Had a bad experience, would not recommend. I would even send a warning.
I did the Ayahuasca experience, and I do not recommend. I have done it before in Peru, and Colombia and this was the worst experience. This is definitely an experience to make money, you could call it a tourist trap. I will tell you my experience, so you can have a better one. Leonardo was ok, and he was responsive. This was all done last minute. Maybe if there was a big group, this would have been different. I was picked at hotel, and taken to Jose Paulo's private residence. Arrived there, and it was just me and the Shaman, Jose Paulo, no one else, even though it was said there would be 2 professionals with 25 years of experience. I sat down at a table and without much talk, he just handed me the drink, and put on music. There was a lot of noise outside, a lot of people.hanging out next door, dogs barking... I could not relax, as neighborhood was a bit sketchy. This was around 6 PM. The drink started to make effect around 7:15, and by 7:50, the driver was already picking me up. I was under the effects, and could barely walk. I told Jose Paulo that I could not leave like that, that I needed a few more hours. He said that I had to leave, and put me in the car. I was worried that the driver was going to take me somewhere else... He did drop me off at my hotel, and I ended up being ok, but the experience is not what an Ayahuasca experience is supposed to be like, or what it was promised ( around 4-5 hours, and when the effects disappear, they will take you to hotel).

        Amazing Boat Tour!
Francisco is such a fun, happy tour guide who is very timely and informative. He did a great job at showing us the pretty areas of the river and jungle. My family and I felt that this boat tour was one of our favorite experiences in Manaus. We would highly recommend! Paulo and Alexandra opened up their home to us and fed us an amazing meal. It was a very authentic experience as we ate in the Amazon jungle. They made us so much food that was native to their area. They were so kind and answered any questions that we had. Would highly recommend!

        Perfect!
It was an amazing experience! Everything was perfectly organized and they really care for you. They really consider the weather so they change the certain programme points to what fits the current weather the best. But in the end you do all whats on the list - just in a different order.

        Amazon falls tour
It was an amazing day with our guide Miguel and co who created an great experience, the local guide at the falls was an absolute gem as he was so knowledgeable and experienced with patience, enduring our safety and so interested in each of us. We are a good group of the right size and what I really enjoyed and appreciated was that there were many Brazilians in my group. To me that is import ant as I always feel that if the locals are there then there is a sense of pride 😀 The tour operators have impeccable organisation and communication as well as ensuring that our experience is memorable, safe, and organised. I really appreciate the continuous information before my trip. As this is my first solo trip into Brazil, as a experienced lady traveller; I have been blown away by the operations, care and kindness 💕 I will definitely come back.

        Don’t recommend this operator!
My fiancé and I didn’t have a good experience with this operator. After reading all the good reviews, we were really looking forward to this tour and the contact with Leonardo before the tour was good. But it turned out our guide was very unmotivated, and at some times even rude. The information about (life in) the Amazon that the guide was supposed to share was véry minimal (while we were really looking forward to this), and we even had to ask/convince the guide to go spear fishing (which was on the programme), but he didn’t want to do it because he wanted to sleep early. I really think that we shouldn’t be asking/convincing our guide to do things that are already on our programme (and paid for!). On top of that, during the tour we found out that a lot of people paid way less than we did (someone in our group even paid half of what we paid and she even had one day more!). We understand that there can be price differences and people can negotiate for a better price, but the price difference with the rest of our group just felt really unfair. The rest of the activities were really cool and the Amazon is amazing, but the guide didn’t contribute to that in any way. We recommend to book with another operator!

        Such an amazing experience***
Such an amazing experience! Communication was good from the tour company, they told us the night before what time they would pick us up from our hotel in Manaus, they were delayed the following morning but eventually turned up to collect us. We had no idea what to expect, we were taken by car to the busy port where we boarded a fast boat to a port across the river. We stopped at the meeting of the rivers to take photos and saw a number of river dolphins. We then transferred to a very old VW minivan with other locals aboard. We were dropped off near to the Amazon river and boarded a small boat, look out for the dolphins and the caimans lying at the waters edge. We arrived at the Ipanema lodge in the hot afternoon sunshine. We were met by our guides David and Elbie who went out of their way to make sure we saw everything possible. Make sure you take a hat/sunscreen etc. as the small boats are not covered and wear sturdy shoes as the boats are very slippery. The activates were amazing, we saw everything we wanted to see including sloth, tarantula & monkeys & we caught piranhas & caiman. We spent the night out sleeping in hammocks in the jungle with our guide and 2 other guests, I was initially reluctant but it was one of the best experiences ever. We have the most amazing memories and such stunning photographs.

