          Worth booking!!
Loved this tour!! We rode around on a northern city/country loop! Roads were very flat and rideable and the scenery was beautiful! We stopped at many local houses to experience / support every day Cambodians! This included traditional way to make rice paper rolls, making rice wine, a dried fruit farm family and visiting a traditional Cambodian house, along the way was many sampling of food, snacks and my favourite sticky bamboo rice!! It did not feel like we rode 18km at all! Sotheara and Jenna were our guides they were very knowledgeable about the local area, accommodating, and looked after our safety while riding on the road the whole time!!! Truely good opportunity to get off the beaten path and experience some real local parts of Cambodia! Thankyou!!!

          Beautiful rice field ride
Had a wonderful experience with Soksabike. They were great at ensuring we had a great ride and shared lots of really interesting information. The highlight was riding through the rice fields. An excellent experience.

Great tour from Savith our guide
It was great to see the real live in Battambang. Our guide Savith was the best. He knew a lot and was so friendly. We saw nice things and enjoyed the visits at the peoples houses. It was warm, but we had enough time to stop and drink. Thank you so much Savith for this great morning.

          Fantastic experience!
Our guide Sophava was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable. His English was great and he was able to teach us a few things to say in Khmer. He taught us about the history of Cambodia because we had asked. We visited a married couple who make rice paper, a family distilling rice wine, a lady making banana crisps who was so friendly and accommodating, and lady making steamed sticky rice in bamboo canes. We also visited a haunting genocide memorial at one of Cambodia’s killing fields from the Khmer Rouge regime ending in 1978. This was all handled sensitively. At all times we felt safe and were given options. Water bottles were provided and we stopped for cold drinks and fruit refreshments where there were clean western style toilets. It is reassuring to know that whilst Soksabike support local makers, they are careful that they do not become reliant on tourism. It was one of the best days of our holiday. Thank you and keep up the great work!

          Great tour through Battambang
Visiting the families was a very interesting and new (at least for us) experience. We were learning new things about Cambodia and the Khmer people. The families were all very friendly and welcoming. Sokasabike and Savith did a great job picking a well organised route, that wasn´t too long. We had a lot of fun and would recommend the tour to everyone visiting Battambang!

          Best experience in Battambang
My day out biking and discovering local Cambodian culture with my tour guide Sophara was simply perfect. The bike ride is a nice gentle one, with many little breaks meeting local families, discovering their food business and tasting a lot of amazing things. Sophara was also very kind in explaining many things about Cambodian culture and food. Highly recommended.

What a beautifull experience this bycicle tour has been. Our guide Phalla told us about his country and the way of live of the Cambodian people. It was very interesting. I also love it that by making this tour Soksabike and us are giving back to the local families we visited.

Great way to experience local life
Great tour! Learned so much about local life and riding a bike was the perfect way to see the countryside and small villages. Got to taste many special treats and meet welcoming people. Pek was a very thoughtful guide who understood our needs and interests.

Culture & customs - a highlight of Battambang
We had an interesting half day tour with Phalla who was very generous with his knowledge as we learnt about local life around Battambang. We booked in person at their shop and Kanha was helpful to advise a half day tour, we appreciated this recommendation given the June heat we are currently experiencing! We wanted to ride a little further to explore some of the surrounding landscape and they helpfully adjusted the route. We had the right balance of learning about the local economy through various sellers and spending time with a practising monk. Refreshment stops were taken in local places away from the tourist trail and it gave us chance to explore off the beaten path. A highlight of our trip to Battambang which we will reflect upon in the future. Many thanks, Ryan & Ali

Getting know the locals’s livelihood on bicycles
A really nice educational and scenic cycling around, visiting local families houses and learning about how they learn their living. Pallah was a great guide, he guided us on the bicycles in a good pace and safely. He has an extensive knowledge about the tour and the history. He made sure our water bottles were always full so we stayed well hydrated. We visited also killing fields and Pallah gave us the full history background. Highly recommended!

