Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- E6639VPdavidb0 contributionsGreat tourOMG, the tour was soo amazing. Especially in this october warmth too. The only downside is the long wait at the border, to and from. Wasn't rushed either, so u had plenty of time to look around.Written October 25, 2024
- Departure486868396800 contributionsGreat experience and value! We were picked up right by our Airbnb. We had a great tour guide with lots of history and information during our bus ride. Everything was efficiently arranged, and we had plenty of time to see the sites.Written October 7, 2024
- J8183FBannak0 contributionsMostar trip from CavtatWe had a very nice trip there we learned a lot of Croatia and Bosnien from our guide Carmella. Kravica waterfalls was a nice place to visit. In Mostar old town our guide walk us through the history in a nice way , it's a sad history. We recommend you to take this trip.Written October 7, 2024
- N6624XDpaulinet0 contributionsGreat day out with good hosts!!We highly recommend this trip, our drivers and our guide were first class, informative. kind, and helpful, the whole experience was very memorable, Mostar was great, waterfalls amazing, downside was wait at border control and a long day but worthwhile to put up with that as trip was worth it. - rodericp2110 contributionsA day in Herzegovina !A well-organised tour booked through Viator, the day begins very early - 6:00am pick-up in Cavtat and Dubrovnik. A luxury 45-seater coach took us for the whole day with informative and friendly guide Maria. Bosnian border crossing from Croatia was speedy and efficient in only 20 minutes for the whole party (stayed on the coach). Then a couple of hours’ smooth drive to Mostar (we learned about much of the complex history of Yugoslavia, the Civil Wars, Bosnia and Croatia on the way. We spent 3 hours in the mountain valley town of Mostar with an informative guide Johnny and after 1 hour were free to roam round the Old Town - easy to navigate: several main cobbled streets either side of the famous Old Bridge. Plenty of souvenir opportunities and hearty Bosnian food in the many restaurants. After lunch back to the bus for an hour drive to Kravice Waterfalls - the Iguacu of mainland Europe - a span of around 6 cataracts overall several hundred metres wide and 25-30 metres high. The falls are accessible via concrete steps and railings about 100 metres down/up or a more leisurely roadway. The falls deliver water into a lake which is suitable for swimming. The way back to Dubrovnik is via the Neum crossing from Bosnia and took about 2 hours in total. All in all, about a 12-hour day, but an enjoyable and well-run tour.Written September 12, 2024
- Pompeytel610 contributionsBook via Michael by Cavtat MarinaMichael appears to be the only way to book a trip to the waterfalls and Mostar tour from Cavtat. But don’t be put off he is very accommodating and knowledgable. We were staying just up the road from Cavtat and he arranged a car pick up from our apartment which met the main coach further up the road. Another couple also picked up by our car which confirmed how well organised the pick ups were. The falls are unbelievable but don’t be fooled by the optional €10 entry fee. You need to pay this else you can’t see the falls. But it’s well worth paying as you have the falls and a few cafes at the bottom to enjoy a cool drink or 2. We opted for a well earned i ice cream from the girl there which was also very cheap. Mostar is amazing too, our guide was exceptional. He grew up throughout the war with Serbia and his take on it and knowledge really brings it home how horrific the times were. Hopefully everyone gets him as their guide as he pulls no punches and we noticed a few times he had to pause to take a breath as he was emotional in his delivery. Our only downside was the return trip. Unless near to Dubrovnik where the drop offs were the same as pick ups, with cars waiting, we weee just dropped off at a bus stop with no cars waiting. We only had a short walk (1/2 mile) back to our apartment but the other couple had a few miles to navigate. Also be aware there is a compulsory charge of €3 per person to cross the Bosnian border. So take some cash, ideally €13 per person for the falls and Bosnian border charge. Well worth the visit thoughWritten September 10, 2024
- Keeling540 contributionsA great day out.We did this as a private tour with three others in a mini bus. 7am start from Cavtat, through the border crossing in around 5 mins, arrived at the waterfalls before the crowds. Spent a couple of hours there, swum in the lake, and had a drink, then back in the bus and off to Mostar. An hours drive, and we were at Mostar. A really nice old place with lots of history, the genocide museum is a must. Had lunch at Kaldrma (see my other review), then back to the van for a couple of hour trip back to Dubrovnik. All in all, a great day out. Our driver and guide was called Disco, a real character, very knowledgeable and very funny.Written September 1, 2024
- 382eveh0 contributionsGreat experienceGreat experience our guide Sandra did an amazing job and is a very kind person! Very well organised by company. You stop at a gas station before we cross the border but bring tissues as no toilet in any of the stalls!!! Apart from that which is out of company control I have no faults for the trip! Would use this company againWritten August 13, 2024
- Angela M0 contributionsBeautiful MontenegroTrip got off to a start as when we were advised we could not be picked up near our accommodation, the arrangement was we would be collected at Cavtat Bus Station. I always like to be early so we were there over hslf an hour before the pick up time. (,in a very bad storm with torrential rain). It was getting later and later and we were becoming concerned but thought the delay was due to the weather or they had cancelled the trip. I tried contacting the company and then got a call from the tour guide asking where WE were as we were not at the pick up point! She argued that they were at the Bus Station and we weren't. Language barriers did not help so a local taxi driver assisted us and spoke to her, telling her that there was only ONE Bus Station in Cavtat and we were there! A mini bus with a few others then came and picked us up to then join the main coach. We were made to feel we were in the wrong and had held everyone else back which was not a nice feeling. It was also annoying as to reach the main coach we actually drove past our apartment. However after a hitch at the border when someone had to leave the coach as they did not have a visa the only issue was the weather. We could not leave the coach for a while at Kotor because of the heavy rain. It eventually dried, and although it cut our time short, (nobody's fault) wnd we had a wonderful trip. Kotor is stunning as was Our Lady of the Rocks. We did not have much time to explore Perast due to lack of time with the delays but had a nice walk beside the water. Despite the bad start to the day I would highly recommend this trip and encourage people to go.Written August 1, 2024
- Excursion5399690 contributionsNot worth itDon’t go on this trip. You will spend hours on the bus. We spent 4 hours at the border for no reason. The bus has no toilet. Ridiculous! Very little info provided by the tour guide about the area. Disappointing! Kotor is interesting but not worth the money or the hours waiting.Written July 30, 2024
- susanhV6122XF0 contributionsBAD ONESorry to have to write this review but was So upset with Trip. Whole experience that I Do Need to make others aware. I suppose it may depend on who you book with and who they book with. We booked in Cavtat alone the front with a Man Called Michael. Bit of a character. We had been on another trip booked with Him to Mostar Kravice Waterfall. This was a long trip but we'll worth seeing the Waterfalls. So we booked again with Michael for the Montenegro trip. 85 euros each but he said it does include a lovely meal and drink!!!. Please see the photos I have included. Long fast walk from coach to Rickety boat to begin with. Seen much better days. No commentary on the trip to Boka Bay could have been anywhere. Spoke to tour guide( forgot her Name) and she started showing something on a board!!!. This was a shame as it looked lovely. Suppose to visit islet church and museum which we did for 20mins. Church small. Big ques so did not have time to actually go in!!!. Got off boat and walked Kotor where we were suppose to have a 20. To 30 min tour with guide!!!. Then 2 and half hour free time. NO Guided tour. Given map and told to get on with it!!!. Had to report to Michael as we then had to buy our own meal as an extra cost of 20 euros each!!! And was Very dissatisfied. He did say that He Had Had Other complaints about this tour and was Not going to use them again!!!. I wondered if He would. Could Not deny once photos were shown. The food was for 4 Adults. The toilets were just a joke. Light went off when door closed. I fell over tool box.(never hurt myself luckly. ). Tour lady didn't want to know. Another guest did Trip up when getting off boat as there wasn't a proper departure plank!!!. Michael did give me 20 euros back. Half the cost of meals. He wanted me to send photos to Him via WhatsApp which I have been trying to do since May. Could I just let others be aware tgat other people were paying different prices for the same trips!! So be ware.Written July 15, 2024

