- jaimeko880 contributionsGreat guide and informative tourRussel taught us a lot history during the tour. It is very informative. He make the history interesting so that it won’t be too dry. He gave sufficient time to take photos too. P.S. he take good photos too…Written October 5, 2024
- Emilyhuesiewgin0 contributionsAttended a very interesting history classLucky enough to experience a 1-2-1 tourguide as I am the only 1 booked for the day. Had a great experience with Russell, a very good story teller...shared a detailed history of Philippines & Manila....I definitely will try to look for the movie of Rizal that he recommended..Written September 27, 2024
- Rotara0 contributionsFantastic Walking Tour, Full of Historical WonderFabulous local/ historical knowledge, highly entertaining and a great host. Plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend the walking tour with Russell.Written September 23, 2024
- francescacK922ZT0 contributionsA fascinating and lovely tour around IntramurosWe booked a tour with Russell whilst visiting Manila, quite last minute as, because of the tropical storms, we weren't sure if we could actually go out and about the city. Russell's Intramuros tour was a stark contrast to the tours we've been on in Cebu and Siargao. Rather than just being a tour that gets you from point A to B to C and take photos, Russell shares deep and fascinating information about sites in Intramuros at a really good pace, which made us really appreciate the area. He also gave recommendations to other nearby spots to visit that weren't part of the tour (which we enjoyed!). You can really see his years of experience as a tour guide shine! 100% will be recommending to family and friends visiting Manila!Written September 23, 2024

- Traveler106668778310 contributionsPERFECT!An unmatched experience. The tour guides are so friendly and attentive. The bicycles so comfortable. Such a fun way to immerse yourself in the city. The cold towel and ice cream at the end was perfect for the heat.Written September 17, 2024
- saclaudia0 contributionsBetter ride than walk.Quite interesting, as it is better to ride than to walk. However, i thought we would ride more and stop less. Nevertheless, it was worth it. We learned a lot about the history of the place, through Anj's explanations, and saw practically all Intramuros!!Written August 13, 2024
- Taravali G0 contributionsFun afternoon your with friends!Booked the 1.5 hr biking tour with 3 of my friends, and had such a blast! Our tour guide was both informative and funny, although at lightly lower energy, considering it was later in the day, and the bikes were comfortable and easy to use. (I hadnt been biking in over a year, but had no difficulty) The roads were, for the most part, smooth, other than the cobblestone we had to get over initially, but that was next to no issue at all. The stops were all very nice, but definitely left me wanting to see more (definitely will be looking into the 2.5 hr tour next!) The bike riding wasn't in any way arduos, so would definitely recommend this tour for everyone! The only thing that could classify as an issue was how one of the people meant to stay behind the group ended up going over some of us, but regardless, I still felt safe, even when the road was busy, or people were crossing. Overall, it was a really great tour, and the free ice cream they gave us at Bathala Bar was the cherry on top!Written August 13, 2024
- 631kadyk0 contributionsIntramuros tourReally amazing tour. Russell was very knowledgeable about intramuros and the history. He also knew how to add a bit of comedy to the mix. There aren’t a lot of reviews but definitely choose this tour as the one to go on if you’re on the fence. He was amazing. If I ever want to do this tour again I’d book with the same guide!Written July 20, 2024
- julierH4835OD0 contributionsFantastic value, amazing guideSteven was a fantastic guide he was very knowledgeable and very passionate about history and you could tell he lived his job. Always checking on people. The riding was very simple and really only took 20 minutes overall. there's lots of breaks, BUT you do have to have good balance on the COBBLESTONES, but THATS only 5 minutes overall. drink at the end was fantastic, same with the view. you can request they bring a fan if you get too hot, great value, very with the money. Water &toilet at start & end. So much better than walking tour, as that would be very hotWritten June 30, 2024

- ratnayus20160 contributionsIncredible journeyThe guide was INCREDIBLE!! His knowledge about history and the cultural history is very deep and broad. Three hours more walking around Intramuros, I was not only listening Intramuros and Manila history, but also The Phillipines. For me, as a history enthusiast and heritage supporter, it was worth and very valuable journey. Maraming salamat po! Mabuhay!Written December 8, 2023
- sprease10 contributionsTour quality dropsAfter positive tour in 2018, I repeated the experience of bambo-bike. As 5 years ago tour was almost perfect, this time it will not arrive to the sufficient rate. Start was delayed by 15 minutes bur finished 11 am as scheduled. Initial Less stops, less explainations (and more confused), only 5 minutes each stop. Express tour will end at main cathedral when the next stop is saint Augustin church in front of the shop. It makes more sense finishing there. Evidenty business growed and parallely the quality decreased. It must be considered different options in Manila intramuros.Written November 30, 2023

Highlight of our Manila trip! Tour guide was awesome - we learnt heaps about the history and importance of each stop within the walled city. It’s stunning scenery and all the kids from the school doing their dances was an awesome random highlight. We had quite a scary time trying to get back to our hotel after the trip so I strongly recommend getting a private driver and having them wait for you to finish. The city becomes gridlocked in the evening which is when our tour finished. We couldn’t get a Grab (Uber equivalent). I asked the tour guide what to do and he said walk out of the walled city and there will be taxis which there weren’t. We ended up getting a tuktuk who unfortunately dropped us off in the dark in a dangerous spot with a lot of people surrounding us. Long story, we got back to the hotel, and it’s in no way the tour operators fault, it’s mine. So just passing in the importance of having return transport locked in - do not rely on taxis or Grab.

