About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- I9934WDdavidb0 contributionsSunset excursionThe adventure started as we left the sleepy dock hidden near a seaside small town. We were greeted with dance music, food, and entertainment as we navigated the waters of the Straits of Malacca. We encountered calm waters and beautiful sunset imagery. Jaz, our host, was determined to ensure that we all had fun. She made the trip so much more memorable.Written December 12, 2024

- Tour3796220 contributionsGood tour, slightly tarnished by transport issues.I would have rated this higher but the trip was spoilt by our transport, which broke down on the way to the highlands and the replacement bus on the way back had brake issue (not what you want on a steep descent) which saw us wait on the side of a very busy road for them to cool down. Our guide (sorry his name escapes me) was very knowledgeable about the history of Kuala Lumpur and he was very friendly and helpful all day long. There are lots and lots and lots of shops at the top of the cable car but the outlets, which are cheaper, are at the bottom. I would recommend this tour as I hope the issues we had with the transport were one-offs and we were just a bit unlucky.Written November 22, 2024
- solo40 contributionsBeware - this is not a tour! !This was a terrible experience. We booked this tour after reading the excellent reviews. When we arrived at the cruise terminal after leaving the ship there was nobody with a sign with our names on it. It took us 20 minutes to find our ‘guide’. Turns out that he was only a taxi driver. So we set off in a private car with a driver who, it became immediately apparent had poor English and told us he had been given instructions to take us to 4 places. After five minutes we said we wanted to cancel this booking and get a full refund as it was clearly unsuitable and it was not what we were expecting. The driver contacted the agent who refused our refund request as it stated in the fine print ‘that there was no guide only a driver provided’ - in spite of being charged €106! The driver also took a selfie picture in the car without asking our permission to be in it. While the lesson learned here is to fully see what you are getting beyond just reading the reviews, it feels very sharp practice to hide behind T&C’s to take our money. We subsequently appealed to Viator who couldn’t redress our specific issues. This listing ‘as a tour’ is wholly misrepresentative and is just a taxi ride. Beware.Written November 19, 2024
- ivannas5660 contributionsAmazing boat ride! This tour was absolutely amazing! The ride in the river and then the open sea was really refreshing! And we got to see a few different things along the way as well. The Bat caves were closed and under maintenance when we visited because of the high tides and the tour guide told us it will take almost 3-4 months for it to be fixed. If that is something you’d want to do then check with the tour provider before you pay and confirm. Me and my friend really enjoyed it still!Written November 17, 2024
- ivannas5660 contributionsBeautiful day for a gondola ride! This tour was amazing! It was raining in Genting when we went which made the drive with the views that much more beautiful! And the cable car ride was epic 🤩 we enjoyed every moment of our tour. The tour guide was a little unresponsive before the tour, we had contacted him for change of pickup location and didn’t get any response. That is the only reason I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This made us a little anxious, but they called us a littler after the pickup time shared to inform about a delay with other customers and the rest of the day went really really well! Thank you Khairy for the wonderful tour! 🙌🏼👏🏼Written November 13, 2024

There was quite a bit of variety on this tour: the waterfall, village, tea plantation, strawberry farms, landscape, etc. (Most importantly, LUNCH!)
The drive was roughly 3-4 hours, and it starts fairly early (7 AM for us), so rest up the night before.
Our guide, Jeffry, was super patient and accommodating. We had a group of 7, so it took us a minute to get everything together. He was flexible with the schedule/stops though and paced everything pretty well. I believe it was his first time doing this; in spite of this, he was able to give good commentary on all the different stuff we were doing. It started *pouring* on our way back, but he was ready with umbrellas for all of us!
We got back at around 6 PM, so plan for this to make up the majority of your day.

The trip makes traveling to Cameron Highlands for Kuala Lumpur so easy and exciting.
The drive is usually a 4 hour drive but when you have stops in between you are more excited and forget about the time.
We had a great driver, Jeffry, that was so accommodating to all of our needs.
He picked us up early in the morning and drove to a close by stop for breakfast after we told him we did not have time to eat some.
He also drove very carefully, making the drive to the waterfalls not to bad. The roads has a lot of turns which can make you sick.
Thank you for our beautiful experience.