Long day (pick-up from the hotel in Cavtat at 6 a.m. and return at 8 p.m.) but very interesting.
During the trip, the guide "promotes" the places to visit and gives a short lesson in the history of Bosnia-Herzegovina and relations between Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks.
The waterfalls are a heavenly place and swimming is for those who are less cold (water at 16-17°).
Mostar is a magnificent city, it's a shame that it is so difficult to navigate the streets because of the number of tourists.
I highly recommend this visit out of season, when there are fewer tourists and the temperature is lower.
The food is excellent but the 3 hours are a little tight to really take the time to eat and visit the city.

We booked the 7 person tour so we were in a smaller vehicle which was very comfortable. Important because you are spending quite some time travelling.
Lora, our guide was a very competent driver and was also brilliant at telling the story of her homeland. As you will know, a complicated story, which she was able to convey clearly. She also picked some really nice photogenic spots to stop along the way.
The Kravice waterfalls are well worth the visit and if you have time do take a swim. The entrance to the pool is very stoney so it’s good if you have footwear you can use. Also changing facilities are limited (there are toilets).
Mostar was a real surprise - very hot but well worth a visit our guide Johnny gave lots of really good insights into the history of Mostar including a great explanation about the bridge jumpers and we actually got to see some of the jumps.
We also opted for the Turkish house visit although Johnny preferred the title Bosnian house.
He also gave us a really good tip at the end of the tour that we should pay a couple of euros at one of the mosques to give entry to a courtyard overlooking the river where we got some brilliant photographs of the famous bridge.
Top tips.
Do not forget your passport. You will be passing through at least three border controls