Loved this tour so much! I'm Filipina and wanted to show my partner the city - and honestly the Bambike Ecotour is the best way to see Intramuros. Great combination of being active and taking in the historical value of one of Manila's gems. Cedhie was our tour guide and he was a lot of fun. Really appreciated the ice cream and cold towels at the end too! We even wanted to buy a bamboo bike frame after! x
5/5, highly recommend.
If you are planning on getting a Grab or taxi from Intramuros area after your tour during rush hour, we would recommend walking outside of the walls and getting transpo from there.

We had a 1/2 day in MNL before getting on an international flight. This was the perfect activity to get out and explore a historic corner of the city, get a little exercise and learn about the Spanish and American engagement in the Philippines. The history and spirit of the Filipino people shown through with our guides engaging and knowledgeable overview. Better for adults and older kids as there is a lot of history shared. Short 5 minute rides between sights. Highly recommended.

Such an amazing experience! I did the Half Day Tour through Intramuros - my guide was Cedhie! I ended up being the only person in my time slot, so the tour was private one-on-one! Cedhie is an incredible guide. He was knowledgeable of all the history and sites, and also made me feel like a part of the conversation. It felt like being shown around the city by a new friend. The bikes are comfortable and I felt safe being guided through the streets, even when we had to cross in traffic. The stops cover all the main sites in Intramuros, and because you are on bike, you can cover way more ground in the time than on foot. At the end of the tour they even gave me a cool towel to refresh myself, and a scoop of the most delicious coconut ice cream! If you’re traveling alone or in a group, highly recommend this experience. Ask for Cedhie!

I have participated in biking tours around the world…it is a great way to do much in a short period of time. This tour throughout Manila was top notch! Our guide, Johnathan was attentive, educational and allowed everyone to feel special…answering questions as a group and personally. The 2.5 hours was easy riding with several stops that was packed with content….sad, happy, historical and all mixed with the every day life of the locals. Plan to do this one….the value is much greater than the investment!

If you have better things to do in Manila, DO IT. This trip was totally below expectation and I regret my time wasted here.
1) Not a biking tour but more of a history read-out from Wiki: total biking time less than 20 mins, and the majority of the time was to stand and listen to the tour guide about the history. Wrong place if you are looking for a “riding through the city” tour.
2) Bland story-telling: expect to stand in circles and listen to the tour guide about the history. Can’t feel her passion or deep knowledge in this area, and the guide seems to lack the ability to engage with the group.
3) You can do it without a bike: The sites we visited are easily accessible even if u don’t have a bike, and also no tickets required. The scenery is mediocre if u took away the history part.
4) Walk-in price for 1.5/2.5 hr trip was 999/1699 PHP.
Don’t get me wrong — still a very organized trip, but WILL NOT recommend to anyone

The Booking process is simple, the staff are really friendly and helpful. The guide Jojo was knowledgeable and funny too. I would highly recommend this tour and it is not physically hard at all, even the "massage" on the large cobbles was fun.

With limited time at hand and being in the office all week the tour was exactly the right thing to get exercise and history in one go. We were a small group cycling around the fortress walls of Intramuros, the guide was motivated and you could tell his history background. I enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend it when you don't have much time and want to move a bit.

Tour ran smoothly despite a bit of light rain. We were led round by our diamond guide and local history student, Steven who was equipped with his binder of photos to show how the sites had evolved over the years. I enjoyed this visual stimulus.
Steven was informative and enthusiastic throughout, pausing only to ask if we had any questions or to give us brief moments to peruse the stops and take photos. The bike ride was undertaken at a steady pace and Steven told us In advance of each stop the side of the road to stick to and where we were heading. Though the traffic in Manila can be quite chaotic to put it lightly, I never felt in danger. The bikes were sturdy yet lightweight.
The tour ended with a cold towel pat down and an ice cream from a local cafe. I would recommend the purple yam flavour! All in all, a first rate experience

This bike tour was the ice on the cake on my day in Manila! I did the morning tour, it was quite hot & humid but riding the bike gave us a little breeze. Intramuros is a lovely area of the capitol, a must-see when you're there. Our tour guide, Russell was really professional, he provided a brief review of the history of Manila and the Philippines as we rode through Intramuros. His English is good and understandable, also, he was a super friendly and lovely tour guide. I am really happy to be able to join this tour and see all these historical places in Manila!

Hi, there! Do feel free to bring your own bike! :)
If you decide to do so, the Bambike rental fee of Php 100 will be deducted from your tour cost.
We hope to take you around Intramuros soon! :)

We arrive at MNL (NAIA Airport) early in the morning, will probably finish with Immigration around 7 AM. I understand that the UBE express bus to Intramuros (Robinsons route) begins running at 8 AM. Do you think that this bus would get us to Intramuros in time for the 10 AM Bambike tour? I realize that you can't always predict the traffic, but may I ask what you think? Thank you.

Hey, Cedric!
The travel time from NAIA to Intramuros will take 40 mins - 1.5 hours (the range is big, but the traffic is indeed unpredictable!). You can make it in time for the 10 AM tour! If you're a bit late, don't worry, Bambike will also take you to the tour so you can catch up.
I hope you will have a fun experience in Manila!