        Amazing jungle experience!
My cousin and I--60+ women-booked this tour and it exceeded our expectations! We were picked up at our hotel and taken by car to a small boat. The adventure immediately began with our English speaking guide sharing much information about the river, vegetation, animals, and more. We enjoyed a delicious fish lunch prepared for us on a sandy beach. Highlights were seeing a sloth, fishing for piranha, and swimming with a dolphin in the wild! We hIghly recommend this excursion!

        Awesome Amazon
We went for 3d/2n trip to manaus. We stayed in Tropical executive hotel which was really good clean rooms, on the banks of the river, decent food too. General tourism to Amazon can be done in 2d/1n too.. We visited: Day 1 Lunch in floating restaurant Nearby that saw squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, caymen, water Lillie's, meeting of waters Day 2 Musa tower for birding( can be avoided if you aren't into bird photography) Visited Indigenous tribes Swim with pink dolphins Samuma tree Day 3 Bird watching in Ariáu river All the trips are in River so get ur hat, sunscreen and esp get ready to wet a little All age people can do this trip, most of the places we just walk hardly 10-15 steps. Musa tower had good spider exhibit and trails to walk around which was beautiful. You don't need to climb the tower. Definitely need a guide or travel agent to arrange boats and transport. If in Brasil, a must visit to this place.

Great adventure with tour guide Aldo
What a great afternoon out visiting the Rio Negro Palace and Amazon Opera House. Aldo my guide gave a full history of both places as we wandered through them. We also visited the markets near the Port, both food and clothing, souveneirs etc. Lastly we visited the Amazon jungle walking up the tower for spectacular views. There is a graded path there and back, so is fairly easy going. Highly recommend this tour.

        Happy day on the river.
A day tour on the river. There were only 2 of us. The guide and boat pilot were very flexible, changing the plan to keep us safe on the water and letting us be quick or take longer in various places. Lovely lunch, plenty of choice. Clean toilets everywhere. They answered all questions and gave us local information We're staying with relatives out of town but the driver waited happily with us in the car so we were dry, until our Uber arrived. Great day. We felt involved and looked after.

        A 10/10 three-day Experience
Our experience on the Amazon tour was nothing short of incredible! My friend and I were both amazed and would eagerly return for another exploration. Our tour guide, Collin, was exceptionally professional, friendly, and most importantly, trustworthy, which made us feel completely safe throughout the journey. We gained a profound understanding of the Amazon's nature and culture, thanks to the well-organized and thoughtfully scheduled tour. We wholeheartedly give it a 10/10 rating! A big thank you to both the welcoming staff in the lodge we stayed at and our tour guide Collin for such an enriching experience.

        Awesome Amazon sights
This tour was a large group of people (60) but it was very well organized and it kept on track the whole time. The stops were first rate. Our lunch was much more than we expected and the Indigenous village had a very good program. The dolphin swim was amazing with at least 6 dolphins returning over and over. My only caution would be to those with mobility issues as it was a bit difficult getting up from the boat to the village. I would highly recommend this tour.

Did not meet expectations, very badly organised
Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectations from the description at all. We were in a large group (initially around 20 people, split into approx 10 each), and these groups changed daily so the guides were never sure who had seen what, or even who everybody is and what tour they are on! This created the additional concern that none of the guides knew about any medical conditions or dietary requirements that had been mentioned during the booking process - Vegetarians were not catered for. Our guide spoke very limited English (despite booking an English speaking guide), so we did not feel that we got as much out of the experience as Portugese speakers. There was not enough room at the lodge for everybody, so we stayed in hammocks for 2 nights, packed too close together due to the group size. We only got a room on our 3rd night by being fairly firm about it. Mosquito nets were provided but were generally too small and had many holes. We also felt that there was not much respect for the environment - guides were dropping cigarette butts, and we heard that guides were climbing trees to catch sloths for tourists to hold whenever the sloths were low enough. There was also quite a bit of litter around the lodge, and toilet paper around the camps.

        Good but not to organize
I contacted this agency via Whatsapp to book 2D1N at Ipanema Lodge + ayahuasca ceremony and the communication was very scarce and little. I had many doubts before making my reservation given their poor attention to detail. On the day of my activity they were late for me and communication was still very poor. Once the experience began, everything was amazing. To be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the jungle. The guide David and Ever were super nice and I really appreciate that they take care of nature, respect it and teach us about its wonders. The stay is very modest, don't expect an amazing hotel...live and enjoy that you are in the middle of the Amazon and you have a roof to sleep under. Meals are sufficient and fully covered. Be prepared for plans to change as weather, light and jungle conditions can change itineraries. On my return after my stay in the jungle I had to cancel the ayahuasca ceremony because the organization and lack of seriousness that the agency gave to this activity was terrible, they had scheduled me for another day, they did not know how to give me the instructions to prepare me to do the ritual, they did not know who was going to pick me up, they did not know how many people would do it. I asked for my refund and they told me they would not do it...even taking into account that the times they coordinated themselves did not allow me to arrive on time for the ceremony. That bothered me a lot but I decided to keep the good experience in the middle of the Amazon. If you want to do activities with this agency, I recommend that you go for the adventure without stressing about the itinerary, schedules or conditions and just live it. They are good but not to organize

