Tenjinbashi entertaining Area is a really unique and amazing place, not yet with foreign tourists. When We have Japanese friends visiting Osaka, every time we take them here, then they became super happy.
We are very fascinated in searching yummy food restaurant in this area for long years.

We even got lucky and spotted an apprentice geisha (Maiko). The tour ended at a bar where we were able to sample world class whiskeys. Service was outstanding. We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked a food tour in Osaka with Kenji. I’d highly recommend taking this tour!

We learned a lot of interesting information and walked through the most beautiful areas that looked like we stepped back in time. We were even lucky enough to see a geisha during our tour! I recommend booking this tour towards the beginning of your trip because Kenji pointed out a ton of restaurants/bars that we would've loved to check out if we had the time. If you're visiting Kyoto, you NEED to book this tour!

It was a great way to see the many shines by approaching the top from behind and walking back down the main route and finishing with a soba noodle lunch. Overall it was a great morning and due to lack of tourist at the moment we got some great photos. My only complaint was that we have had much better soba noodles in other places.

But the really super special part is that he helped me plan a way to surprise and propose to my girlfriend just after the tour! He was so thoughtful with the process, even down to helping to get roses and finding the perfect spot. Kenji is a very sweet guy and Kyoto will always have a place in our hearts because of him!

His historical knowledge is impressive, enjoyable, and he welcomes challenging questions. The hidden hiking route was a pleasurable experience and concluded with a very nice lunch. The small group of six people connected easily and there was soon a positive atmosphere. He showed us spots that We wouldn‘t have found without him and introduced us not only to local food but also to tasteful drinks such as sake and ginger highball. Thank you Kenji, I really enjoyed my last evening in Ōsaka. Of all four Tours that I have taken this was the best!

He was very informative he answered all our questions and taught us many new things. At the end we had the best thing of all, food witch was worth it after the long walk ...i highly recomend this tour
- TechCru00Excellent way to experience Cherry BlossomsMy husband and I booked the Cherry Blossoms Walk with a Local tour. Kenji is an excellent tour guide. He took us to a park where there are not many tourists and we walked through the Cherry Blossoms tunnel. We had a hanami with him and 4 others in peace and quiet. Kenji brought some Japanese snacks with sake and green tea which we all enjoyed. I highly recommend this tour when visiting Japan in spring.
- zemunk11100Best way to visit Fushimi-Inari-TaishaFushimi-Inari-Taisha is a must visit in Kyoto but as with all other places of interest, packed with other tourist. So I am so glad I booked my friends and I on this hike. Mr Yamashita Ko is a friendly, caring and attentive guide. After a while it feels like u are hanging out with a friend 😊. He is knowledgeable and answered all our queries. Thanx to him, we had such a wonderful experience at Fushimi instead of getting frustrated fighting with crowds. Highly recommend!!

Great tour! Kenji offered a perfect mix of cuisine and local culture. He tailored the tour to the group’s interests and educated us on many aspects of Japanese culture and food. It is a small group setting and Kenji creates an engaging environment with him and between the guests themselves. Expect to enjoy a large quantity and variety of food! It may even require some pacing. The sushi part of the tour was especially good. This is a great trip for starting an Osaka adventure as Kenji can recommend different neighborhoods and restaurants for later. He is very personable and fun to be around! Having him made it much easier to navigate local restaurants that we would not have found or felt comfortable trying by ourselves.

We booked this tour last minute since we liked our first tour with Kenji in Gion so much. This was the best meal I’ve had during my trip in Japan. We started with takoyaki, then sushi, wagyu, and ramen. I would highly recommend this tour (and any with Kenji).

This was my second tour with Kenji. I’m so glad I joined because I was able to enjoy some great food in a truly local area. I’m 100% certain I would not have been able to go to the same places without Kenji due to the lack of English in some places so this experience is a must do.
