- 936jannaf0 contributionsWonderful views and very unique experienceTogether with my husband and our friend, we did the sunrise balloon tour and it was a very wonderful experience. It was very well organized and spontaneously available on the next morning when we requested the tour on the day before. The pilot was very kind and experienced and the views (up to 500 m high) of the karst mountains in Yangshuo were amazing and provided a great overview of the entire area. The flight was about 1 h long. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yangshuo :) thanks again for this great trip!Written November 20, 2024

- tangenjm0 contributionsGreat guide and arrangement.Great experience. Helpful fluent in English and very knowledgeable. Great stuff in short. We also added the silver cave with a minor add to the cost.Written September 14, 2024
- M4962QVmanishk0 contributionsA let downThe scale is grand and backdrop unique. I liked the lighting and colors. However the show tries to pack in too many different things and the performances don't have an impact given large distance away from performers. The language and music is also not something that most foreigners will be able to appreciate. I would keep this activity only if you have ample time. Passable.Written September 8, 2024
- GoPlaces037508204250 contributionsThe tour was incredibleThe spots were incredible and really beautiful. The driver was friendly and helpful. Just only drawback was the restaurant he selected for lunch it was dirty restaurant and the food was bad. But rather than that I enjoyed this tour and 100% recommended .Written September 8, 2024

- NiccoloSacchi0 contributionsTour with a private driver rather than a guide, disappointingWe booked a private custom tour for 6 people with Andy who assigned another guide for our tour. The guide had a good level of English, however: 1) he was more of a driver than a guide since he explained close to nothing in all the places we visited (including the Guilin romance Park: he just brought us to the theater and out, without showing us the park which is actually decently big), 2) we finished 3 hours earlier than planned due to weather conditions so we did fewer activities and the guide had to spend less time with us, but we got no discount, 3) we provided our feedback to Andy and we literally only received a "Oh" as response.Written June 1, 2024

- 448lindseyw0 contributionsAmazing Views with a Great Guide!Andy was a fantastic guide! His English is superb and he is fun and easy to be around. We went to places we never would have known to find otherwise - and they were incredible. We also had a couple of instances of group members leaving items behind and both times Andy went to coordinate and get the items back. We enjoyed our time with Andy and wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with him in the future.Written May 16, 2024
- D8454FQnicolek0 contributionsIndividualised day tripWe had a lovely day, the guide adapted the tour to our wishes and needs - for example taking another hiking route that is less frequented and making a stop at a tea farmWritten April 26, 2024
- feelionIre0 contributionsA perfect day in YangshuoWe arranged a private tour with Michelle, and the experience was beyond words. Michelle spoke flawless English, provided abundant information, and guided us through the main sights. We enjoyed both a scenic boat cruise and a bike tour, with Michelle patiently snapping countless photos for us. We savored a delightful traditional meal at a charming café. Our day couldn't have been more perfect. Additionally, Michelle went above and beyond to assist us in booking tickets for the Beijing hidden city, handling every request with utmost helpfulness. We can't thank her enough and highly recommend both the tour and Michelle as an exceptional guide.Written April 26, 2024
- Henry I0 contributionsGreat day out in YangshuoJackie spoke good English and was very flexible. He knew exactly where to go and which photos to take. He made all of the ticketing and admin seamless. He even bought our ice cream when we couldn’t get Weixin to work!Written April 2, 2024
- bipingaur0 contributionsGO with AndyAndy was an amazing tour guide. Always on time and always smiling. Full of energy and enthusiasm. He is knowledgeable about the places, but he never inundates you with too much information. He lets you enjoy the sites silently and only adds great relevant points to the conversation. He took a few very good pictures of us with his camera and shared them. Thoroughly enjoyed time with him.Written December 22, 2023
- paulorJ6784WJ0 contributionsExcellent private tour in YangshuoI visited Yangshuo region with Andy Lee. First stop was at the unique Xianggong Hill viewpoint, a mustsee place in China. Then we went to Xingping old town and 20 RMB viewpoint, made the bamboo boat cruise in the Yulong and, in the evening, went to the Impression Sanjie Liu show in Yangshuo. All these places are magnificent and worth the visit. Andy is an excellent guide, I had a great day. Highly recommended!Written November 14, 2023

