About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- I9934WDdavidb0 contributionsSunset excursionThe adventure started as we left the sleepy dock hidden near a seaside small town. We were greeted with dance music, food, and entertainment as we navigated the waters of the Straits of Malacca. We encountered calm waters and beautiful sunset imagery. Jaz, our host, was determined to ensure that we all had fun. She made the trip so much more memorable.Written December 12, 2024

The description should mention that it’s not suitable for inexperienced drivers. Plus, it took them over 30minutes to find our pre-paid booking.Written December 4, 2024

- 848kimg0 contributionsWonderful Driver in PenangWe had a wonderful day with our driver Kris. We were able to customize the entire day with some great input from him. Kris answered our many questions and shared a lot about living in Malaysia. We enjoyed his stories and humour while also seeing many sights on the island. It was like visiting with a longtime friend. It was a most enjoyable day.Written November 28, 2024
- paulsF1068UB0 contributionsFabulous TimeOur guide Kim was fantastic who looked after us on our day trip to see the Orangutans and wildlife on this typical monsoon rainy afternoon in Sarawak Walking thru the rain forest was an experience and seeing these animals in safe surroundings was 5 Star ⭐️ We were mesmerized for 2 hours watching and being told about the animals and history of the venue The venue is a tad tired in some areas and decking & seating was broken which does need some TLC but never the less the object was completed in seeing these animals Great day for animal loversWritten November 28, 2024

- Tour3796220 contributionsGood tour, slightly tarnished by transport issues.I would have rated this higher but the trip was spoilt by our transport, which broke down on the way to the highlands and the replacement bus on the way back had brake issue (not what you want on a steep descent) which saw us wait on the side of a very busy road for them to cool down. Our guide (sorry his name escapes me) was very knowledgeable about the history of Kuala Lumpur and he was very friendly and helpful all day long. There are lots and lots and lots of shops at the top of the cable car but the outlets, which are cheaper, are at the bottom. I would recommend this tour as I hope the issues we had with the transport were one-offs and we were just a bit unlucky.Written November 22, 2024
- solo40 contributionsBeware - this is not a tour! !This was a terrible experience. We booked this tour after reading the excellent reviews. When we arrived at the cruise terminal after leaving the ship there was nobody with a sign with our names on it. It took us 20 minutes to find our ‘guide’. Turns out that he was only a taxi driver. So we set off in a private car with a driver who, it became immediately apparent had poor English and told us he had been given instructions to take us to 4 places. After five minutes we said we wanted to cancel this booking and get a full refund as it was clearly unsuitable and it was not what we were expecting. The driver contacted the agent who refused our refund request as it stated in the fine print ‘that there was no guide only a driver provided’ - in spite of being charged €106! The driver also took a selfie picture in the car without asking our permission to be in it. While the lesson learned here is to fully see what you are getting beyond just reading the reviews, it feels very sharp practice to hide behind T&C’s to take our money. We subsequently appealed to Viator who couldn’t redress our specific issues. This listing ‘as a tour’ is wholly misrepresentative and is just a taxi ride. Beware.Written November 19, 2024
- ivannas5660 contributionsAmazing boat ride! This tour was absolutely amazing! The ride in the river and then the open sea was really refreshing! And we got to see a few different things along the way as well. The Bat caves were closed and under maintenance when we visited because of the high tides and the tour guide told us it will take almost 3-4 months for it to be fixed. If that is something you’d want to do then check with the tour provider before you pay and confirm. Me and my friend really enjoyed it still!Written November 17, 2024
- ivannas5660 contributionsBeautiful day for a gondola ride! This tour was amazing! It was raining in Genting when we went which made the drive with the views that much more beautiful! And the cable car ride was epic 🤩 we enjoyed every moment of our tour. The tour guide was a little unresponsive before the tour, we had contacted him for change of pickup location and didn’t get any response. That is the only reason I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This made us a little anxious, but they called us a littler after the pickup time shared to inform about a delay with other customers and the rest of the day went really really well! Thank you Khairy for the wonderful tour! 🙌🏼👏🏼Written November 13, 2024

Prompt pickup at our hotel and our guide, Razuan, was just great. He worked around parking issues by dropping us off then meeting us at the sights after he was able to park. He was very informative - teaching us much about the Malaysian government and its' history. Razuan was able to take us to all the tour sights - give a good background on each and even was able to take us to a couple of more sights during the time period. Highly recommend with this driver.

