We communicated with Vivian prior to our travels and she and her assistant Erica were responsive, organized and helpful. Crystal was assigned to be our guide and she was friendly, kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about the history of each site that we visited. There was one site that was not in the original itinerary and was requested by one of our travelmates at the last minute. Despite this, Crystal was able to talk about the place in detail even without much preparation. She and her assistant Selina were also very patient with the group, despite our slowing down the pace with our requests for picture taking. The one thing that needed improvement were the drivers assigned to us. Their driving skills are good and they are prompt but they are not as friendly as should be expected from someone working in the service industry. I think transportation services are given by subcontractors. Suggest that drivers should be briefed on proper attitude and behavior prior to a tour. Overall we had a great time during our Luoyang, Dengfeng and Kaifeng tour! Will not hesitate to recommend Authentic China Travel.

I wrote a review couple of weeks ago but it does not show here. Dont know why !! Anyway, in summary, I really do recommend Vivian to anyone who is going to Luoyang grottoes. We did not book our tour earlier. On that morning while on the train from Beijing to Luoyang, we contacted Vivian and she finally managed to get a transport around Luoyang for us. Great Service.

We got to Luoyang in-between Beijing and Xi'an, on an overcast and sometimes rainy day. Because of the limits imposed by time and weather, - besides the financial reasons, - we only asked for a driver to take us to the Longmen Grottoes and the White Horse Temple. Authentic China Travel cooperated, and accommodated this minimalist request. We got a nice driver who did not speak English, but was knowledgeable about our schedule, and willing to communicate about meeting points and times with sign language and writing down "14:30", for instance. Vivian also offered to help with translation through phone, if needed, but it was not needed. We enjoyed our visits to the two sites, plus our lunch, and were dropped at the train station, as requested. The car was new, clean, and comfortable, with lots of legroom.

Vivien was a fantastic guide. Organization prior to the day was efficient and very helpful. The day was excellent. Very informative and good company too. The driver was very safe and helpful. Lunch was delicious freshly cooked food. The sites of Longman grottoes and home of kung fu were amazing to see and Vivien led us through these at our pace and taught us so much. Definitely recommend the trip the company and the guide Vivien. Thank you!

I had wanted to see the Longmen Grottoes and found the company on trip advisor. I wanted an English speaking guide. Vivian, my guide replied my emails really promptly. I was traveling from Xi An and she offered to also help me book the train tickets for the trip. I was met by Vivian at the train station in Luoyang and she and the driver were ready. It was a comfortable ride. She explained the sites in great detail. In addition, I also visited the Shaolin Temple. She also helped change my train tickets to an earlier time so that I would not have to wait at the train station for too long after the tour. Would highly recommend her.

Honam, Luoyang and Kaifung were the places we visited in Zhengzhou. Those are beautiful and significant historical places. We had an excellent tour guide.

Out tour guide was a great help to us. On our first night in the city our tour guide accompanied a small group us through the city and helped us learn more about the city. The sites that we visited were amazing, the Longmen Grottoes was one of the sites that we toured and our guide made it an enjoyable experience!

Vivian was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide when we visited Luoyang, during that part of our five weeks in China.

Very interesting tour but be warned lots of steps and walking involved. Hard to believe that this was done thousands of years ago.

Highlights of my tour to Henan were the Terracotta warriors in Xi'an, Longmen Grottos in Luoyang and the Zen Music Shaolin Grand Ceremony staged in Daxian Valley. The buildings in the provinces were very modern, and the two guides we had in Xi'an (Wendy) and Henan (Vivian) both spoke good English. They were professional, caring and patient ensuring that the needs of 18 tourists were met, not an easy task. The coach driver was very careful and skilful, always smiling. I was one of the travellers from Singapore of a private group tour of 18 persons guided by Vivian Zhang for 6 days. It was a wonderful, memorable and enjoyable trip. This was possible due to Vivian's good coordination and guiding skills/ expertise. She was always accommodating, helpful and has a pleasant disposition. She has a good command of English and excellent knowledge of Chinese history. Good sense of humor and beautiful smile! I co-ordinated and led a private tour group of 18 pax (aged between 50 to 80) to Henan recently and had the privilege of having Ms Vivian Zhang as our Tour Guide for 5 days. Vivian displayed a high level of professionalism in her work attitude. She was knowledgeable, clear and precise in her deliverables and yet patient enough to repeat whatever she said when approached. She was opened to suggestions and feedback and worked constantly towards improving situations to cater to the requests and needs of the tour participants. Armed with excellent inter-personal skill and a ready smile, she proved to be a "hit" with the more senior participants. The ability to put my group in the very capable hands of Vivian allowed me the liberty of enjoying the trip tremendously too. If I have the opportunity, I would have no hesitation about working with her again.