We thought we had run out of time to visit Ruyi Peak, but at 4pm we decided to make a dash for it. We booked a Didi and arrived at the Ruyi Peak ticket office 35mins later. Thankfully there was no queue and 2 mins later we were in the cable car..amazing! In an hour we were able to reach the peak, walk to and across the suspension bridge, stroll along the bridge with the glass floor, take photos and catch a cable car back to the carpark. A 2 hour round trip would probably be needed if we'd attempted to visit earlier in the day but at 430pm all tour groups had left 😁. We weren't able to find a Didi at 530pm, but there were several cars available to negotiate with for the trip back to our hotel.

Wished we had spent more time there, allow for at least half a day. The view from the peak was beautiful. Buying charms and hanging along the bridge was a novelty but the red charms make photographs beautiful. Highly recommended.

**Note: We did not purchase our advanced tickets through this tour group - I am posting here because there is no other attraction listing for Ruyi Peak, which is relatively new.**
**Warning: I would NOT recommend this attraction for people with a fear of heights. The attraction is all about walking on high areas between and along peaks with suspension bridges, glass and metal mesh walkways, and precipitous views!**
This attraction is a series of ways to get across and between a few of the peaks in the limestone karst mountain range near Yangshuo. It is relatively new, so not all that crowded, with amazing views of the surrounding mountain range. I would leave at least a half day to see all of the attraction, wear good shoes, and be prepared to walk a LOT of steps up and down and across! We came with a private tour guide and driver, who drove us from our Yangshuo hotel.
The attraction starts with a spectacular cable car ride (each car seats 4-6 people) up among the peaks to the starting area. Enjoy the views while sitting! When you exit, you walk up many steps towards a suspension bridge between two peaks - the red ribbons tied along the bridge for luck are lovely as they dance in the wind. From there, you climb up many steps to a platform with a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. From there, climb down many steps to a winding mesh/glass walkway through the tree canopy among the peaks. From there, walk down a ramp (with some fun figures of rabbits and pumpkins - they may have been for the Mid-Autumn Festival) and head towards a glass walkway along one of the karst mountains. From there, you walk back up steps to the gondola station. Along the way there are several shaded and comfortable places to sit and have a snack and a nice drink or ice cream - helpful in the heat and humidity! Anytime you will be walking on glass, they give you little booties to put over your shoes that you remove at the end of that part of the attraction.
Overall, I would recommend this for families and couples who are healthy and able to walk a lot of stairs comfortably in the heat and humidity. It was fun and well-planned with amazing views which we enjoyed!

We had a fantastic day riding the cable car and completing the hike around the mountains! It was made effortless with the help of Andy who collected us from our hotel, bought our tickets and collected us after the experience to return us to the hotel. He was incredibly friendly with great English and even stopped the car at Moonhill to let us take photos on the way home. Can’t recommend this enough!! What isn’t made clear from the description is that there are lots of steps to go up and down throughout the pathway once the cable car has dropped you at the top of the mountains! Just be aware it is quite physical but well worth the challenge!

This is a very well planned and operated attraction. Has great views over the limestone karst topography. The cable car is well organised and the layout on the top of the peaks allows for a comparatively relaxed and uncrowded experience. Allow three hours. Involves significant stair climbing so where comfortable clothing and footwear. The short show at the end is worth attending. There is no extra charge for it. There are lots of snack stalls and resting places around so no need to bring much. The prices were reasonable. No price gouging. We just arranged taxi from town and pick up. RMB50 each way.

The daily goal was not planned, but due to a book of photographs kept in the hotel room, we became aware of this.
We can recommend this destination for a day trip with great views during the tour.
As a special treat it turned out that in November and for us *oldies* per person only 110 yuan had to be paid for the day ticket; for the rides with the cable car and the overall terrain use we consider this to be a very cheap entrance fee.

Nice experience! Cable car back and forth, beautiful views over the karst mountains after about 20min climb with optional glass bridge on the way back (for those who dare!). Just a pity about the loud music on top - I'd rather enjoy it in silence