Dont leave Battambang without experiencing one of soksabike`s amazing tours!
So, I live in Japan and ride a lot. Been to Cambodia quite a few times but first time in Battambang. I wanted to ride so I made my way to the Soksabike office where I met Kanha, the office manager. Told her what I wanted and listened to her suggestions. And next day I turned up at the office to meet my guide, Phalla. Learned so much about Cambodia and the local people from him- things that are not in the guide books- on our 50km ride. He gave just the right amount of information- not too much that you you wish he would be quiet- not too little that you think that he has forgotten about you. This is a difficult balance and he got it just right. He also answered all my questions (lots of them ) honestly. Watching him interacting with the local people I can understand why Soksabike are well thought of in the area. Great day! So later that day, back to the office to speak to Kanha again. I wanted to go to Phnom Sampeau to see the the bat caves etc. the next day- but not by tuk-tuk. The end of the year is a busy time but Kanha said she would try and work somethng out. She did! Next day back to the office to meet my guide for the day, Phal. And off we went, through rice fields, on small roads and tracks, before we got to Phnom Sampeau. From Phal I learned a lot about the countryside, the things they grow etc. As with Phalla, his interactions with local people were impressive. We rode (and pushed) our bikes up to the top of Phnom Sampeau and then down to watch the bats leave at dusk to feed. Then it was time for us to leave and ride back to town in the dark, under a full moon. On top of Phnom Sampeau I got to see Phal use his first aid training when helping a guy who had had a fall. And I began to realize that the guides don't just introduce Cambodian culture to foreigners. They impact local people in many positive ways. This was another amazing day for me. So, what can I say about Soksabike? BIKES-- quality, well maintained bikes SAFETY--good helmets provided- safety talk given before heading off- guides carry first aid kits GUIDES--knowledgeable-great English-fun to travel with. OFFICE STAFF--friendly, helpful with lots of suggestions on what to do, where to go etc. If you're in Battambang I highly recommend checking them out. You won't be disappointed.

          Fabulous cycling tour of Battambang!
We were picked up at a hotel right on time and taken by tuk-tuk to the bike shop. We were fitted with very good quality Trek bikes that were well serviced and very new. Our guide was very knowledgable about the culture and people of Battambang. We visited many different families that produced local food products and had a chance to try them . The people were all very warm and welcoming. We also got to try some rice wine that was very interesting. The biking was hot, but very enjoyable throughout the countryside. We would definitely not have been able to see all we did without this tour. Our guide Pol (Paul?) was exceptional!! Would highly recommend this tour to get a good feel of the people in the surrounding area of Battambang.

          Awesome experience!!
Worth every dollar! Amazing insight into traditional Cambodian craft and livelihoods. Sopheak was an excellent tour guide with perfect English, a lot of knowledge on the history and clearly very connected to the communities we visited. I had little experience riding a bike but the tour was easy, gear was new and we were accommodated the whole way with water top ups and snacks.

We took this tour as part of our Trailfinders package holiday. The bikes were first rate. The guiding was excellent, and we always felt safe. Interesting itinerary, and as it was the 2 of us and our guides, we were able to skip a couple of stops. Recommended.

I highly recommend booking a tour with Soksabike! I had a most wonderful day and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour. It was just the perfect mix of cycling, learning about customs and culture, meeting local people and learn about their produce and lives, sampling some delicious snacks and understand more about Cambodia‘s (rural) economy and the challenges the young generation is facing. The gear provided was excellent and only topped by my knowledgeable, professional and extremely talented guide. I am grateful for Pitou‘s willingness to answer all of my questions, his wonderful humour and great way to introduce me into the local families‘ homes. I felt expertly guided and very safe while cycling. I just love the concept of the tour and the approach the company has taken to tourism in the Battambang area.

Incredible day with Sophal my guide!
33km of cycling in total (very good quality mountain bike ++) interspersed with numerous stops with locals to discover their traditional know-how (making rice paper, rice wine, dried bananas, sticky rice). Lots of snacks!
We also stopped at a killing fields and a pagoda.
The landscapes crossed by bike were magnificent!

Such a great full day tour with Savith, my guide. He showed me little local businesses, explained a lot, tought me khmer language and I even got to help with rice paper and dried banana production thanks to the families. Such great people, so friendly. All along the road. The great thing about Soksabike is, that all the businesses get a part of the paid amount. Totally recommend this tour. 10 out of 10. Thanks again Savith!

This is an amazing experience! We were very grateful to have had owner Paul as our guide; he is incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful. The tour gives you the opportunity to visit small home-based businesses (rice paper, banana snacks, rice wine), cycle through the countryside, and enjoy a lovely home-cooked Khmer lunch.

It is hot in the dry season, but we had plenty of well-timed breaks to rest in some shade and purified water was provided so we stayed hydrated. The cycling route is well-chosen to stay on quiet and peaceful country roads that are safe for the not-very-experienced biker. The start and end in the city of Battambang involves crossing some busy intersections, but your guide will help you time your crossing properly.

I especially appreciated this tour because it was done sensitively and respectfully to the local people whose homes we visited. Our guide taught us to say hello and goodbye in Khmer, and every family we visited received payment. Paul knows all the people we are visiting well, and so the feeling is warm and relaxed. It is a type of community-based tourism that is anchored in the local community.

Great guides and excellent experience. We learned a lot and tasted local foods and wine and saw quite a bit of the countryside in the process. Thank you 2 Paul's for a brilliant day.