The tour was fine. We had a nice lunch and saw the meeting of the rivers and dolphins etc. The low rating is of trip advisors false advertising. The tour was supposed to be four hours with a max group of 14. The tour was over 8 hours and we had over 50 people on our boat. When talking to other people they also paid much less than what we paid.. dishonest adverting by trip advisor

I was impressed from start to finish with the Amazon Amazing Tours company in Manaus. My hotel called on my behalf to book the tour over the phone the night before. They picked me up at my hotel the next morning and took me to Manaus port to join the boat cruise. Even though I was the only English speaking person on the tour, Neto, a wonderful tour guide, went out of his way to explain everything to me. The other staff on the boat were very helpful when I was getting on and off. Every location we went to was so interesting and each stop was a highlight. The buffet lunch was so tasty and watching people in the water with the pink dolphins was amazing. This was a very professionally run tour and such good value for the price. They even returned me to my hotel. Hope to go on another tour with them.

If you have already seen the opera theatre and you still have a day to spare in Manaus, you can't go wrong with this tour. Totally action packed, full of fantastic activities ranging from visiting the point where the dark Rio Negro meets the lighter Amazon to swimming with pink dolphins, or from seeing real Indians perform some of their dances to exploring the shores of the Amazon, including alligator sightings. Ok, some bits are a bit touristic, but still fun. Besides, unlike usually is the case with this type of tours, the buffet lunch, which took place in a floating restaurant, was actually quite good. And finally, instead of the promised 4 and a half hours, we actually ended up being entertained for almost 8 hours - amazing value for money! Warmly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There were only 4 people on the tour which was most comprehensive in the Manaus area. James showed us lots of local things as we went along on our little boat. Seeing the meeting of the waters was amazing - just so explicit - brown/black just like that. Water very warm when brown. The floating villages were so interesting. Hard to believe the change in tides . Had a very nice buffet lunch but 11 am was rather early to do it justice. Fishing for Arapaima was an experience. They are so fast. Had a great walk up a narrow local bridge type of thing to see the water lilies - a bit disappointed as only 1 or 2 to see. We saw a monkey. which was great but would have liked to see more and some forest birds. The tree canopy was interesting. A good day and well worth doing.

This was a great tour. It was a small group, just three couples from our cruise ship had booked this trip independently. Our tour guide was Al, at least that's the easy name he gave us to call him :). He picked us up at the dock (at the first part of the terminal he was able to wait for us in) and then escorted us to the motorboat we used for the tour. My husband and I really wanted to cruise the Amazon River to specifically see the meeting of the waters - and we were not disappointed. This natural phenomenon should not be missed - and in addition to just seeing it, take a small tour so you can put your hand in the water as the boat moves from one to the other. Al told us to do that and the difference in the water temperature between the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimoes was profound. So the difference in color and temperature makes the small boat excursion extra special. Al also had us disembark and walk over a wonderful bridge where we saw monkeys up close and personal and well as the famed lily pads. Lunch at the floating restaurant was tasty and it was fun to try the different foods. Something on that buffet line for everyone! The stop we made to feed the Arapaima was really good, too - well worth it just to see one of those up close. They're huge! It's the largest freshwater fish in the world, often reaching 200 lbs and 7 to 9 feet in length. All in all, a great tour.

The trip was jam-packed and fantastic from end-to-end! We followed the itinerary pretty closely (keep in mind this is more of a full day tour, with our pickup around 8am and getting back around 3-4pm). There were only a handful of English speakers but the tour guide still did a great job switching between Portuguese/English. We got to see a ton of wildlife (including super cute monkeys) and had stellar food.

A few tips: Bring bug spray/repellant wipes. I didn't notice any bugs until the very end at the tribal dance performance, but the ones there were pretty big. Also bring a battery pack for your phone, there won't be anywhere to charge up throughout the day. For the ladies, you may want to bring wipes/sanitizer, as the bathrooms were a bit sparse. Definitely bring 1-2 water bottles.

You'll stop at multiple vendors, which will have similar goods. We were able to use our credit cards to buy sourvenirs, but please please make sure to keep cash handy especially for tipping the tour guide, restaurant servers, and drivers at pickup/dropoff!! We ran out at the end and felt bad.

Overall we had a fantastic time, and felt like we got a lot of bang for our buck. Highly recommend!
