A Can't Miss Cooking Class in Kyoto!
Miho was amazing! Our family had the best time learning how to make Japanese sweets. The class was held in a cute neighborhood near the metro, and we had lots of hands-on time in the kitchen. I highly recommend this class for anyone visiting Kyoto!

      A fun hands-on experience
It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It started with a warm welcome. Followed by an introduction to what we would be making. During the cooking process she was helpful every step of the way. After came the fun part of enjoying our freshly made desserts. I would highly recommend this.

Great and TASTY introduction to Japanese cuisine
I love cooking and was looking for a class that would introduce me to Japanese cuisine and culture, and that would for various levels of cooking skills. The class was just that! In about 3 hires we managed the make a full Japanese meal, including dessert, and eat it. The teacher was very kind and patient, and was willing to explain every little detail about the dishes we made, while maintaining a very happy and welcoming environment. Definitely recommend!

      Kyoto must-do
This was absolutely amazing, a highlight of my Kyoto trip for sure. The host, Miho, was incredibly personable and kind, made me feel welcome. She knows what she’s doing and explained how to make the sweets in an easy-to-follow way. If you’re at all interested in Japanese cooking, I’d say check out one of Miho’s classes and you will not be disappointed. Can’t recommend highly enough.

I have taken many cooking classes, and this is the best organized. We made a complete Japanese lunch, and chef did a terrific job of showing me how to cook each one. Highly recommended!

      Cooking Made Easy!
My wife and I attended our first instructional course from tripadvisor with a little hesitation at first but all that was put aside on the day of our first cooking class with Miho San. Her class being our first ever instructional course through tripadvisor turned out to be such a great experience. Her style of teaching and her general personality made the lesson itself tremendously easy to follow and without any stress once so ever. I highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to partake in a class in the Kyoto region regarding learning how to cook simple Japanese dishes. Thank you! We look forward to taking her course again when the chance arises.

      Wonderful experience
We had a wonderful experience with the cooking class. Miho was kind, patient and her explanation were precise. She gave us a memorable experience. We learnt to make many classics that we can’t wait to do back home! We will recommend this experience to any friends that are going to visit Kyoto. If you are in the area, you must take a little time for this cooking class. Plus, it’s near Fushimi Inari so it’s the perfect day.

Escape the heat and make fun treats!
This Wagashi (Japanese Sweets) cooking class with Miho was the best activity for my 12 year old son and I to do together, especially when it is miserably hot outside and sightseeing is just not so fun to do, this was the perfect place to be. Miho is very sweet and a wonderful instructor and is so welcoming into her home. Eating the treats we made at the end of the class was perfect, and she gave us matcha tea which we made ourselves as well!

This was an 11/10 experience. I booked this one because all of the bigger-name tea ceremonies in Kyoto (the ones you find listed online) were fully booked. However, I don’t think one can find a tea ceremony more authentic than this. The tea house/room was very elegant, and there was a beautiful small outdoor garden. Miho, the host, was so kind that she kept the reservation even when I was 15-20 minutes late due to a delayed train. She was extremely hospitable and did a good job teaching about Japanese culture and traditions. I think this is the best-of-both-worlds experience to book because I got to do a little bit of both wgashi-making and a tea ceremony. It was a good length of time, and the location was extremely convenient because it is only a 15-min walk to Fushimi Inari (went there right after). Overall one of my favorite experiences in Japan!

The experience we had was exceptional. From the attention of the host and the tea teacher. Very pedagogical. All in English but keeping the essence of Japanese tradition. An experience for both experts and novices. The quality of the product and knowledge are ten. Many thanks for everything!
