The trip started by being collect at the hotel. A clear warmth day followed surrounded by deep green forest mountain, at the left the turquoise Egean sea. Approaching the village is the Mosque. Upon arriving I was introduced to the traditional ways of living and meet the old lady who keeps alive the hand production of carpets, she has passed the skills to her daughter. In the show room a display of master pieces of carpets was enjoyable. Finally the outing conclude with a delicious traditional food. Highly enjoyable and recommend.

Orhan, our guide, introduced us to the highlights of Bodrum during our private city tour. He was very informative about the sites we visited and gave excellent overviews about each. Our village tour was particularly enjoyable as it introduced us to Türkiye rural life. We highly recommend the lunch. The family we visited is so welcoming and friendly, and the food—so many different dishes to try—is beyond delicious. And it is in a quiet rural setting complete with chickens and other farm animals. So near Bodrum city but a world apart.

Highly recommend this day trip to Etrim..our tour guide tony is very familiar with the area and knows how to show you around! The village is famous for it's carpets and you get to see the carpet workers up close as well as visit other sites in the village (including local mosque)...A must visit for anyone who visits Bodrum

We had an interesting half day in our guide Tony's (aka the Captain) home village. The village is up in the hills and offers a nice alternative to coastal activities and historical tours. Tony is very friendly and cheerfully fielded all our questions. As with rural communities around the world, many of the younger generation have gone to check out life in the cities, leaving the population of Trim on the older side. However, a visit to the town is a good reminder of how wonderful it is to be part of a community where everyone knows and cares for the welfare of their neighbours. The houses each sit on a plot of land where a variety of food is grown and you get the sense they don't need much from outside the village. After a huge lunch at the one restaurant, there is a rug co-op visit with a brief demonstration and a glass of local wine (not super pressured to buy, which was appreciated). It was a lovely day despite the rain and I would definitely recommend.

I had an amazing day on this trip. As a solo traveler I was warmly welcomed by everyone. The tour guide, Tony is very knowledgeable about the area and was always around to translate. I was welcomed with tea before I was taken to the kitchen to help the local ladies prepare various dishes. I was treated kindly by all the locals and enjoyed learning not only about the local food but also about the Turkish culture. The village is beautiful and it felt like a true authentic experience. The food I ate for lunch was also some of the best food I have eaten on my trip so far.

The trip to village was amazing. The host was knowledgeable and we learned a lot. Also, the lunch was delicious! The carpet shopping was entertaining.

We had an absolutely marvelous day exploring the village culture of Etrim, where we got to experience the authentic, everyday life of Turkey. The locals were incredibly hospitable, welcoming us into their homes, sharing delicious food, and introducing us to the ancient art of weaving. I’ve never had more appreciation for Turkish rugs than after tying knot after knot myself — it gave me a new perspective on the skill and patience required for this incredible craft. The village was full of life, and I particularly enjoyed making friends with the local cats (bribed with a few fries, of course!). We were even invited into the home of one of the oldest residents, where we learned more about the traditions and daily lives of the villagers. The fresh orange juice was a highlight — so refreshing and flavorful. The weaving workshop was fantastic, and the prices for the Turkish rugs here were by far the best I’ve seen. It was such a pleasure to chat with the artisans and learn about their beautiful creations. The entire experience was topped off with a feast of local dishes that was as generous as it was delicious. I cannot recommend this tour enough, and I truly hope to return in the future — whether to help weave or to take home another piece of this incredible art from Etrim.

Tony was a great and informative tour guide. We saw a whole new side of Bodrum and Turkey that is quite unexplored. If you are visiting I highly recommend checking out this cute little village.

We had a fabulous day as a group of six aboard the Bodrum Queen. The boat itself was beautiful and Captain Enver and his crew took excellent care of us. The lunch onboard was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Communication in advance of our sail was clear and accurate. Stops were tailored to our preferences and our timing. It all felt very luxurious. Highly recommend!

This experience was amazing. We got picked up from our hotel in Bodrum city and driven to a beautiful remote village. We were greeted warmly by the locals, taken on a fascinating tour all around the village and then we were shown how the carpets are woven and got to practice ourselves! It was a dream come true. We also had a delicious authentic Turkish lunch, with far more food than we could eat. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Amazing experience, a great way to create special holiday memories. We enjoyed a beautiful wooden boat with 4 cabins, each with separate toilets and shower cruised the Aegean Sea. The crew, captain Akkif, first mare Jim and cook Mozu were outstanding , great service ! Not only a beautiful, respectful and amazing sail but also an introduction to Turkish cuisine by our own super talented chef, Mozu

We had a wonderful week holiday, you couldn’t have asked for more. The boat was great, felt very safe in the hands of captain Akif. He guided us to beautiful places, chose great bays to swim and have fun in the water. The food was excellent, with three full meals daily, cooked to perfection by Mozu and no request was too much for Jim our stewart. Thank you very much to a fabulous team.

Very nice trip with friends for one week. Fantastic weather, warm water, fine swims and lots of fun. The crew was amazingly nice and friendly and did everything to make our stay comfortable. We had our private chef who was cooking fantastic food for us with a big smile on his face. Just fabulous thanks to this very very nice crew! Thank you Akif, Jim and Mozu! Mirela & Francois
