Rafa Rio Tours is a definite must if you’re visiting Rio! Rafa is an exceptionally wonderful host who really couldn’t have been more helpful and definitely pulled out all the stops for us in arranging a full day tour with her wonderful colleague Aloisio. Aloisio was so kind and considerate and took us to all the main sites of interest in Rio plus some more unique viewpoints. He also tailored the itinerary to our requests and nothing was too much trouble. His knowledge and explanations over the course of the day gave us such an insight into this amazing and breathtaking city. We enjoyed his company immensely and he made our first full day in Rio a very special and fun experience - what a start to our 10 days in the city! Later in the week we got to spend the morning with Rafa taking in Copacabana, Sugarloaf Mountain and Ipanema. As we anticipated, we had such a great time with her and she made our day together so fabulous and informative. Her love and knowledge of her city is infectious and wonderful to see. It was also great that we found so many common interests - particularly on the subject of travel! Thank you Rafa and Aloisio - unforgettable - and we couldn’t have asked for better more fabulous hosts!!

We were 6 of us travelling to Rio for 4 days. We sought the services of Rafa and she was excellent. She made a perfect itenery for us, purchased all the attraction tickets and had a trip of a lifetime planned for us. She spent 4 days with us and arranged all the places to visit. We recently undertook a 2 day private tour of Rio with Rafa. I'd highly recommend it. Rafa is firstly a lovely person, fun and very knowledgeable and easy going. Very happy to answer all questions. She is also interested in the country u come from which develops into lovely chats. Highly recommend for a good, safe, knowledgeable and fun overview of Rio. Rafa leads the tour but I noticed is also happy to divert if there is something the tour is interested in. Also her after service was very helpful and unexpected. She followed up with us and gave us tips for our other Destinations.

My wife and I visited Rio for a week in October 2022. We engaged with Rafeala to help us get an in-depth look at the city, its history, its sights, and the people that call this city their home. She put together a fantastic itinerary that first gave us an intimate look at their farmers market and we got to sample amazing fresh fruit and food products. A visit to the famous Escadaria Selarón steps was followed by a visit to the esoteric Santa Teresa neighborhood. Our first day ended at Christ the Reedemer. Our second day with Rafaela was also incredible with a trip to Sugarloaf followed by a visit to the botanical garden, and a walk through old downtown. Throughout the tour, she did a fantastic job in retelling the history, culture, and events that have shaped this city. She works with a driver Eduardo who picked us up from the hotel and provided for door-to-door service. This was an extra level of convenience that allowed us to focus on the tour. He was a safe, experienced driver and his vehicle was clean and comfortable. Rio is beautiful, complex, and chaotic. Rafaela has found the heartbeat that makes this city tick and she does a wonderful job of revealing this city's treasures to travelers in one beautiful layer after another. Booked a last minute tour with Rafaela. I wanted to visit sights in Rio with my children (teens). Visited Sugarloaf, Selaron Steps, Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio, Copacabana Beach and other sites along the way. Rafaela was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable of the all the sites. I strongly recommend her as a tour guide. She also assisted us with more questions we had a few days after the tour.

Rafa showed us the amazing highlights of Rio in a very easy and relaxing way. She organized everything and is very professional. We had a great time.

Rafaela was amazing and gave us a wonderful tour! We wanted to see some of the standard things and some non-standard. Rafaela was incredible and she gave us fantastic suggestions of what to see. She had great information about everything, including history and off-beat sites. She was able to tailor our tour and time to exactly what we wanted and to fascinating things based on our interests and was able to adjust on the fly as the weather changed. We were able to see everything we wanted and more! Rafaela also found us terrific food and extra things to see wherever we were. We had a wonderful time with our Rafa! We celebrated birthday of my friend on the day we had tour, amazing experience, starting from pick up to drop off back at the hotel. Everything is so organized, also gives some advices of restaurants e t c. She noted that we were celebrating birthday and unexpectedly to my friend she arranged a birthday cake, which she loved and was pleased. We had 2 tours with Rafaela full day of Rio and historical and old town Rafaela was superb well recommend . We saw all the main attractions and a few that we did not think we would see if you have time in Rio you should definitely book a tour you won't be disappointed .

Myself and my family enjoyed a full day tour with Rafa, as well as having her escort us from and to the airport at either end of our stay. Rafa is very knowledgeable and her English is very good - on the days we were looking for something to do, she also made some excellent suggestions which we took up. Will definitely be in touch when I come back to Rio!

We enjoyed a one day private tour with Rafa, a lively English speaking guide who loves her city and loves sharing it with guests. We hit all the major attractions and also indulged in one of the best all-you-can eat steak places as well as a subsequent ice cream store which was one of the best anywhere. There were 8 of us and she arranged a comfortable van. We found Rafa so worthwhile that 4 of us took a second tour with her the next day to see additional sights. The driver and vehicle were similarly very comfortable. Highly recommend.
