        Connection with nature
The botanical garden has amazing fauna and flora. We really enjoyed visiting this beautiful place. It has no cafe or restaurant so be prepared for that. Tijuca forest was also very beautiful with waterfalls and a trek through the forest so make sure you wear proper shoes.

        Knowledgeable and helpful
Alexia gave us a tremendously valuable perspective in many aspects of the history and life of Rio: the complexity of the culture, political changes, and natural beauty. She was also extremely generous in helping me recover my wallet, which I left in the restroom of the Redeemer earlier in the day, by personally contacting staff at the site and giving them the information needed to find it (and giving me the information I needed to connect with them at that busy site). She was knowledgeable, warm and gracious.

        Do this tour!!
Wow, what a winderful day! This tour is a perfect way to get in the must-see sights in Rio if you’re on a bit of a time crunch. Peter our guide was such an amazing host, visibly proud of his city of origin, he took the time to really give us empassioned insight in the history and culture, pointing out so many fascinating points of interst along the way, with many an intersting back stories. Very highly recommended!

        Great time.
Tour guide very knowledgeable. He kept calling me Alex Supertrump even though that’s not even close to my name but it was great, it added a very humourous one to the trip. Thanks again P.

Peter and Andrew were a great team. Very much enjoyed the experience. Saw a lot of Rio de Janeiro in one day while travelling by an air conditioned car.

Lovelly tour over this colourfull neighbourghood
Had a lovelly tour with our guide Emmanuelle. She was very friendly and had a passion for Santa Teresa. Took the Santa Teresa train and walked down the colourfull neighbourghood of Santa Teresa. Great views over Rio and some very nice house, pity that some of them would have needed a fresh paint. Nice graffiti on the way! We walked down the Seleron stairs, way too many tourists to get a nice picture, but that was expected.

        Very basic tour of Rio
My tour company booked this tour for me, and I have to say I was rather disappointed with. The guide, while nice enough, gave very little information. It was more like 2 sentences on each spot, then drop us off and give us a pick up time. I would have been better off with a Rick Steves guide and the Hop On Hop Off bus. Bbq lunch was ok, but nothing special and in a weird location inside of what looked to be a gymnasium or something. They were rushing us so much I never even got offered dessert ( probably because we were late since the bus broke down in the morning and we had to sit around waiting for another). Overall an underwhelming experience.

Hectic but good way to see a lot in a short time
With it being high season, half of the day was spent waiting in lines. So that makes it hard to say this was a very good tour. On the other hand, you get to see all the big sights in Rio in one day so if your visit is short it is a good way to see things. The guide was knowledgeable and kept all his 'cats' together through many crowds.

        Somewhat frustrating
Our guide Emma was very nice. Santa Teresa is a gorgeous neighborhood but the tour was light on details. There were issues with transportation, with too many tour groups using the same van resulting in lots of wasted time.

I recommend going with a guide as it makes administrative issues much easier.
The tour included a stop at the Maracana and San Sebastian Church. Then stairs of Selaron and Christ. (The itinerary was the opposite but it was cloudy and the Christ was very obscured in the morning)
When we arrived at the national park where the Christ is, the clouds were very low, people left to avoid paying the entrance fee but the guide encouraged us to go up and we were able to see him! The clouds went away for a few minutes and we still enjoyed it. Yes, too many people, but it is only accessible with an entrance so it is a little safer.

We did a morning trip, pick up from hotel was on time , big minibus, guide very informative,
Christ the Redeemer was amazing, was as I expected and hugely packed with visitors, would definitely recommend going by minibus and not by train as the trains looked really packed solid.
We also visited Selaron steps again very very busy, and also the cathedral.
Whenever you visit expect crowds , didn't bother us as we knew it would be busy, but if you don't like crowds maybe a sunrise visit very early.
Highly recommend C2Rio and would use again on another visit.

