    Too expensive and poor venue
We went to the show without the dinner. It is held in the Fashion Mall down in Sao Conrado (not in Leblon) and the venue is like a small provincial theatre, completely uninspiring and free of any atmosphere, not helped by low attendance and no proper bar, just a table like you would get at a village fete. The dancers themselves are actually ok and very energetic (there is no interval) but in parts the show had a very amateur feel. There is no real information given about the dances, a leaflet with some history and interpretation would help. We could have seen Cirque du Soleil or a performance in the West End of London for the same amount I paid for this show so I was rather disappointed to say the least, and therefor I am unable to recommend it. Sorry.

It was a great show. The performers are spectacular! Yes the theater is small and outdated but the show is wonderful. I would highly recommend this show.

Not bed but far for awesome
Performance as it was ok but there is no need for dinner, book without it, especially because the dinner comes first, and beverages are not included in price. There are other samba performances, probably similar for less money. we paid 144 us$ per person through Viator, wait more then half hour in hotels lobby without notification from the Grey line agency for delay

    horrible experience
Drunk patrons, high prices, and uncomfortable seats harmed our enjoyment beyond belief. When we complained to the managers we were argued with -- worse than being ignored. I know there are lots of positive reviews on this place, but it sure didn't meet our expectations . . . or what we paid to get it. Be wary ! ! ! ! !

    Great variety
We had the dinner and show. Dinner was fantastic, best beef ribs! Show was amazing, lots of dancers doing a variety of dance routines. Would definitely recommend!!

    No Photography allowed
High level of energy and show is okay. The setting is disappointing: old worn out cinema/theatre. Photography is not allowed for unclear reasons but everyone does it anyway. There is a highly frustrated lady running around that made it her life mission to police all visitors on it. Bit annoying.

    Disappointed
Collected on time at hotel but then proceeded to go around to 4/5 other hotels. Some where people were late and we waited outside for ages.all the time the driver had his radio full blast with a lot of shouting and screaming because Brazil were playing football! Arrived late at the restaurant so rushed. It was very crowded. Food was OK but nothing special. We then drove a while, we thought the restaurant was inside or next to the theatre. We then had to walk through a shabby desolate shopping arcade to the theatre. Inside the theatre it was very shabby and run down. The samba class was a joke, just standing by your seat clapping and swaying. The show then started and even though they all worked hard it was amateurish. The best was the 5 acrobatic dancing men. Even the advert for drinks was very amateurish. All in all a disappointing evening and not value for money

The dancers were amazing and our children really enjoyed the whole show despite falling asleep towards the end. I would really recommend to anyone. Seems a safe area in Leblon. Staff all spoke English.

Good but not Las Vegas level.
Was great experience with very intense dances and different style. That said if you’re used to Las Vegas shows this is different.

    Lets samba
Well put together show. The beginning was good, where "Mr Bruno Mars" did a little lesson on the different dance moves. Fairly entertaining, but in the middle of the show, we were a little lost. All in all a good show, which enabled us to get in the Rio mood.

    Nice show
Balanced show mixing local traditional dances in a continuous growth rhythm. Very professional team focused to give high performance. Unfortunately the theater is old, dusty and somehow dirty. Nonetheless the full intense two hours shows let you forget the surrounding environment. Good cultural experience for a relaxing night.

Its a great show do not miss it. In the beginning they try and teach you some steps for dancing. Then the actual show begins. The dances and dancers are superb. You feel you are sitting and watching the carnival performance. Later in the audience the dancers come and you can take pictures with them.

    Rip-off company
We’ve booked the show including the optional dinner. Pick-up was supposed to be at 18:25. We were outside the hotel on time. At 18:46 they email saying they’re stuck in traffic(see picture). At 19:10 when I called they said that they’ve been all ready at the hotel and we were not there. As it was late to catch the dinner and see the show they’ve told us no refund because we were not there. Unprofessional and trying to lie about their own mistake. I can definitely understand if it was a technical issue. But to try to pretend after all that you’ve been on time ... even if you emailed saying you’re late..... even a lie should be at least presenting to be smart...

    Great Show!
My family and I enjoyed our evening dinner and show package, which we booked through Viator. What great entertainment and later the audience could get up to dance as well with the dancers. Their costumes were so vibrant. What a great Rio experience!

No samba lessons as advertised. Many drunk patrons yelling, distracting during songs and dances; I complained to the management who did nothing about it. I asked for a refund and was denied. We've been to shows all over the world. This was by far the worst. While there were some impressive and talented performers, the atmosphere and attitude of the employees ruined the experience. For over $100 USD/ticket, we expected at least a place where we wouldn't have to leave early for fear of the rowdy drunks and beligerant patrons. Stay away. Stay away, indeed!

Event marketing images are misrepresentative and some are not even from this venue.
Actual show, staging and venue are pretty low budget given the ticket prices. The venue is also very far off the beaten track around 25 mins by Uber from Copacabana in a random shopping mall with no clear signage for where the show is being staged - so expect to wander around a bit asking random people for directions if they understand you.
I bought the ticket to see some authentic samba. 45 mins into the show, there was still no sign of it so I left.
Overall disappointing I’m sorry to say. Definitely not worth the prices charged.

This is an early show by most standards plus it is a stage show versus a typical dinner club show. Having said that, the cast of dancers was amazing! Excellent presentation of the carious cultures and regions of Brazil. We loved it. Highly recommend.

Tourist oriented musical, that gives you a glimpse of Brazilian culture and the samba vives. Good for everyone, ideal for families with children, elderly people, and almost everyone. However it is a show with chorography that mimics a carnival show for touris, and not a real samba party.

I can't explain how impressed I was with this show. I didn't really know what to expect going into it but what I got out of it was so much more than I could imagine. Every member of the cast was incredibly talented and entertaining. I would 100% go back and recommend anyone visiting Rio check it out.

Worst show what I saw ever. Low budget, poor professionalsm, fake band, bad story line, low number of actor/dancer…
It will hit you in a bad way. You will freeze in the first 20 mins by the shock of the unprofessionalsm. After you will get angry to yourself, about the money you spent to that thing.
At the first 30 mins, nothing happens just you need to move with a guy, who is there to create some athmosphere. It was long and strange.. then we left the real show after 20 mins. Horrible.
When I was claiming back the price of the ticket, they almost laught at me.

Absolutely high energy show. Based on a timeline ...early indigenous to breakdancing and everything in between. Included cultures from all over Brazil. The samba and the capoeira were outstanding.

Included some fun practice , standing in front of your seats for 10 minutes before the show started.

The theatre is a little hard to find, it's on the 2nd floor of a shopping mall.

Only thing to be careful of, is that there are no taxis when you come out after the show. If you can't call one, pre-book it.

We went to the show as part of a dinner and show package. The theatre is quite small and comfortable enough. The show was certainly very lively and varied, with colourful costumes, and entertaining dancers and exciting acrobatic moves. The band was good too. However, I found the whole thing very confusing as there was no commentary to tell us what was actually going on - no description of the narrative when a story was being told, and no announcement of which dances were actually being performed. It was all a bit noisy and ‘wham bam’. In many ways, I wished we had skipped the show and just gone to a bar which had dancing