Remember to take euros with you as many places will not take credit cards

Drink plenty of water

Don’t forget suncream

It is quite a long day added to which we were the first to be picked up which didn’t help. We went for the small group tour and we travelled in a very modern mini bus.
Maria the guide explained the countryside we were travelling through up to the Bosnian border. She was very informative and explained in detail about the war, why it took place and the after effects. Driving into Bosnia she told us about the history of the region and again how they were effected by the war.
At Mostar we were met by a local guide who took us through the streets and across the famous bridge.
We went in peak season so expected it to be busy but it was heaving with people which made it difficult to get anywhere quickly. It was 38 degrees and we had 2 hours to look around. This wasn’t really enough time to have lunch and shop.
We did however buy the ticket for the Turkish house which is small but beautiful and only 2 Euros if you want to do it yourself.
Mostar will accept Croatian Kuna in the tourist areas or Euros if you don’t have the local currency.
We then travelled to the Kravica waterfalls which we were looking forward to. We pulled up in an enormous car park and it was packed with tour buses and cars. This was mid afternoon and very hot. To get to the waterfalls you have to climb down hundreds of steps which also means you have to climb back up them!! I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues .
The falls are absolutely beautiful but it was so busy there was nowhere to sit or even put down our bags. We had a paddle but didn’t swim as we only had an hour so grabbed drinks at one of the many cafe/ bars. I think out of peak season it must be a wonderful experience.
All in all I’m pleased we did the trip, we saw so much of the coastline and countryside. Mostar is magical and so are the waterfalls however in peak season it may be better just to have more time in Mostar without the waterfalls.
Maria and her driver were excellent and very professional.

To start,do not believe the start time if travelling from Cavtat. Even though it clearly stated an 0700 pick up from our hotel,it was 0600. We were on the small group tour. The guide was friendly and organised. On the way she suggested we had a bit less time in Mostar and a bit more at the waterfalls. As no one on the bus knew any different we went with the suggestion. I advise if you do the tour, have longer in Mostar and a lot less at the falls ( see comments below). We thought Mostar old town was lovely with a lot of history and the guide was very informative. However,he walked so far in front of the group that at times we lost him in the crowds of people. But,by the time the tour finished, and a quick lunch,we had to rush back to the bus giving no time at all to investigate the town further. We arrived at the falls, which are fantastic. But the beauty of the falls is totally spoiled by the bars, restaurants , loud music and people doing the conga to make it worth spending more than 15 minutes there. In summary, travel very well organised, but given the length of the day,13 hours, we would not recommend this tour unless you are much, much closer.

Long but very interesting day.
Got pick up from the hotel at 6:00 and got back at 20:00.
Our guide, Maria, was full of information and told us about the history and present of Bosnia and Hertzegovina, Kroatia and times in Jugoslavia before it broke down. The waterfalls were amaizing and city of old Mostard beautiful. I can highly recomend this activity for your holiday.

A must do! Simple as that! We were staying in Cavtat. Pick up was easy. 15 people on the tour.
Everyone from a different nationality but a really friendly group. Your guide was spot on, just gave you the good stuff. Easy border cross now the new bridge is there. The waterfalls are stunning. Take your trunks as you can swim! I had to go in my boxers as couldn't resist. They’d dried off before the bus as it was that hot. Mostar is the perfect place for lunch after and a really unique town. Really recommended!

We had had a very disappointing tour experience to Montenegro a few days earlier from the same company, and nearly cancelled the Mostar tour.
We are so glad we didn’t! It seems if you get lucky with your guide, then it just makes the whole day.
It was a long day - we were one of the first pick ups at 6am, then one of the last to be dropped off at around 8 (to Cavtat). However the day flew by. Our driver (his name began with P, but we forgot exactly what it was) was smily and very safe, and seemed happy every time we came back to the bus happy!
We also got lucky with speedy border crossings.
Our guide Maria was awesome! She gave an interesting and relevant running commentary on and off for most of the journey. We learned a lot about Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, politics, religion, the economy, local industries, and left feeling like we really had an understanding of the history of the region. She also shared lived experiences, which made everything feel very real and in context.
The waterfalls were busy and touristy, but beautiful- had a dip in icy waters and a great iced coffee.
Mostar was lovely- the old town very pretty and great architecture. It was also very busy ( we went in peak tourist season) , but we took our guide’s recommendation of what foods to try and ate downstairs in a place called Urban- we had a full meat sharing course with 5 different traditional dishes, a traditional salad, amazing bread, baklava and traditional fig bread for dessert, and some local wine and Bosnian coffee. The view from there was beautiful, everyone very welcoming and friendly, and it was also cool and misted with water spray!!
Be prepared for a long day, but it was great.

Dear reader,
We are interested in booking this tour, but we have a question regarding the identification to cross the boarders. Is it possible to cross the boarders with an ID card instead of passport?
Kind regards,
Emmanuelle

Hi
We were told to take passports, but the tour operators should bd able to confirm if your ID cards are accepted.
