        An architectural tour de force!
Niemeyer's chef-d’oeuvres at Niteroi are simply majestic (both the Museum and Niemeyer’s Path.) The views on both sites are just amazing, The collection although small at the museum is nonetheless relevant and worth visiting. Camilo, a fluent English speaker, was the perfect companion for this exquisite tour. I strongly recommend adding this tour to your schedule, especially the architectural lovers.

        Location and another Niemeyer creation!
Niemeyer's futuristic shape is a landmark in museums. The red walkway symbolising red carpet and inclusiveness. There is a stunning view. The extensive collection is mainly from art collector, João Sattamini. It is the 2nd largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil. The museum is a definite must for the whole family when in Rio.

A visit to the futuristic contemporary art museum, located on an outcrop along the coastline in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro
The museum of contemporary art was a disappointment. The building designed by Oscar Niemeyer is quite eye-catching with its futuristic shape and idyllic locale overlooking the bay. What was disappointing was the poor use of the space for showing contemporary art, of which there are vast examples throughout Brazil. Inside the building was a curtain-covered interior filled with very little art, and I still don’t fully understand why. There was a free-standing art exhibit outside the museum. On the inside, there were six contemporary art pieces in a space that could have housed so much more. That said, the site is breathtaking, and hopefully, the art selection will improve, so do not take this off your list of things to see in Brazil.

        Excellent architecture
Located in the bay of Rio, beautiful setting with great views including the sugar loaf. Very interesting architecture, both outside and inside. The exhibitions are ok, but the real thing is Niemeyers architecture, definitely a top sight in the region!

        Quick refund
Given the effects of COVID19, we had to cancel our Wowtours of Sitio Burle Marx. We greatly appreciate our communication with Camilo and the quick refund. We hope that later this year we can take the tour. Thank you for your help. I am sure that it would have been a great tour - and that it will be.

10/10 Must Go- a perfect tour with Camilo
Visiting Sítio was a dream of mine. Camilo made it happen! And his English is great too! The tour also includes a little bag of snacks and a bottle of water. We had a good breakfast, so we saved ours till the trip back when we were hungry. He picked us up early and got us out of the city without too many problems with Rio’s traffic. As we drive, he told us about each neighborhood we passed through, and pointed out and named the mountains we passed by. He is super knowledgeable about the area! We arrived to Sítio early, just a bit before the first tour. The guide spoke a bit of English, but the tour was mainly in Portuguese. No problem, Camilo translated the whole thing. He’s been on the tour before, so he also ended telling us a few tidbits before the guide got to them. He also photographed the whole thing for us, and will share the pictures via google drive later. Sítio itself it truly amazing. This is one of the few places in the world where the genius of Roberto Burle Marx is preserved and on full display. The plantings are so beautiful, bold and overwhelming. The tiles, paths, plants, water features, and buildings are all incredible. I’ve studies Burle Marx’s work, so I thought I knew what to expect. What I saw was much Much more incredible than I thought it would be. This place is magical. On the way back to Rio we drove through a mangrove forest and by the beaches. It was a very beautiful drive. And interesting, because Camilo added a bunch of information about everything we drove past. There were 4 of us on the tour, and we were all amazed and super happy we went. It couldn’t have been a better experience.

Camilo rolld out the red carpet
During my first week in Rio de Janerio I scheduled 4 tours that I enjoyed: all day city tour, Tijuca by Jeep Rainforest/Botanical Garden, Santa Theresa Walking Tour & Camilo's Museums of Modern Art - excellent opportunity to visit Niterói & see some stunning architecture. Obrigado Camilo.

        Great Tour with Excellent Engagement
The Tours of both the Niteroi Way and Contemporary Art Museum by Niemeyer were exceptional. At each, our amazing guide Camillo worked with local artists in residence (and interns) to provide us with a unique viewpoint on the site. In addition, the younger generation was able to detail aspects of their history that they have learned and are not destined to forget. Very good tour and extremely positive experience for engaging with real locals. I would definitely recommend this tour for architecture and art minded patrons with engagement as a goal.

        Great experience
Camilo is an excellent guide.. The drive is over one hour from Rio centre but he made it interesting and fun, describing each of the areas and the history of Rio as we went along. The gardens are spectacular, a must for anyone interested in garden design, horticulture or who just wants to experience a uniquely Brazilian landscape. The drive back took us along the spectacular coastline south of Rio. Highly recommended!!

        Gorgeous place and excellent service
The place is worth the trip. Luscious tropical forest, beautiful scenery an interesting information to discover. Small groups and enough time to appreciate the gardens. It is far from the city (Subway + 2xBRT + Bus), so I would recommend to hire Wowtour to get there. Camilo is very kind and professional.

        Best Tour of Real Rio
Camilo picked us up at our hotel and began to customize our tour based on the places we'd hadn't recently visited. This, led us to feel that he'd taken us on an excellent tour of all our tours in Rio and that was of the Little Africa area of Rio de Janeiro and Samba City. It was fascinating and not something that we would have experienced anywhere else. We were all over and got such rich and heartwrenching history in 5 hours. We parked the car and walked the neighborhoods of Rio; visited Valongo Wharf where 1 mil slaves disembarked ships;the Instituto Pesquisa e Memoria Pretos Novos(the location of a "cemetery" where the remains of newly arrived slaves were discarded);Samba City (where we experienced Carnival); up Morro da Conceição (Conception Hill);the Forteleza da Conceição; Sao Francisca da Prainha Square to see the bronze statue of Mercedes Baptista the 1st Afro-Brazilian ballerina in the Theatro Municipal) where I attempted the same position; and the Hanging Gardens of Valongo. It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with Camilo. He's gentle, knowledgeable, and takes lots of pictures and videos to document your time and shares them with you. We have our own little documentary of the experience.

        Personalized tour of Rio
This tour that I had the pleasure of doing was a good mix of urban and nature. Going into the Tijuca Forest was a cool experience and the lookouts that I were taken to had breathtaking views. Mr. Sequiera was very personable, knowledgeable and had a good grasp of English. An added bonus was he took a lot of pictures and sent them to me so I had decent pictures with the sites and didn't have to worry about selfies. I would recommend this tour for anyone new to Rio.

Tomorrow’s museum is one of the most innovative places in Rio de Janeiro, the lavish architecture that comprises this colossus that has a strange shape resembling a ship, shows a very innovative air in the landscape of the port of Gloria of Rio de Janeiro. It is a museum that explains where we are and where humanity is going, it really shows us, a fixed point about how we are today and what will happen the next 50 years and the years to come. It is really worth visiting and becoming aware of what we are doing as a human species on earth.
