      10000% Worth It
Thanks to my guide Jacqueline I think I may have spent the best NYE of my life!! The experience started with a bike ride from our meeting point at Copacabana to Leblon. It was a gloriously sunny day and Jacqueline allowed me to go at my own pace; no rush or fuss. Then we parked our bikes and walked across the STREET to take our Moto Taxi up the hill. As a part-time thrill-seeker I was definitely up for this adventure and it was worth it. After the thrills, it was time for the serious stuff. Having not hiked in a while, I knew I had to take my time and I appreciated that Jacqueline allowed me to just do my thing. And although some manouvers were tricky - this experience was worth every ounce of sweat. It was an absolute joy for me. Definitely carry at least 2L of water or Gatorade/Powerade. Have an açai when you get to the top as your reward. Comfortable shows and cool clothing. And book with Jacqueline!! Jacqueline is incredibly knowledgeable and very passionate about showing people the beauty (in all forms) of her country.

      A great trip
A great trip with great guides. Me and my friend were really happy about it. We started the trip on a bicycle at Copacabana beach, then went to Ipanema beach. From there we went to see the favela. And then we hiked up two brothers hill and took a great pictures up there. I recommend this trip for everyone who want to hear more about the story of Rio and for everyone who likes to be out in the nature 😊

Great tour with a magnificent view
We were looking for great hikes in Rio and found this one on tripadvisor. Although not many reviews they have done a lot. We were picked up by the tour guide from the pick up point with bikes. Did a very nice biking tour through copacabana beach and ipanema beach. Went through vidigal (safe main roads) and started the hike. The hike is not difficult to do and offers you a awesome view of Rio. A must do when you are in Rio. For the more adventurous types I would also recommend the Pedra da Gavea hike!

      Amazing Experience
This hike was one of my favourite things I did in Rio. My guide, Jacque, spoke great English and knew the area well. There was a slight change of plan and she dealt with it professionally and without hesitation. Her energy was infectious and the hours we spent together passed in a blink. I can't wait to come back to Rio and do more hikes with her!

I took an afternoon trip with Jacqueline to Two Brothers - very positive impressions, informative, fun, good communication (I was trying to book very last-minute and it worked). Jacqueline is great at taking pictures in case you need some new amazing material for social media. Cycling along the beach is an amazing experience in itself. Obrigado!

      Fun in the Sun
A great cycling/hiking trip with Jacqueline to 2 Brothers from Copacabana Beach. From the day we arranged trip it was well organized & great communication. We did trip on 21 April 2019 .After a few km's of cycling along Copacabana , Ipanema & Leblon beaches , with a few stops for pics along the way , we headed through Vitalgo Favela with the locals on motorbikes , all part of the tour to beginning of hike. Apparently we did it in a record 45mins instead of 60-90mins , it's steep in places but manageable unless you really unfit. The views are worth the sweat though , we had a perfect day & absolutely stunning views. Some abseiling was happening from the top. Followed the same process going back & a really great way to see many parts of Rio & enjoy nature all at the same time. Very well organized & Jacqueline speaks very good English which is a real bonus in Rio.

      Great cycling + hike tour!
It was a great experience! Marcos is really nice and had a lot of knowledge about the places he took us. The variety of the tour was great and Marcos explained everything really well. We went cycling, we saw the facial Vidigal and we went hiking. This tour is really recommended!!

      Amazing Guide and Amazing Hike
This was my second tour with Jacqueline and a friend of mine in Rio. The bike ride along the beach was a pleasant 30 minutes and then another 20 minutes uphill along the mountain side. After locking up our bikes Jaqueline hired 3 motorcycles and we each hopped on the back of one and took the steep, narrow, winding road through Vidigal. This was my first ever ride on a motorcycle so it was a bit scary but exhilarating (Jaqueline told me later that the drivers go especially slow for tourists...and I'm glad!). This hike up Two Brothers was on a narrow dirt path through lush jungle. It was drizzling so the path got pretty slick and it was a fun challenge (my friend is 25 and I am 35, so doing this in the rain would be difficult for older or out of shape people). When we got to the top we were soaked and unfortunately it was very cloudy so we couldn't see the view. But luckily after sitting there for several minutes the clouds cleared and we had a great view of the city below (I've attached two pictures). Throughout the tour we had interesting conversation with the smart and funny Jaqueline. Afterward, at our request, she even took us to a traditional northern-Brazilian restaurant, which was cool and total above and beyond my normal expectations for a tour. I highly recommend!

