About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- bobwT4389XG0 contributionsEcuador and the GalapagosOur trip was special from the first day to the last. The accommodations, restaurants and activities arranged by Cuenca Bestours were all first class, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our guides were Lincoln and Sebastion and they were both wonderful to travel with. They were knowledgeable, pleasant and informative, and gave us insights into the history and culture of the areas we visited. They were always punctual, and both were safe drivers (a big plus with me). I certainly recommend Cuenca Bestours's services to anyone planning a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos.Written June 4, 2024
- Traveller1001Uk0 contributionsGood value tripWe were looking for something that was good value for money on the Galapagos- not an easy task!! However we booked this and really enjoyed it. Two different snorkel sites and three walks, all accompanied by a great guide who helped us by translating to English. We paid $45 each. The tour included Las Grietas and the guide paid the entry fees as part of our price. For us it was good value for money and a really enjoyable afternoon.Written August 18, 2023
- sergeb9200 contributionsWB Diving where are the safety measures?A boat with 14 people operating on one out of 2 engines in big seas, resulting in a shorter visit , promised of a second boat that never came a too long snorkeling session and arrival time back at 18.30 instead of 15.00. No safety briefing, life jackets used as pillows for comfort. Big seas making return trip very unsafe. This was with WB DIVING or Wreck Bay Diving in SSN Cristobal. Shame as visit could have been exceptionalWritten June 4, 2023
- Z7971LXchrisg0 contributionsBe carefulThe tour operator cancelled it two days before By all accounts we didn’t miss much we hadn’t already seen thoughWritten April 24, 2023
- Ryan G0 contributionsGreat trip to Seymour with kidsWe had a great time hiking around Seymour Island and saw quite a few animals up close. Our guide gave us tips to take a great picture. We also loved snorkeling at the beach and saw a sea turtle on the beach then snorkeled with it close by. The beach was beautiful. The crew on the boat takes great care of you and the snacks and lunch were deliciousWritten December 31, 2022
- travelswithkidsSoCal0 contributionsExcellent Introduciton to the Galapagos! We really enjoyed this tour of sites near Puerto Ayora. The naturalist guide was very informative and seemed genuinely interested in sharing his love of all the wonderful animals and plant life that make the Galapagos unique. We were delighted to get up close with huge male marine iguanas, resting black tip reef sharks and beautiful blue-footed boobies.Written December 28, 2022
- michellebsf0 contributionsBeautiful and well organised tour+ The whole tour was very well organised + The excursions were adventurous and the guides told a lot the nature and animals. We especially liked las Tintoreras and las Grietas. + The selected hotels were clean and central. - The organiser spoke almost any English and never asked us how our tours or transport was when we met her again. - Island hopping is a bit of an exaggeration as you only visit Santa Cruz and Isabela. The TripAdvisor description says La Loberia. We thought it was in St. Christobal, but it is La Loberia on Santa Cruz.Written June 24, 2022
- Milena D0 contributionsWARNING - Do not use this agencyWARNING!!! Do not use this agency. We booked this trip well in advance and based on the dates that they had available just to have it cancelled the day before. This messed up our entire plans. They should not offer day trips that are not confirmed. We spent two days on an island unnecessarily.Written June 9, 2022
- lisasX426EG0 contributionsGreat TripThis was the first thing we did the day after traveling >24 hrs to arrive to the Galapagos. It was the perfect activity since it was half a day and we were jet lagged. Our guide was Manuel, and he was knowledgeable, funny, and spoke to us in English after explaining things to the rest of the boat in Spanish. We saw blue-footed boobies, sharks, sea lions, and marine iguanas. The highlight was Las Grietas, which was extremely beautiful cold/refreshing water to snorkel and see fish. I'd recommend having good shoes that can get wet and also hike on dirt/rocks (like keens or chacos) since there were a couple spots where we got out of the boat to walk to a site.Written July 29, 2021
- savytraveler777890 contributionsDo not use this companyWe booked this tour before arriving at the island. From the pictures and the description it seems like you are getting a nice boat. When we arrived, the boat was a different one than promised. Communication with the company is not the best and they are not very responsive. The snorkeling equipment provided was not the best. We do not recommend you book with this company. Please take a look at all the bad reviews and you will see this is a reoccurring theme with the company that goes back years. The guide was not the best at all on the boat, he barely spoke English. They also charge you so much more booking online. Just wait until you arrive on the island there are always so many options.Written July 28, 2021
- S5321TDpaulm0 contributionsNot the best experience with this companyPlease make sure to read the other reviews. They promise you something and then you get something completely different. They also charge you way more than if you were to wait and book on the island directly with another company. As another review mentions, they also charge the locals way way less than they charge you online for the same exact tour. BEWARE. I was just on the island and I ended up going with another company since the boat was a very small boat as all the other reviews mention. The guide was also not the best. I recommend you book with another company or wait until you arrive on the island.Written July 24, 2021
- eliasibrahim0 contributionsTerrible Experience with this companyMake sure to not book with this company. They promise you a boat with a bathroom and then the boat was a very small boat that was dangerous to take out in choppy waters. It of course did not have a bathroom. We booked an English speaking guide and the guide barely spoke any English and he complained to the entire boat that he would have to also explain the tour in English and not just Spanish. They blamed us for being 40 minutes late to arrive on the island. But it was actually the same company's ferry that we booked that was late to arrive to the island. We recommend you do not book with this company at all.Written July 24, 2021
- dannydN9975SW0 contributionsAwesome, looking forward to returning. We were there in August of 2018. I could not reflect the date.My nephew and I had a nice time at Darwin's Observatory, the turtles were amazing. I highly recommend walking through this park and the out on the rocks that line the shoreline behind it. Scuba diving was awesome, I went out on an older wooden sailboat in excellent condition for a wonderful 2 tank dive. We saw a number of native fish to the islands, Hammer Head Sharks and other specie's I had not seen before. Food was awesome, especially if you enjoy fresh right from the boats freshness. Hiking was great too. You were able to crawl through lava formed tunnels and walk through them too. The sites on the island were amazing. Great surfing, we caught some really nice right breaks. Waves were awesome to to big to ride. Down hill skateboarding was a treat on really smooth asphalt roads on challaging hills. Tent a bike and really your the island and beaches. This was a great trip, spent a week in this island looking to go back and sport fish and dive some of the other islands real soon.Written October 13, 2020

- marcosz8400 contributions👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Hi Travellers! This is Joel. I am finally at home! I am from New York and I spent last week in the Galápagos Islands for the holidays and I am so happy to start this year after this incredible trip. Ecuador is amazing, the nature, community, the landscapes are out of mind! I was there with my family and we enjoyed so many activities with a smart, funny and friendly tour guide! I recommend BM Tours to everyone who wants to enjoy this beautiful country. They provided to me all the information about what I should bring and do. Thank you BM TOURSWritten January 7, 2020
