      Must-Do for Any Sushi Lover
In a country full of phenomenal things to do, amazing experiences, and delightful outings, this was easily one of the best. Yayo is such a gracious host and an excellent teacher. We learned to make a traditional Japanese omelette, miso soup, a wonderful dessert filled with red bean paste, and sushi - the results were fantastic! I definitely recommend that you should enjoy sushi - as long as you meet that threshold, you will have one of the best experiences in all of Japan. I will be taking what I learned home with me and will add all of these foods to my repertoire. I offer the highest possible praise and recommendation, this is a must-do experience.

Cooking with YAYO - much aloha!
My husband and I were visiting from Hawaiʻi and had booked this before our arrival. YAYO was very patient, kind and friendly and we were most grateful for the very explicit instructions on how to catch the train to get there! Especially since it was our first time traveling on the subway, train systems, etc. on our own. We had a lovely evening learning to make sushi and were pleasantly surprised at all the other dishes we learned as well. Coming from an island state also surrounded by water, we had several things in common as Hawaiʻi has a special bond with the country of Japan and YAYO made that connection even stronger. Would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting the area. It will be a pleasant cultural experience you wonʻt regret. Mahalo to YAYO and aloha ā hui hou (until we meet again).

      Awesome cooking class
This is such a cute class and I learned a lot about Japanese cooking. I wish I was there to see Ayano (the doggy), but she was taking a leave of absence. I booked very last minute and Yayo was very accommodating. I did the same pairings as well and I loved every single one of them! One thing I would suggest is when Yayo asks about preferences, let her know in advance anything you would like to try in advanced, like uni (sea urchin) or hotate (scallop). Overall, I would definitely try this again!

Cooking with YAYO - Friendly & accommodating experience!
This was a great activity and would highly recommend anyone interested in preparing Japanese food to give this a try! Yayo was patient and answered any questions I had asked. I made nigiri sushi as well as tamagoyaki served with taiyaki for dessert with shots of great tasting sake (both hot & cold) along with a locally crafted beer (Minoh Beer) – Weizen. I had gone in mid-July 2019 where it was very humid & in rainy season. The added accommodation of a creative ice pack vest helped a lot through the session as well. My only regret was not taking up Yayo’s offer of a rain coat at the end of the session as it had been raining pretty hard back then. Other than that, I had a wonderful, memorable time! Would enjoy going back in the future for a different meal to prepare. (No option to select a time before March 2020).

      Cooking with YAYO
Visited Osaka with a group of friends, and my Boyfriend. And we all agreed to book this Class with YAYO. One of the best experiences ever. She was so organized, lovely presentation of Sushi. I still have my origami she gifted us at the end of the course. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to that area.

      Extremely well organised, friendly and
This class was extremely fun as the instructor was very friendly and it was just me and my girlfriend whom attended. We were greeted by her dog who was absolutely lovely and friendly. The instructors English is quite good. Now, she has printed out sheets which advise you of the recipe and she explains each of the dishes, the instructions, and a bit of history or fun facts about the dish very well. She set up all the equipment and resources required beforehand so it flowed quite well when beginning the class. The class itself was very fun and we ended up making a variety of dishes. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend you give it a crack if you're keen to learn how to make some Japanese food.

      Lovely experience highly recommend
This cooking class shows you how to make some classic Japanese recipes including the all important Dashi stock that underpins so many of the Japanese foods. Yayo welcomes you to her home and shows you how to make a number of dishes including Miso, Taiyaki and Okonomiyaki. Yayos little dog also keeps you company. Yayo is lovely with excellent English skills. You get to eat all your creations or she provides you with takeaway if you can’t eat it all.

Make some sushi, and add in a Taiyaki!
I am quite delayed on this review, but late is better than never! This class is a blast! As a sushi-lover finally getting to learn how to make all kinds of sushi myself was both an intriguing experience as well as a delight! Yayo sensei was very skilled at teaching, even if you can't cook I would recommend the class.

      Sushi Class
This is a must do when visiting the Osaka area. The three of us had a wonderful time with Yayo, who is such a great encouraging instructor, and is so nice and sweet you don’t want to leave. The sushi was amazing and the background provided by Yayo on the ingredients and traditional Japanese customs are priceless. If you are a foodie and a sushi lover, sign up for this class.

      Absolute can't-miss while in Osaka!
This was SUCH a wonderful experience - every single part of it. We made a variety of different traditional Japanese dishes and they all tasted wonderful, especially after learning more about the history and background of each one. The instructions are explained thoroughly, and with photos and demonstrations. Don't even think twice about booking this experience!

      Great Experience
My husband & I spent a lovely morning with Yayo in Osaka. Yayo met us at the train station as planned & we walked to her studio nearby. Yayo was very welcoming. Her English is very good and she was very informative. We cooked & tasted several different dishes, along with a couple of drinks. We had a great insight into Japanese cooking and also the Japanese way of life. We would highly recommend but, don't eat before you go if you want to fully enjoy all the lovely food provided.

Yayo’s cooking class was so lovely, we had the best time! She met us at the train station exit with signs with our names, so it was really easy to find her. Her cooking class is a great mix of her showing how to do each step, and then each participant getting to do it themselves. The meal was absolutely delicious and we were very full at the end. She gave us really lovely parting gifts and overall it was just such a special afternoon spent together!

Yoyo is a skilled cook and revealed to us the secrets of the main dishes of Osaka street food!
We prepared miso soup, okonomyaki, takoyaky and taiaky. At the end we also prepared the matcha following the ritual she taught us. He also gave us a small kit of chopsticks, chopstick rests and origami

Our host was such a lovely woman, friendly and able to answer our many questions throughout the lesson. The venue was well set up. The instructions for preparing the various meals were simple and clear. A good pace to the session. We loved the personalised attention to detail all the way through. We are now prepared for shopping for the ingredients and making the dishes from abroad.

This has been one of the highlights on my Osaka trip. Yayo is super nice and fun. She is generous with time and you can see during the lesson that great attention to details has been given. I find that cooking Japanese food is particularly fun compared to other cousines. Great way to taste food at highest quality and learn about culture. Highly recommended.

It is clear that Yayo put a lot of thought and care into this cooking class. The experience was phenomenal, and Yayo was a gracious, knowledgeable, and fantastic host. The experience was filled with fun little surprises, and the plum sake made by Yayo's mother was superb. I highly recommend taking Yayo's cooking class.

If you like to cook, or like to eat, this small group experience with Yayo in her home is for you. She is a good teacher and guides you through the preparation of 3 dishes. At the end, you get to sit down and eat your dishes as your dinner. It was all delicious, better than most of the street food I had tried. Yayo is a warm, funny and charming host and teacher. It’s a great and personalized experience while in Osaka.
