no where does it tell you that you will be on a BUS for over 2 1/2 hours - and then another 2 1/2 hours (it took us 3 1/2 hours because of traffic) to get back. so, 6 hours on a bus to see 4 little islands - only one with a tiny decent beach (and you got to stay there less than 30 minutes) 2 to jump in the water, and one island to eat - no swimming there - very dirty beach. can't believe we wasted 13 hours to do this tour - a complete rip off - when there is so much in rio. - wish i could give it zero stars

Lots of fun and beauty all around. It is a long time on the bus (5 +hours round trip) but otherwise a great day

The tour operators were prompt, very accommodating, organized and thorough. Our first time in Rio and we chose the Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer private tour. Our guide was Guilherme Silva. He was informative, funny and knew so many photography tricks. Our ride was comfortable and always waiting nearby. We booked this tour through Viator/Brummie Lines - We look forward to our next tour with Guilherme! We will definitely recommend to our friends and family!

We were booked on this tour with Brummie Tours, pick up in lobby to be at 7:30 a.m. We were on our way down to the lobby when the elevator stopped on the 5th floor of our Hotel, and, we were stuck on the elevator for 2 1/2 hours. Ultimately, we missed our pickup in the lobby, but, after emerging from the elevator after 2 1/2 hours, the owner, Paulo and the tour guide, Pedro, were still waiting for us in the lobby for our tour. After explaining what had happened to us in the elevator, they both immediately reassured us that we would still have our tour. We were then put into a private car with both Paulo and Pedro aboard to give us an excellent tour of Christ the Redeemer, the tiled steps, lunch at the designated restaurant, tour of different areas of Rio, and, then drove us around finding a bookstore to buy a tourist book of Rio de Janeiro. They both turned what could have been a most miserable experience into one of fun and laughter, we totally enjoyed our day with both Paulo and Pedro. They are truly dedicated to their profession and go above and beyond to please their clients. As they say, some things happen for a reason, and, I am quite sure our elevator experience happened, so, we could meet two wonderful people, and, leave Rio de Janeiro with very pleasant memories. Nice boat trip to see few islands in Angra dos Reis. Even though my original tour was cancelled last minute in the morning due to some technical issues, they provided this another tour in a speed boat and was a great experience too. The driver Paulo and Pedro was great explaining different things.Enjoyed it :)

VIP experience. Our guide took us to great clubs, nightlife, and we got to skip the lines and had a table at each place. No small feat! We had a blast. Well worth the money.

I had a miserable day in this tour. Everything started with late arrival of the bus - a bus that was absolutely freezing (air con in full blast could not be turned down regardless of repeated requests by at least 3 guests). The bus was jam packed and it took more than 4 hrs to arrive at the destination. After wasting another 3 hours in super crowded lunch place (waiting 30mins for food and another 10mins just to get out of the place!) and hiking to the marina, where we had to all INDIVIDUALLY line up for a marina ticket (R$5 - not mentioned in brochure), and waiting in the boat for another ~40mins without any info as to what was going on, the boat finally departed around 3pm. Leaving so late of course left us only less than 2hrs before sun went down and it quickly became pretty cold with wet clothing and not having packed warm stuff thinking we would have toured in sun. however, having another 1.5hrs to go before returning back to the harbour, not many of us were happy or warm. The tour was supposed to be bilingual, the guide barely spoke English - only a couple of basic phrases, after speaking 10x more in Portuguese - therefore leaving the non-Portuguese speakers out in dark as to what was going on at various stages of queuing, waiting in bus, in restaurant, boat etc. I didn't get anything positive out of the tour (except the swim from the boat) and left feeling pretty miserable, happy being back home at around 11pm (thinking it would have been 8pm).

Brummie Lines has excellent customer service! After a mix-up, owner personally met us to apologize and arranged for a private tour for us - getting an awesome driver/guide to pick us up, Paulo, who went out of his way to make the day extra special for us. Paulo even showed us places that weren't on the original day trip. The day wound up being even better than expected. The company went above and beyond for us and i would highly recommend them to anyone!

Went out with Leo from Brummie, had taken us for a walk through overcrowded Lapa and perfect Caipifruta. :-) After that we visited Rio Scenarium and just walked in, avoiding the ques. Thanks and thumbs up for Leo and Brummie.

Started with poor pickup communiction. Not in english at first. After hour + lost got started. The attractions are all packed and over filled with people. you feel like you are in a cattle car.

I was incredibly excited that something like this existed on TripAdvisor. I came to Rio mainly to experience the beaches and this tour was perfect! The tour guide arrived at my hotel lobby on time and was incredibly nice and friendly. He explained a lot about the different cultures of the different beaches and neighborhoods. My son and I had a blast! It was fun and comfortable and time flew!

My family and I went to Rio just before the Olympics. We were very pleased, from the online booking and e-mail exchanges to the actual service. They were punctual, friendly and very accommodating. I thought the price was fair and we ended up getting 2 cars for 4 people - considering my family is very tall and with the amount of luggage we had, it was the way to go. Our trip was basically from the Jobim International Airport to Búzios and a few days later from Búzios to Ipanema. They also offer tours but since I am from Rio originally, we did not need that extra service. I highly recommend it and will use it again in future trips. Obrigada Brummie Lines!

We used Brummie Lines for a transfer from Rio to Buzios and a return to Rio's airport. We found the communication during the booking process to be prompt, Andrea always answered our questions/queries quickly. The driver spoke very good English and was punctual, polite, and friendly. You immediately felt at ease. He drove carefully and the car was comfortable and clean. We would recommend using Brummie Lines whilst in Rio.

I wish there were more stars to give! Thanks to Brummie Lines I got to see the best of Rio on two separate tours. The first one was so good I booked a second after I arrived. Thank you for taking the time to show me all of the beautiful best beaches in the area and for my personalised city tour. Do not hesitate to book your trip with this tour company. Way more personal than any big tour line.

Raphael was an absolutely amazing guide. This is a great tour to take if you are new to the nightlife scene in Rio or your first time visiting. He shows you a wide variety of what the nightlife is really like. I highly recommend as it was an incredible experience. It will make you want to come back to the places you visit (Botanical Garden bars, Lapa bars, and Leblons).
