Pass By: Meeting of Waters, Rio Negro e Rio Solimoes, Manaus, State of Amazonas 69005-141 Brazil
We leave our hotels to embark and make a navigation by the Black River, during which we will have a panoramic view of the floating port, the regional rooms and the municipal market, a beautiful building of the 19th century in Art Nouveau style.
We will reach the most interesting point of our excursion, where the meeting of the Río Negro with the Solimões River takes place, which come together to form the Amazon River. It is particularly striking because you can clearly see the junction of the Black River, with darker waters almost black, with the Solimões River, with lighter waters with clay tones. During 6 km the waters of the two rivers run side by side without mixing, this is produced by the differences in temperature, speed and density of the water of the two rivers.
After enjoying this fascinating phenomenon, the tour continues along the Rio Negro to the ecological park January, where you can see the famous aquatic plants and buy indigenous crafts. We will make a stop for lunch in the floating port followed by a motorized canoe ride through several channels (Igarapés) of the Río Negro and the Solimões River (depending on the level of the rivers).
We will return to the hotels through the jungle, where we can observe several types of birds from the exuberant Amazon rainforest.
