- E9070KPalexism00Do this today!Such a great time!! Highly recommend if you’re in Kyoto and looking for a yummy treat and a delightful experience.
- tjarchbold00Amazing okonomiyaki cooking experience! We booked a okonomiyaki cooking class and it was amazing. It felt very traditional in the home of the teacher. She was very welcoming and lovely to talk with. Would give 6 stars if we could!
- iladido00Great experience!Great experience! Aya thoroughly walked us through the tea ceremony. She was a wonderful host, explaining all the secrets of this ancient tradition and sharing a lot of insights about Japanese culture. She also gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and tea shops!
- T478AGralfm00Educational, wholesome, and very funI had a wonderful experience here. The host was very sweet and explained the tea ceremony very well!
- Jared A00PerfectionWould give more than 5 if possible - Aya is incredibly talented, welcoming and passionate. Will recommend to all! -Jared
- Tom B00Brilliant experienceAn amazing experience. Thoughtfully done, brilliant host. I learned so much and enjoyed tea at the same time. A must do experience in Japan
- 984leannw00A really lovely experienceWe really enjoyed this experience. Ikebana arrangements were everywhere throughout Japan, so it was lovely to do a class to learn a little about this artform and to experience this part of Japanese culture firsthand.
- 984leannw00A great experience for the familyOur family, including 2 boys aged 15 and 14, really enjoyed this class. It was fun and just a little tiny bit challenging, with the bonus of some yummy sushi at the end. Aya was very welcoming and it was wonderful to learn more about Japanese culture in this personalised environment.
- alexandratT3871IP00If I could give more than five stars I wouldThis was truly one of the highlights of our time in Japan. We were a group of six to include grandparents and two teen age girls. Not only are Aya and her husband fantastic host and it was a real treat and honor to be able to be in their home, the experience was fun and engaging! The final result was almost (almost) too pretty to eat. My parents are still talking about how much fun they had. I’m so so glad we were able to do this.
- Coastal4469260621700Awesome!It was amazing! Aya is a lovely person and we had a really great time with her. She explained and showed us how to make art Sushi and -omg - the Sushi was incredibly yummi. Would definitely recommend :)
- reets_wanderlust00OkonomiyakiI learned how to make authentic Okonomiyaki! I have returned to London and made this since. The class was easy to follow. Plus Aya-san is a wonderful host. I recommend this to everyone! Learn and enjoy Japanese street food!
- Candice08000Unique and Memorable ExperienceMy daughter and I took the Wasanbon dried sweets class from Aya and it truly was a highlight of our time in Kyoto. She and her husband were so warm and kind and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Aya even gave us many recommendations for our time in Kyoto. I definitely recommend Sakura Experience to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.
- emmahershey00Beautiful tea ceremonyA must see! Aya and her husband are wonderful hosts! Aya showed us a traditional tea ceremony in a beautiful setting. She was wonderful to talk to and even gave us suggestions for activities and shops in the area. I will definitely go again if I ever visit Kyoto again.
- W6769JYkristeng00Tea ceremonyHighly recommend! They were very welcoming and explained the tea ceremony beautifully. The host is kind and a wealth of information on Japanese culture.
- PonchoSandoval00What a wonderful experience!Definetely worth it. This is a great opportunity for leaving behind the buzz of a Kyoto city and get immersed in a solemn experience, authentic to the core. Aya sensei and Manabu sensei provide a sensible and meaningful insight of a traditional japanese tea ceremony. Both guide you throughout the entire experience, both in the serving and making, and are always happy to answer any questions you might have. I really enjoyed the session and learned a lot. Furthermore, Aya San and Manabu San are really great people! I feel very fortunate for having met them!
