About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:

- Relax247398428560 contributionsStay away - Ferry tickets GalapagosWe bought ferry tickets on Galapagos through bm to secure a place on the ferry for the specific day and time. Nevertheless, we experienced not being listed on the lists for the ferry, and that it was rather luck that there were a few free places left. When we called for help we got no answer. These tickets only created stress and problems. They have also not answered our request afterwards. Stay away, and instead buy directly from the ferry companies. It is both cheaper and easier.Written July 16, 2024
- knygard0 contributionsA peek beneath the surface of this bustling cityI had a day layover in Guayaquil, so booked the 3 hour tour. Jaime was excellent. His English was good. He was smart, knowledgeable and patient. He's a retired pilot and now an artist by hobby. He took us to notable paintings in the museum and to sculptures outdoors. Naturally, we also visited a beautiful cathedral, an old neighborhood, and the famous Iguana Park.Written August 26, 2023

- lorrainehB3965ME0 contributionsEnjoyable tour showing the highlights of the cityWe were impressed with our guide's, Corina, knowledge of the city and her English skills. Plus, the fact she self-taught herself in a total of three languages. We enjoyed our tour and gave us a good layout of the city. We felt very safe.Written March 6, 2023
- JDMCo0 contributionsA Fantastic Day Tour Around Guayaquil, EcuadorA wonderful way to learn about and explore Ecuador/Guayaquil. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and infinitely patient with our group of 7. Our tour covered the dry jungle where we saw howler monkeys (and dodged mosquitos in our mosquito nets and DEET), mangroves (on a long, canoe-like boat) where we saw a multitude of bird and other wildlife, and a visit to a working Cocoa farm/ranch where we learned all about growing, refining and finishing chocolate. The lunch served at the Cocoa farm was fantastic local fare, including a ceviche to die for! Highly recommended.Written March 4, 2023
- Matthew W0 contributionsAmazing tour!!! Jaime is the best!Jaime was an incredible guide and he took extra time when we had questions. This was our first tour in ecuador and he really made it special! The cacao farm was amazing and we got to try fresh chocolate with raw sugar and it is my new favorite way to eat it! Thank you for an amazing tour!Written February 16, 2023
- jchaslip0 contributionsAn enjoyable experience. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They were very concerned about our safety. The lunch was decent and plentiful. The tour operator included snorkeling equipment and wetsuits which many of the other agencies charge extra for. Our only complaint was the office was closed when we went back to return our equipment?. Still would recommend and be sure to pack your sunscreen.Written February 13, 2023
- zimdar0 contributionsGreat visitMy wife and I joined Jaime Bolaños for a trip from our hotel in Guayaquil to the farm. Jaime was quite informational about Ecuador and the surrounding area on the trip out there. Once we got to the farm, we saw cacao plants and how to extract the cocoa beans went through the whole process of eventually making our own chocolate bars. We then had a delightful lunch on site. The whole adventure was a wonderful day. Jaime Bolaños made it much more enjoyable with his discussion going and coming. I recommend that Jaime. Ask for Jaime to take you.Written February 10, 2023
- Laura M0 contributionsHighly recommend!Wonderful experience! Hymie, our tour guide, was outstanding and made us feel safe and well cared for in our first venture to Guayaquil. Our river/forest guide Carlos did a great job spotting wildlife. Hacienda Cacao Y Mango was delightful and so enjoyed Jamal our guide, the delicious lunch and the emersion chocolate experience. Have already raved about the tour and recommended to friends. Would have liked more detailed info about the tour upfront but so glad we went.Written January 27, 2023
- Christacb0 contributionsWould go Again! The meal provided was local and delicious. During COVID the family learned how to make recipes and new uses for their chocolate. They’ve done an incredible job and it was so fun seeing all the beautiful plants and learning about cacao and chocolate making.Written December 8, 2022

This tour is a MUST DO if you care about ecology amd want to know more about plants, insects, and animals in Ecuador and how they create a sustainable biosphere. Our guide and teacher, Eddie, brings incredible knowledge and passion about Ecuadorian ecology to life. I learned more about symbiosis, even in my own country, than all the botany courses had taught me.

This tour was a great experience. We learned so much from our guide, and I regret that I cannot remember his name. After visiting the grand park with him, I would definitely stay in that part of the city should I ever find myself is Guyaquil again.

I had booked this tour with Ecuador Tours and Packages in advance of our planned arrival on board the Island Princess. Approximately 70 hours prior to our scheduled arrival, we were told that the ship would not be able to get into the port. I sent an e-mail to Ecuador Tours explaining the circumstances. They refunded all of my money. Thank you to them.

Jamie is a GREAT tour guide. The City and Historical Park tour was fantastic. First, we went to the Malecón. I had walked along it the previous day; so, we went in the opposite direction. Jaime is well versed in the history of Guayaquil. After a superb time walking upstream of the river into an old colonial part of the city, we went to the Historical Park. That too was superb. Throughout the entire tour, we moved basically at my pace, with me taking a lot of pictures everywhere we went. A tour that was supposed to be 3 hours turned into about 4.5 hours. Jaime never seemed to be in a rush to get me back to the hotel. As I said, GREAT tour guide. I recommend him very strongly.
