Great day! Sergio was a solid climber and clearly experienced. I have climbed a lot myself and he knew what he was doing. Highly recommend him and the crew.

We did the Christ the Redeemer - K2 and it was an amazing experience. My guide named Flávio was extremely helpful and patient. He was super calm when my bf left his harness, given my bf his harness(sorry about that) and led the climb with no worries, what a legend. He is extremely experienced and knows the ins and out of the crag. Will definitely have tipped more if we have extra disposable cash for this trip. Definitely recommend this company plus the customer service was great as they were very helpful in answering my inquiries.

Sergio was fun, friendly and a superb climber! I loved every minute of it and the views were amazing. We saw monkeys, lots of birds, and bees. I had never really climbed before, it was a great first experience. If you are thinking about it, just do it!

In September, 2020, I climbed the Travessia dos Olhos on Pedra da Gavea and K2 on Corcovado with Flavio Dalton. Flavio was a highly-competent climber and guide and full of great information about the routes and the history of climbing in Rio. He was super organized dealing with logistical and weather issues. It was nice to show up with the guidebook author as a slower party in front on K2 was more than happy to let us pass. It was refreshing to see how nice Flavio was to all the parking attendants, security people, national park workers, etc..He knew most of them personally too. All in all a great experience and plan to hire him again in the future to go outside of Rio on some longer climbs.

Together with Mauro, a climbing guide from "Compania da Escalada", I spent two fantastic days on Sugarloaf (Italian Route) and Corcovado (K2). Organised by Flavio, everything worked out fine. Mauro and Flavio are both a 100% professionals and nice guys.

Did two courses with them in the last years, both an overall introduction to outdoor climbing and one for leading. Both excellent, great teachers (David Ribeiro, Flavio and Cinthia Daflon, and others), all very clear and responsible. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my climb with Companhia da Escalada and if I’m ever back in Rio, I would definitely go climbing with Flavio and the team again. I went with them based on the strength of Flavio’s experience and the guide books he’s written. I was a little nervous when I realised I wouldn’t be climbing with Flavio. But there shouldn’t have been any need to worry. My guide was Victor and he was fantastic. It’s a bit scary when putting your life in someone’s else’s hands, but he built rapport with my quickly so that I felt confident and comfortable climbing with him. I knew he had me if I fell... which I did a number of times. The climb itself was great. It felt like we had the mountain to ourselves. Definitely the best way to get to the top of Sugarloaf.

All the instructors were really professional and chilled. I am not a particular sporty person but they pushed me to reach higher every time, in a very literal sense. Cynthia was also great in helping us organize the classes. Cannot recommend them enough.

I had a great climb with my 9 year old son and the instructor Flavio Daflon. He provided the equipment so we didn’t have to bring anything and he was great at motivating my boy. I made a short video of the climb which I was not allowed to put a link to, but I guess you can google YouTube and Axelia Larsen to find it. We climb the Coringa and was super lucky with the weather. My son loved the moneys he saw on the top. Excellent climbing guide! Will definitely recommend him!!

After I started climbing I seen the Christ the Redeemer statute and wanted to get to Rio to climb. My work gave me a business trip down there so I had to do this. I contacted Flavio and he helped me fulfill this bucket list item for me. He spoke great English which made this very comfortable, is a solid and safe climber with up to date equipment. I would recommend using them for your rock climbing lesson or technical rock climbing guide needs. A+ company.
