Fantastic trip and great tour guide!
We had Jose guide me and my family around Kyoto, where we were able to see the beautiful sites including Nijo Castle, Gion, Fushimi Inari Taisha and Chinion Daishoro. Jose gave us a thorough tour and a fantastic experience at Kyoto. Looking forward to our next visit!

      Great tour
Esteban was an amazing guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the sites we visited and answered our questions in great detail. Despite the heat, he was very proactive and kept sharing interesting anecdotes throughout our tour. He also did a great job adjusting the tour plan to our preferences.

A lovely half day tour of the east side of Kyoto
Our family of four with two young boys had a lovely, very memorable tour of the east side of Kyoto. My wife and I have been to Kyoto a number of times along with the crowds to the ‘must do’ sights but our guide Tad (Tadashi-San) brought a different, more reflective, calm perspective which we really enjoyed this time. We started early to miss the crowds and got to enjoy the true atmosphere, say at the zen gardens in Kinkakuji. Tad took our minds to a quiet place as he helped us appreciate the small things from the bird song to the flowers and the patterns in the swept sand… to even nature’s malting cycle for the cicada! Nothing was rushed and each sight was just long enough to take in the real Japan its sights and sounds… and not too long for the blistering heat to melt us. Tad clearly loves Kyoto, its layers of history, culture, humanity, its close bonds with nature as well as its deep military and feudal context. All this comes across in his narrative and the answers to the many questions we had! To cap it all, Tad loves his photography and videography and presented us with some wonderful memories of the day taken from his iPhone! We could not have asked for anymore. We would highly recommend both Kyoto Daily Tours and Tadashi-san to all those with a keen interest to get a little deeper into this wonderful city.

      Multigenerational Family Tour
Our Kyoto tour guide Tad was kind, patient and knowledgeable. We saw all the essential sites of Kyoto over two days as a group of 9 ranging in age from 2 to 78 yo. The tour was the highlight of our visit to Japan!

      Adria san is awesome!
Adria san was awesome. We literally did everything in Kyoto, from walking to various sites, taking the train, riding the bus...it was neat to discover different sites the local way. He took us to areas were there was not a lot of people, which was nice. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Kyoto and wanted to make sure we could see as much as we can. Honestly, it is hard to do a walking tour of the entire city of Kyoto in just 1 day. I wish we had broken it up in 2 days as I think it would give us a better experience. We will keep this in mind the next time. Doing a private tour is the way to go. I love the personal interaction we had with Adria and getting his perspective not being from Japan. Thank you Adria san for taking us around, we really had a lot of fun with you. Hope to see you again.

      Ask for Tad!
I highly highly highly recommend Kyoto Daily Tours, specifically Mr. Tadashi (Tad). We were very lucky to have Tad as our tour guide for the day in Kyoto. He is very knowledgeable about every site that we went to. He was also very kind and patient with my three little children! He also knew the best place to have lunch, an authentic Japanese cuisine location with a beautiful garden and delicious food. It was soooo good, that My five year old and nine year old wanted to go back to the restaurant for dinner! Tad took pictures of us at all the good spots that captured rhe beauty of each site and took video clips of us there, and at the end, he created a beautiful video of us and our tour ❤️ 😀. The tour was worth every single yen 💴 ❤️. I decided last minute to surprise my husband to a day tour of Kyoto for Father's day and made a request at 2am. By 7am I received a call and message that they had an available guide for us. Shortly after, I received an email from Tad. He is an amazing tour guide and a beautiful person as a whole. My kids love Tad and ask about him everyday we were in Japan. I wish we could've had an extra day with him to explore more of Kyoto, but he had an arrangement already for the next day. If you plan on visiting Kyoto, I highly recommend Kyoto Daily Tours, specifically Tad, to take you on the tours, and do 2 days with him! We love Tad!!! Thank you so much for teaching us about Kyoto, giving us inside scoops of each site, even showing us a hidden bamboo Forrest! Doomo arrigato gozaimasu, Tad!!! Tad is so very passionate about what he does and this is hard to find nowadays. It was very touching that we were able to learn so much from Tad about Kyoto and each historic site we went to. We have a deeper appreciation and love for Kyoto and it has become our favorite place out of all the places we have been to in Japan. Big love to Kyoto Daily Tours for your wonderful service and people!

      Great experience, strongly recommend
Peter was great, showing us around which we could have never managed on our own in one day. He told us its history and background at six different places, and it was very informative. We are senior citizen and were very glad to have a private guide taking us around on our own pace. It felt as if we had a friend taking us around. Strongly recommend!

      What a wonderful experience!
Jose made an impression right away picking us up in our hotel lobby. He went beyond showing us Kyoto’s amazing Shrines, Temples and Gates. He knows his history and was eager to share his knowledge answering all our questions. We feel like we made a unique friend today! Thank you

      Beautiful city of Kyoto
Jose was an amazing guide as he took us on our journey through the beautiful city of Kyoto. Highlights include kinkakuji, eating at local Japanese pancake restaurant, and walking through pontocho alley. We were able to see quite a bit as he quickly navigated us through the Tran and bus system. Would highly recommend!

      Great tour group
The guides, Javier and Juan are fabulous! Well planned tours, did 4 tours, here in Kyoto and each one was different. We learned so much, had a lot of fun and learned secret paths to avoid crowds. Well worth it. Professional, experienced, vast knowledge of Japanese culture and history.

      Amazing Kyoto Full Day Tour
We had a full day private transportation tour of Kyoto with Tad and it was amazing! Right off the bat, Tad was accommodating and helpful as we were traveling with our one year old baby. He even brought a child seat with him which made things so much easier! Tad’s knowledge of Kyoto was outstanding. Without his guidance we would have not known all the amazing facts about each spot we visited. As we navigated through the sea of people during cherry blossom, Tad took us to places where there we less people, making the day tour more enjoyable. Highly recommend and don’t hesitate to ask for Tad! You will have a great experience. We will be back soon!

Our tour guide Tad was accommodating and respectful. Our young child fell sick during the trip and we had to change part of the plan. Tad made sure that we still get to learn as much about Kyoto as possible within our constrains. He even sent us pictures of the part of Kyoto that we did not manage to visit afterwards. We will be sure to visit Kyoto with Tad the next time we return as a family!