Rajah was an amazing guide! He knew everything about the highlands and made great conversation with us along the way, pointing out unique and interesting things. He also went out of his way to take pictures of us, which was really nice! I definitely recommend bringing a sweater, as it can actually be a little chilly/windy and the car is cold. Also, you will need cash for entrance fees/tips since those are not included (it does say this in the listing). Also if you get car sick you should bring a motion patch or something bc the roads are quite extreme.

We both agree that this was the worst trip we've ever been on. Make sure you have updated your life insurance policy and fully charge your phone, hold on for dear life that you'll make it back. This trip should actually be called “pay to sit in a car with someone who barely knows how to drive for 12 hours on windy mountain roads”. Laurence (our driver) seemed friendly at first, but quickly told us he needs to talk to stay awake - this was not assuring at all and he kept playing with his phone while driving all day. Laurence’s driving was so erratic, he kept twitching around like he was struggling to stay awake on the winding roads which was stressing us out so much that we nearly offered to drive! He kept needing to stop and yell at other locals as if to prove to us that he spoke the language and was friends with everyone, however they just looked at him like he was crazy and didn’t respond back. At one point he drove us into a village and RAN OVER A SLEEPING DOG! He then claimed he did nothing and the dog ran away, but I saw a local pick up the dead dog with its insides hanging out. He refused to apologize and was lucky the locals didn’t do anything to him. I was angry, stressed, sad, and uncomfortable the rest of the day. I have no idea how this trip was even supposed to take 12 hours because we only went to the waterfalls and tea plantation before asking to return to KL. At one point, he even slammed the brakes on the mountain road and asked me to go find rubber trees with him. We somehow made it back in one piece after 11 hours of Laurence endlessly twitching and burping while driving dangerously slow on the highway. I will never recommend this trip and am genuinely sorry for anyone who does not read this review before wasting their money and risking their life with this man. Absolutely the worst experience of our travels in Asia.

We had excellent pre-arrival communication and driver Herry was
at our hotel at 7am for pick up. He was pleasant, safe driver and very responsive to our needs.
Prepare for a long day. About 3 hours drive each way plus more if traffic is bad. First quick stop was the waterfall. Nice but not super impressive. Then our driver suggested we spend RM10 on snacks for the kids in a local indigenous village. This was a great stop and the kids were super appreciative.
Cameron valley tea stop was busy but worth it. Purchase a ticket for the transport down into the valley. Good photos and nice to sit and have a cup of tea there.
Next stop was lunch in the main town. Then we hit major traffic issues and were stuck so we abandoned going any further and headed back to KL. We stopped at a strawberry and bee farm on the way. It wasn’t great.
So the summary is that we spent a lot of time in the car ( about 7 hours) and the driver was great but there’s just not really enough to see and do on this tour to make it worth the very long drive.

We were looking forward to this all day private tour so much but now realize that the tour depends so much on the driver. Asni Travel sent a driver that did not speak English very well and was therefore difficult to understand. We were mentally exhausted by end of day trying to decipher his words. We didn't learn anything cultural or historical about Cameron Highlands because he said he had not been there for a long time. He also skipped the town of Ringlet because he said there was nothing there and so we did not get to interact with the indigenous people. He was obviously trying to follow the itinerary that Asni sent him by scrolling on his phone while driving. He also expected us to pay for his snack and lunch which under normal circumstances we would have been happy to do. The kicker was when he wanted us to pay for his cartons of strawberries for his family at the farm we visited. I do give him credit though for driving us safely thru the winding mountain roads. I totally blame Asni Travel for not vetting nor training this driver to act in a professional manner. I feel we overpaid for a sub par experience.