Great experience and quite a workout
the tour begins with an easy bike ride though Copacabana/Ipenema. then we park the bikes and enter the favela where you can get a motorcycle ride to the top for just 5 Real (recommended). the favela looks a bit sketchy but it was so worth it and we felt safe experiencing it with Jacqueline as our guide. the hike itself was great too with great views, however they undersell the difficulty of the hike. you need to be in somewhat of decent shape to handle this climb. if you generally exercise you will be fine, but I would say its more of an intermediate level than easy. thanks to Jacqueline, I learned more about Rio on this tour than anything else we did. highly recommend!

« La vie est belle » avec Jacquie
First days in Rio for me & my super amiga ! We would like to discover Rio from an higher spot and by a dynamic way, then we found « Jacqueline » ! Our smiling and warmed guide along beaches by bike, in favela Vidigal and during hiking to the summit of Morro de los Dois Irmaos ! Amazing day (instead of the fog ;)) Obrigada Jacquie. beautiful and challenging
We are in our mid 60's and decided to do this tour because the description said it was easy to moderate. It was a little harder than we thought but there is a small group (I was told they don't take more than 4 at a time) so people that need it get extra attention. Our guide, Jacqueline was extremely nice and gave extra help to my wife who needed it as she had a little trouble with the more strenuous parts of the trip. The view from the top of two brothers was unbelievable and worth the hike. The tour ended up being a little longer than it was supposed to be because we went a little slower. We were not made to feel bad about that at all. Just know that if you are a little older and or out of shape it can be challenging to say the least but I would definitely recommend it. It was also very sunny and 90 the day we did this tour. I can't say enough about ho great and kind Jacqueline was

Fantastic Hike - Better Be In Good Shape
I had the best time on my bike and hike trip with Rio Active Tours. Biking through Copacabana and Ipanema was cool. Be ready to be in Brazil's biggest favela, which can be a little sketchy at times. The hike is gorgeous, but strenuous. Definitely need good socks, shoes (or hiking boots), plenty of water, camera, and be prepared for sore legs the next few days - but worth it! The views from the top were stunning, and there were plenty of other people there, so never felt unsafe. Whereas you take a motorcycle (or van) half way up, you walk ALL THE WAY DOWN. Need to be able to walk downhill over rocks, tree roots, and steep embankments, as well as steep steps thru the favela. I made it all the way, but I was POOPED once I got back to my hotel. Our guide was super nice and accommodating - he let us rest on the way up due to my lack of mountain conditioning. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want a good dose of physical activity, beautiful views of Rio, and a little adventure in your life....

Views unlike any other touristy-place, a thoroughly enjoyable and easy hike, plus exciting bicycling and biking experiences to boot! Best of all was a superb guide, Jacqueline, who took the tour from great to excellent!! I would do this again and again, every time I visit Rio. Anyone who is able to should do this tour! Amazing!!! During my stay in Rio I did several tours with Marcos. He is very friendly and helping person and it is easy to contact Marcos through email or whatsapp which makes booking a tour very easy too.
During the tour to Tijuca we first went for a hike to a waterfall where it was nice to have a swim after the hike. The views from Tijucas peak are amazing. The tour to favela Videla and the hike to Dois Irmaos was really nice first you go by bike along the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon to Videla from there we took the motor taxi up the hill, which was a fun way for transport and then the hike to the top of Dois Irmaos with again spectacular view. Afterwards there is time to visit Videla beach as well.
Marcos has good knowledge and stories about history and current issues of Brazil so during the tour you learn something more about the country which is nice.
The paddling class I can recommend also, it is in a quit area of copacabana and you will have great view standing on the board. It's not too difficult and Marcos is a good teacher!

I am so glad you enjoyed the tours! Besides the fact you very a good equilibrium, my stand-up paddle board is somewhat larger than the ones tourists usually rent, that makes it much easier to learn.

Well-constructed activity with approach and return by bike to Urca hill
A slightly demanding climb on foot but it is in the shade and we have time for numerous stops. If the weather is good I recommend the Pain de Sucre funicular. Before returning, a short and very very pleasant bike ride in the quiet Urca with of course a refreshment stop at the best place on the route
In a word, I am delighted with this tour which presents excellent value for money.
Last point I was thrilled by my guide Marcos Serrão, excellent professional nature and culture and always attentive
    Really thank you Marcos
I also did the sugar loaf excursion by bus another day, it was much less good