I was able to book at the last minute for this C2Rio Christ the Redeemer tour and the 12:30pm start time for this 5+ hour tour for perfectly into put schedule. My hotel in the Copacabana area was on C2Rios’s pickup list. Most other tours started at 8:30am. The cost to value was spectacular and the tour included admission to Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Gondola ride up the mountainside. We also were excited to have an extra stop at Tijuca National Park, which afforded our group the most breathtaking views and photo opportunities of all. Unfortunately it was a foggy day and we could only see the outline of Christ the Redeemer and no view of the beaches below. This is why our tour operator spent the extra effort to take us on this additional stop to Tijuca National Park and make us all happy on this tour. Put group then stopped at the modern Catedral Metropolitana with its Christmas decorations. The tour ended with the Selaron Steps the day Argentina won the world soccer cup. Amazing day. I can’t say enough about the positive energy of our tour operator (Adig?) I didn’t ask him to spell his name and am sorry if I misspelled it.

One of my favorite tours: well organized, informative with a relaxed, very easy going and friendly guide fluent in both English and Spanish. The 1/2 day option’s a great value with tickets included to make visiting the Christ the Redeemer statue as easy as it can be. It’s a bucket list, you’ll be glad you did go place but also completely overcrowded even at 10am on an offseason Tuesday. Selarón steps were an unexpected, pleasant surprise too. I’m pretty well traveled and would recommend this one.

3 hour tour all in. Picked up and dropped back to our hotel by our guide who was friendly and knowledgeable. Comfy van and there was around 12 of us, so semi private. Both Christ and Selaron steps were amazing and definite must sees if in Rio. We had around 1 hour at christ so after picture taking, there is a small outdoor restaurant and bar to grab a bite and a beer. (Make sure you take a jacket, it’s windy up there!). Around 25 mins at the steps. It’s a busy tourist trap so keep your belongings close to you and don’t go past the mid way point of the steps. Plenty of little stalls to buy souvenirs or street art. A couple of cafes for a coffee/ water as well. Our tour continued to sugar loaf - we didn’t book that but could have paid directly if we had wanted to go. Definitely worth the time and the money :-)

Despite a delayed start, the tour was definitely worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable and managed lateness and tardiness of guests well. Christ the Redeemer is a must-do when in Rio and great for pictures. We also did the selaron steps, Sugarloaf and Parque Bondinho. A packed 4 hours and a bit of traffic as well as delays but well handled by the guide and driver. Would recommend.

Overall, a very good and easy way to see the Christ the Redeemer monument and the Selarón Steps. Included a guided drive through the Santa Teresa neighborhood and a quick stop at the pyramid church too. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in Copacabana, and our guide Talita was very good at maintaining the schedule, with some free time included. She gave the tour in English, Spanish and Portugese, so everyone was fully included. The transport van is very high quality, but the driver was way too fast on twisty and bumpy roads. Those of us in the back were launched completely out of our seats once, at which point we all yelled at the driver and he apologized and slowed down, so be sure to tell the driver to slow down the moment he begins taking the drive too quickly.

This is not to be recommended. They were 45 minutes late picking us up. We tried to call the phone number provided, but it only answered straight away. Went into the reception at the hotel for help contacting them, was then told that they are usually very late. Sent an email, it took them 2 hours to respond.
We were off 1 hour and 15 minutes behind schedule. The guide was not very good. He gave out very little useful information about the locations. Steer clear of this company if you can.
We had ordered 2 destinations either up to 5 pcs. This meant that it took 5 hours for us to visit 2 places we wanted to.

Dear Customer, We deeply apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during the tour. We understand your frustration with the delay in pickup and the difficulty in reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we are subject to delays due to havy traffic and the nature of group tours, where schedules can be affected by the behavior of customers on the first pickups, which, when delayed, impact the entire itinerary. Regarding the lack of information provided by the guide, this falls far short of our service standards and will be addressed with our team to ensure improvements. We sincerely apologize for any negative impact on your experience and appreciate your feedback, which will be used to enhance our services in the future. If there is anything else we can assist with or if you would like to discuss your experience in further detail, please do not hesitate to contact us. Best regards, Customer Experience Team

Our first day in Rio included visiting Christ the Redeemer and the Selaron Steps with our tour guide Jalbeir. The sites are beyond what we expected and Jalbeir helped make our experience memorable. He not only advised on the best spots for pictures but was so kind and patient. He also took us to see the mural painted by Kobra and provided us with so much information. He welcomed all our questions and we truly felt we were with a friend. We fell in love with Rio and gained beautiful memories.