Dear Machiko,
Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent private tour with us. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you faced during your experience, and we appreciate your honest review.
We understand the importance of having a knowledgeable and communicative driver to enhance the overall tour experience, and we regret that your expectations were not met in this regard. We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience caused by the language barrier and the lack of cultural and historical insights during your tour.
Your concerns about the driver's familiarity with the destination and the omission of Ringlet town are duly noted. It is our goal to provide enriching experiences, and we regret that this particular tour fell short of your expectations. We acknowledge the importance of proper driver training and guidance, and we are taking immediate steps to address this issue internally.
Regarding the driver's behavior in expecting payment for personal expenses, including snacks, lunch, and strawberries, we sincerely apologize for any discomfort caused. This is not in line with our standards, and we will investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure such incidents do not recur.
We genuinely appreciate your acknowledgment of the driver's safe navigation through the challenging mountain roads. Your safety is of utmost importance to us, and we are pleased to hear that the driver prioritized this aspect of the tour.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. We value your feedback as it helps us enhance our services for future customers. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Safe travels!

I had an incredible experience on the Private Full Day tour in Cameron Highlands. Despite the lengthy journey, the tour was undeniably worth it. We had the chance to explore a tea plantation, visit a strawberry farm, immerse ourselves in the serene atmosphere of a Buddhist temple, and explore local shops.
The only tip I would offer is to avoid scheduling the tour on a Sunday, as traffic can be quite congested. Our guide was fantastic, possessing an excellent personality and demonstrating careful driving skills as we navigated through the hills. Overall, the tour provided a perfect blend of cultural exploration and scenic beauty, making it an unforgettable adventure.

The day wasn't perfect with the weather, a few clouds didn't do justice to the charm of the Cameron Highlands where the tea plantations certainly make the difference.
The smell of you near the Boh factory is still in my memories.
When you spend so much in the car, however, the difference is made by the company and in our case Raja totally made the difference.
We talked for many hours, about life, about paths to happiness, about different cultures and points of view.
We opened up to him and returned from the trip lighter and happier.
It was an experience within an experience which however made the difference.
Even in the face of a serious negative episode experienced by the natives (who are only there for a tip and who unfortunately did not turn out to be beautiful people with a very unpleasant episode towards a girl), Raja was able to sweep away the negative energies that had been generated and do not affect the experience.
The rating of 5 therefore arises from its presence, without it perhaps the experience would be worth less given that it still requires a whole day if done from Kuala Lumpur and which would be easily achievable even independently at a lower cost given that the only really interesting things are the Cameron Valley and the visit to The Boh factory, both easily accessible and accessible even from outside.
Raja makes a difference.
Really.

The Private Full Day Cameron Highlands Nature Tour from Kuala Lumpur was an incredibly interesting and enjoyable experience. Our guide, Maran, was extremely knowledgeable about the Cameron Highlands and its natural attractions, making the tour both educational and entertaining. From the breathtaking views at the Cameron Tea Plantation to the delightful visit to the Butterfly Farm and Strawberry Farm, the tour offered a diverse range of experiences. However, the highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the visit to the indigenous people, where we had the opportunity to learn about their culture and way of life. Maran ensured our comfort and provided valuable insights into the local culture and traditions. Overall, this tour is highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Cameron Highlands and have a meaningful interaction with the indigenous people.

This tour did not meet our expectations, for many reasons. The car was old, with a loose exhaust and squeaky brakes. For the price we paid we would have expected a more comfortable car. The guide was really just a driver who talked a lot but rarely said anything of interest. He was also difficult to understand. We spent 12 hours with him in this car and were relieved when it was over. The only highlights were the tea plantations. In summary, we cannot recommend this tour.

I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve had a less than stellar experience with our tour mostly regarding the vehicle conditions and the guide. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible service, and it sounds like we missed the mark this time around.
I’ll make sure your feedback is passed on to the driver so he can better his performance in future interactions. We also will have an inspection on the vehicle to make sure it is in the best condition ever for the future tour. I hope you will give us another chance and contact us again when you’re ready for your next trip!

You could probably contact them and ask if they can offer a modified itinerary. They were very service minded. But remember that the Cameron highlands are three and a half hours away, and traffic varies. It seems a bit risky. If you do go with less time, I would skip the strawberry farm.
