Unbelievable visit to Salvador with Josuel and Olafemi Tours

We had an unbelievable time in Salvador! Thanks to Josuel and Olafemi Tours we got to explore this phenomenal city with a phenomenal guide. We got off the beaten path as well as toured the gems of the city. The history, the culture, the food, the art… were all highlighted by Josuel . Whether it be discussion of the history of Carnival or current affairs, Josuel’s expansive knowledge of and passion for the city were shared with us at every turn. I highly recommend Olafemi Tours for all of your touring and transportation needs in Salvador

An inspiring, carefully-arranged set of experiences in Salvador

Josue took us on two days of tours, one of the city and its features, and another where we got to do some local activities, such as a private percussion class and a private capoeira class.

The tour of Salvador was a great balance between historical information and sights, culminating in a delicious meal composed of local foods, with careful attention to our dietary restrictions. Josue was a knowledgeable guide who handled our questions with aplomb and patience, managing three different languages in our small group effortlessly. A tour of this city necessarily moves between the beautiful and the terrible, and he handled the weight of the topics admirably, while keeping the group engaged and entertained.

The two class tour was a great time as well, and he provided us with access to some really special, incredibly talented instructors. They went to great lengths to make the experience accessible for adults and children, and brought a really special set of memories to the whole experience.

I would recommend Josue without reservations, and I look forward to working with him again when we come back to this beatiful, lively city. He managed traffic and time issues with precision, and always made us feel appropriately prepared for everywhere we went.

Salvador da Bahia Historical Tour with Josuel Quieroz and Olafemi Tours!

It was my first time to Bahia. Our guide was Josuel Quieroz and it was the experience of a lifetime.

To say that he is an amazing guide does not capture the level of care and personal attention he provided all individuals within our group. We were mostly elders, ranging in ages between 55-80 and traveling with many different abilities. Josuel was attentive, respectful and patient beyond measure. He was always prompt, considerate, generous and genuinely KIND!.

His experience and knowledge of social, cultural, history, and place, are impressive. In summary, it was both cultural and educational. We were a group of Black Americans and his communication skills were impressive. He responded to phone calls with questions and requests outside of his schedule, without hesitation.

Josuel helped resolve any concerns or issues (which were NEVER a reflection of his tour or the complete package). We had COMPLETE confidence in him.

His drivers were professional, kind and accommodating. The vehicles were always clean and comfortable.

The menu of activities, events and experiences we shared as a group, organized by Olafemi were uplifting! I will cherish the experience of being there for the Iemanja Festival and visiting the Pelourinho, the restuarants and seeing the performance of the Ballet Folklorico Da Bahia.

I left knowing that I would return to Salvador da Bahia and will plan to work with Josuel and Olufemi Tours in the future. I have already sung his praises to people who are Bahia curious.
Obrigado, Joseul and Olafemi Tours for a life changing and uplifting experience.

A Must Do
If you visit Salvador, you have got to do tours with Josuel. He is an amazing human being, with great knowledge of Brazil's history, but most importantly for us, black history. Our family got to see so much, the Pelourinho, eat at a local restaurant, visited beautiful, charming Islands, learn a little bit about Candomblé, oh so woth it!!!
Thanks Josuel! We will see you again when we come back!

An amazing once in a life time experience in Salvador!!!

Did an 8-day four city tour of Brazil and I must say, my tour in Salvador was one one the best highlights of my trip. As one who was born and raised in Africa, it was refreshing to see how traditional African culture is celebrated and promoted in Salvador. Josuel and his buddy Isaco really did a great job of telling the stories and history!! The dinner and show at night was excellent!! Josuel was very accommodating!! I'll definitely be back with my family and friends to have them experience the beauty, charm and people of Salvador!! Obregado!

The best tour guide in Salvador

Josuel knows every nook and cranny of the city. Every city block had a story to tell and Josuel told us as much as he could in our 5 hours together. There was not 1 minute of boredom during the entire tour. He clearly loves Salvador and it was a pleasure to learn about the city through his eyes. He even took us to an amazing lunch spot off the beaten path that was one of the best meals eaten in the city. I can't wait to return and take one of the other tour packages that he offers.

I have been to Salvador many times but my tour of the city with Olefami and Josuel as our guide was outstanding. My love for this incredible city was greatly enhanced. Josuel told us about things I never knew about before It was almost like he lived back then and was telling you about things he actually saw. This was more than a tour of the city.

Friendly, Informative, Fulfilling Tour

Dear friends and I experienced so much of Salvador, Bahia during our ten days stay. Our tour guide, Josuel, is very friendly. Her was mindful of the differing physical abilities of our tour group. Also Josuel is wonderfully knowledgeable about Salvador's culture, history and thoroughly answered our numerous questions. We visited locations frequently visited by tourists, visited beaches and restaurants that serve marvelous food, and Josuel led us to locations lesser known by tourists and very popular among the residents of Salvador. Such a fulsome and meaningful trip. GREAT VALUE for the money,
