of-a-Kind Trip to Aurangabad, Ajanta, and Ellora Cave Temples in Central India
Fantastic Trip!! Agora Voyages did an awesome job running our tours and accommodations, and we recommend them to all our friends considering travel to India! The Ajanta and Ellora Caves are “must see” gems in central India. For us, it was well worth the added time to our trip to travel to Aurangabad. Agora Voyages are unrivaled as tour coordinators...excellent communication, coordination, tours and accommodations from beginning to end. The pre-trip experience was tremendous! Agora Voyages manager, Shashi G., contacted us immediately after we booked the trip through Viator to gather all our arrival details, address any special requirements, and answer all our questions. He stayed in constant contact during the five months before our trip to make sure everything went smoothly. He even helped us get train tickets to facilitate our arrival in Aurangabad because we had unique schedule requirements. During the trip, Shashi made sure we knew who would meet us at our arrival point and checked in with us and our guide to make sure everything was going smoothly throughout the trip. The Ajanta/Ellora/Aurangabad tour was exactly what we hoped for...unique, interesting, captivating, and thorough! Our driver, Hamid, met us at the Aurangabad Train Station around noon and settled us into the Lemontree-Aurangabad, an extremely nice hotel near the airport. The Lemontree breakfast buffet was great and we ate all our meals in the hotel restaurant, the food was excellent. Our guide, Inder, met us for our afternoon tour thru Aurangabad city. We went to the Aurangabad city caves, the beautiful ½ scale Aurangabad “Taj”, and the local museum on the city’s history. All these sites were very impressive and whet our appetite for the amazing sites to come. (Note: Aurangabad, being a less visited city had several people interested in getting a picture with a foreigner, since they don’t see many. We had several people ask if they could either take a picture of us, or with us. It is okay to politely decline, but if you are okay with it, they are thrilled to get a picture with a visitor). Day two at the Ajanta Caves was simply breathtaking! These Buddhist temples were carved into a mountainside around a beautiful valley and must be seen to be believed. The amount of work and skill required to dig out the caves; carve the innumerable sculptures, columns, and alters; and paint the incredible murals in the caves is unimaginable. Inder was so knowledgeable on all the Buddhist art and lore that we were spellbound during the 4+ hours we spent at Ajanta. The many temples, together with the backdrop of the beauty of the river canyon with lush green trees and a waterfall at the end of the valley was a sight to behold. We thought the tour couldn’t get any better, then Inder and Hamid took us to the Ellora Caves on day three. The massive cave-temples at Ellora were also amazing. The site has Jain, Hindu, and Buddhist temples carved into the mountainside. There are fewer temples here than at Ajanta, but the Ellora temples are much larger, and are more diverse due to the different religions represented. The enormous Ellora Temple is so big that pictures don’t do it justice. You have to see it to believe it, especially since the temple was hand carved from a single rock. Inder kept us mesmerized with the history of these amazing structures and the meaning behind their religious importance. On our way to the airport (our tour was packed into 3-days, but our flight out was late in the evening so we had some extra time on the third day), we made a short stop at the impressive Daulatabad Fort, a very large 12th century Muslim fortification. The fort is huge and surrounds a small mountain with numerous battlements that go all way to the mountaintop. There is a lot to explore here and plenty of sensational architecture including a mosque and a Hindu temple. We wish we would have had more time to go all the way to the top. Overall this was a “five star” experience from beginning to end. Top-notch management, unmatched guides, great accommodations, and spectacular, “bucket-list” venues. We recommend this trip to anyone that wants a unique India experience.

          DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS
First and foremost, the trip was amazing. The darshan was excellent, and since it was Ganesh Chaturthi, I believe most people were busy with home preparations, resulting in minimal congestion on the roads and at the temple. DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS -- and avoid Rajgurunagar cut. I started from Pune around 7 AM. Being new to the city, I relied on Google Maps, which unfortunately led me through several incorrect routes. The journey from Bavdhan to Chakan took an hour as it routed me through internal roads. The major setback occurred when it directed me from Rajguru Nagar to Chas-Kaman Dam, Naiphad, and finally Bhimashankar. This internal road was in poor condition, barely 20-25 feet wide. While the road up to the dam was manageable, the stretch from the dam to Naiphad was essentially a walking track, hardly 10 feet wide and very steep. As an experienced mountain driver from Garhwal, I have encountered many hilly roads, but this was not even a road. I am sharing this to advise everyone to avoid this route. The correct route is: Pune → Chakan → Manchar → Bhimashankar. The video in this review from from Manchar Road so u can guess the size of the road u will be driving. Additionally, having driven extensively on highways across India, I must caution that if you expect this to be a highway drive, you should adjust your expectations. The 120 km journey might take around 4 hours, as 80% of the route consists of single roads and Pune traffic. Only 20-25 km of the route, from Manchar to Chakan, is a highway. For the rest of the journey, you will be navigating like an owl

          Wonderland Kashmir..
It was a wonderful tour to Kashmir. Nature is filled with all the ingredients to call it ' Heaven on earth '. And the timing also was very good coz we experienced both tulip and snow. We stayed in Srinagar ( including 1 night in house boat), Gulmarg, Pahalgam. The tour was organised by ' Northwind tours and travels' and must say it was organised so nicely by Mr Sumit Adak( contact no.9083096975). He has taken care of everything right from the Srinagar airport. All the hotels arranged were really good.

          Lingraja Temple, Bhubaneshwar
We visited during late evening. The temple is always crowded. A very big complex, it is. We did some pujas ( A priest helped us & also provided some information as a guide ). The distance where you are stopped and the deities are placed is much more - you need sharp eyes actually. The temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Shiva. The very tall central tower, adorning Kalinga architecture. The temple is one of the oldest in the city ( more than 1000 years old ). There are so many temples and halls inside the complex. A bit away on main roads you will find a local market - full of fruits and vegetables. Delectable.
