For many, arriving in an unfamiliar country can be disorienting, and organizing itineraries can be quite the challenge. Leave that to someone else with this trip to the Batu Caves from Kuala Lumpur. Delve into the history of the Batu Caves, and then visit the Malaysian Batik Centre and Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Centre. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.
What to Expect

This tour begins with hotel pickup in Kuala Lumpur. If you’ve just arrived to the city, the scenic drive provides a good way to orient yourself.

You’ll arrive at the Batu Caves, limestone masses home to golden Hindu shrines and a plethora of grey macaques. Let your guide bring the Hindu history of the monument to life and ascend 272 steps to the statue of Lord Murugan.

Following a tour of the Cathedral Cave, you’ll head to the Malaysian Batik Centre and Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Centre to further explore Malaysian culture by hearing about two of the country's most popular handicrafts.

Afterward, climb back onto your coach and return to your Kuala Lumpur hotel.

Must visit

It was a nice workout climbing the colorful staircase packed with monkeys. You can easily spend a couple of hours enjoying the view.

Nice, natural place with ancient architecture

It is a very good place for nature lovers, very near to city. I recommend visiting this place by public transport as it is well connected as well as not much guidance required there.

I used Patrick Louis of Innesia Tours and Chauffeur. Patrick is a wonderful guide and driver and does hotel pickups and dropoffs too.
