My tour guide was excellent. Extremely well versed in product knowledge of the history of Brasília, and all of the dignitaries and all of the history and background of how he developed. He was wonderful. Unfortunately there were buildings that were closed. It was raining and I could not go up on the tower to take a picture. The White House palace was being used by the president could not see that I could not see the Senate because it was closed on Sunday was unfortunate. But my tour guide was excellent.

I was disappointed by this visit. I wanted to understand the whole architectural and urban planning project of Brasilia. I adapted my trip to Brazil for this purpose and took a 36-hour diversions. I had chosen Alberto for his good advice, but another guide replaced him. He was a nice man, but his English was too limited to teach us anything. Basic information and few answers to our questions, even with my Brazilian companion. Also, there was no explanation of the tour, its logic or timings. All we got was "there's only 20 minutes left, so let's try to be quick", even though there were still 3 monuments to see. It was great to be transported from monument to monument, but quite frankly it wasn't worth the price. Quite disappointed by the experience I was looking forward to.

If you are an English speaker, stay away from this tour! Although we had booked an English-speaking guide, we are left disappointed after spending the morning with a guide who could not speak English. We are on a one-month round trip and have chosen to fly to Brasilia and take this city with us, as we are curious to see how an architectural city is built in just four years. We had booked a private tour in English because we would like to have the opportunity to ask questions, as well as have a dialogue about life in Brasilia. None of this has been fulfilled, because partly the guide was very difficult to understand due to his pronunciation and had to constantly look for even simple words, and partly he could not understand the questions that would be asked of him. If we asked in the east, he answered in the west. He is certainly a good guide in Portuguese, but very bad of the travel agency, to send him out on a task he could not handle - it is disappointing to have spent money and time on a trip, and to be left with many unanswered questions.

Driver was very good, explained everything and answered all questions in English. Had plenty of time to look around, but still saw all the major locations in 4 hours.

Amazing tour! So fun! We loved it. We learned so much and were able to see so much in just a few hours. Brasilia is amazing. Take this tour. You will not regret it. It is the best.

Excellent tour of famed architect Oscar Niemeyer, designs by Lúcio Costa, Joaquim Cardozo; landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx. Our well spoken guide Alberto explained the varied sectors: governance, hotel, banking, residential. Highlights were the Metropolitan Cathedral and “Blue Church”, (photo)and the JK Memorial & Bridge(photo) On a personal note Alberto’s English language skills and understanding of colloquialisms were excellent. He offered us the opportunity to go where we wanted and spend the time we desired to read and understand the displays. Very informative and worthwhile!

If you are flying across Brazil, I highly recommend you do what we did: schedule your flight so you'll have a long layover in the capital city and take this tour. There is a lot to see in this city, and with Alberto, you will get a chance to see so much of it in a short time. From our pick-up at the airport, he gave us a tour of all of the unique monumental architecture and provided real insight into the rapid construction and evolution of this planned city. Resembling an airplane when seen from above, with sprawling and unique government structures, it is truly unlike any other city that we have seen before. While the famous government buildings, churches, bridges, and viewing points were fascinating and made for awesome photo opportunities, it was also very interesting to visit one of the superblock residential communities that the city planners designed along the "wings" of the "airplane" of Brasilia. Alberto knows a lot about the city, its designers, architects, and planners, and is eager to share that knowledge with visitors. At the end of the tour, he dropped us at a recreational area along the lake next to the JK Bridge, where we were able to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before a 10-minute Uber ride back to the airport to catch our flight.

Excellent, no-nonsense tour that hit everything we wanted to see and took us door-to-door between them all. Highly recommend, and very much alleviate Alberto’s flexibility in accommodating the Itamaraty tour we’d already booked for the middle of the day!

New to Brasilia, we asked Alberto to provide us a full overview of what and who were here when Brasilia was built, why the city was built and why it was built here, and what were the guiding principles of President Kubitschek, Oscar Niemeyer, Roberto Marx, and the other architects and designers. Alberto did all that, plus, for context, he explained aspects of the history, economics, and culture of Brazil, from the 1800s to the present. Alberto offered to drive, but as we had planned for four of us to take the tour, we used our rental SUV to drive from building to building for about six hours, including a stop for lunch in Pontão. That was long enough to stop and walk around some of the buildings, although because of COVID, not all of the buildings were open. Still, we were able to enter the Kubitschek memorial, the cathedral, the Sanctuario Dom Bosco, the exterior of the complexo do Quartel General do Exercito, Praca dos Tres Poderes, the exterior of the Ministry of Justice, and the tiny Igreja Nossa Senhora de Fátima. It was a thorough and exhausting day, leaving us stuffed full of information to better understand this city and its place in the history and culture of Brazil and its role as an icon of international Modern Architecture.