Harry was informative, funny and helpful while driving around the various sights. Parking was a problem so after intro, I would spend time at some of the places. I enjoyed the tour because it gave a great perspective of the city at night.

A visit to Malaysia is highly recommended. However, if you cannot stand hot humid weather, then it is not a country to visit. Timing is important - tour early and from 15H00 onwards. The evenings are beautiful and much to see. The food is excellent and affordable. The people are friendly and most helpful. Penang is a must see city. Try to book in at the St Giles Hotel - central - plenty shops and places of interest and the bus service is across the road.

No need to do a tour. Take metro to Masjid Jamek and walk along the river. One night they said the water level was too high so could not display lights. The next night not much happened either. Whether it started at 7.30 and finished by 9.30pm I don't know. We got there at 9.30 and there was only lights along the river and music no fountains playing at all. Glad I did not organise a tour because it is very easy to visit the river and Merdeka Square at the same time.

Dear Riviewer
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience visiting the river. We're sorry to hear that you didn't get to experience the full light display due to the water level being too high on one of the nights. We can understand how this could be disappointing.
Regarding your experience on the second night, we're sorry to hear that there was not much happening and that the fountains were not playing at the time of your visit. The light display is usually accompanied by music and we apologize if this was not the case during your visit.
We will for sure investigate this matter and will make sure that this does not happen again in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide a better experience.
Thank you

Prompt--early--hotel pick up in clean new car. This was a private tour. Razuan was welcoming, friendly, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, in addition to being a safe driver. He delivered beyond our exceptions. He answered all our questions on our first night in KL and navigated the traffic well. He got us to the best positions for pictures and was available to take our pictures for us. He sent me picture 15 minutes after he left us off.
There was excellent communication with the company. I received notices during the day to confirm place and time. Highly recommended.

I booked this tour while I was on holiday in Malaysia, I didn’t know what to expect as this was the first time I had booked through TripAdvisor. After I paid for the tour, I had instant confirmation from the tour operator, you key where you are to be picked up, and also you can message them through TripAdvisor to ask them if they are coming and how long they will be. My driver was changed, as there had been a mix up, but arrived at my hotel 10 to 15 mins later from the time I was given, this was also due to the traffic in Kuala Lumpur, would matter if it was day or night.
The first stop was the Thean Hou Temple, this is a just one of the thousands Chinese temples in the country, this one is really striking. You are given half an hour to 45 mins at the attraction, there are many stairs up-to the main temple complex, shoes of for respect and the optional incense stick for the shrines, the place is filled with statues. I visited here when it was just going to close, but got some great photos of the place, its very colourful and the architecture its unbelievably pretty, the best one I had visited in Kuala Lumpur. I am not religious in any way, but I like to see the architecture of these structures site and hear the chanting from the monks, and what these places really mean to them.
The second stop was the Petronas Towers and KLCC, this gave you the chance to see the world tallest twin-towers in the dazzling night sky. I have seen many skyscrapers now having been to London and connecting through Dubai, but these ones have a really unique shape, I had not seen anything like them. Around here you will experience the fountain light show, this is brilliant and very soothing, you can hear all the mosques going off for call to prayer as well. There is a huge mall that sits at the foot of the the towers, not the biggest but an escape from the tropical heat, also a good time to purchase some water and food.
WEAR MOSQUITO REPELLENT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE HOTEL, THERE ARE HUNDREDS AROUND THE FOUNTAINS.
The last stop was the National Palace or in Malay, Istana Negara, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim. The building is a beautiful sight and the place is lighted up with neon yellow, and the gates are towering above you, and I mean they are massive. You will have the chance to have your photo taken in front of the place, as there is no entry like many parliament buildings. After this the tour ends, the guide will ask if you want to see anything else in the city, but this is totally up to you. My tour was different because I had seen most places at night. I also had a photo stop at Little India, as you pass through it.
The tour was absolutely brilliant and a must do in Kuala Lumpur, the guide I had spoke clear English and a few other languages, and told me lots of info about KL! Have an awesome time on this tour, its so worth it!
