Makarska Riviera and was by and by tourism since the mid-twentieth century. Makarska is a tourist dominated town, center of the famous Makarska Riviera. She is known for its beautiful sandy beaches. Today it is a city with more than 15,000 inhabitants, the picturesque villages comprises Biokovo; the least of which is the name of Makarska. The Makarska Riviera includes the villages: Brela, Baska Voda, Krvavica and Tucepi. It is an object with a good tourist infrastructure.

The mountains, among which is one of the highest in Croatia, dividing the continental characteristics of Zagora from the Mediterranean Sea, one of the finest in the world. There are sea, small islands and hidden beaches, wild rivers and quiet rivers, the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean and endemic species, deep lakes and still unexplored riches of underground caves.
